Like most establishments that I give a three star rating to, I have mixed feelings about this place. First of all, I am not a «girly» girl. I have never been. I do not like pastel. I do not like roses, I do not like shabby chic. I do not like worn and old. I do not like tole painted anything(okay I lie, I did have tole painted hearts in my room when I was 12). Lastly, I abhor the idea of putting on an old hat and nasty pastel scarf that has been hanging on a dusty wall and worn by god knows how many other sweaty women. Despite all this, I once again found myself(much like my recent trip to Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor) attending an event at a place I would not come to on my own accord, thanks baby shower… Sticking out like a sore thumb/Wednesday Addams type in my all black and dark denim attire, I braced myself for the next few hours. However, I must admit seeing my fellow shower goers delight in their hats, cutesy cups(look none of them match) plates, etc., and overwhelmed with shades of pink and cream, I found myself starting to enjoy myself. So the positives: I love tea and this place has all you can drink tea. For serious, I just sat there in awe as they kept refilling and refilling our tea pots. The Panda Berry and Almond Vanilla were my favorite and I probably drank 8 cups of it(or whatever the equivalent of two bathroom trips is). The scone we started with was moist and served with delicious clotted cream, jam, and lemon curd. I’d like to defend their clotted cream from a previous reviewer who said it tasted like sour cream with sugar, it MOST certainly did not. A sandwich trio was served next and was totally non memorable as the sandwiches were dry and served on what was obviously cheap bread. My 10 year old daughter didn’t mind and munched them down so if you have kids, I’d recommend those. Desert was a chocolate dipped strawberry and chocolate cake. I don’t like chocolate, so I passed mine off the my daughter who said it was very good. As far as service goes, I am assuming it was the owner was working that day and she was extremely kind and hospitable as was her staff, so kudos to them. In short, it’s not a place I would come to on my own accord, and looking at the prices, I know it is comparable to a place like Chado in Pasadena, which I feel has a much better quality of food offered. However, if you have a frou frou loving daughter, sister, brother, etc. and want someplace nice to bond, and drink tea, this might just be the place for you.

Took the Moms out for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day yesterday and we had a wonderful time. The place is small and may not be as fancy as other tea places, but I thought it delivered exactly what we were looking for. The ladies hosting we very helpful and friendly. They even walked around the room and asked each table if they could take any photos for them. They also made sure everyone had enough tea, water, and food. I ordered the Ginger Peach Black tea and enjoyed two pots. The food was also very delicious. I had diced fruit, mixed green salad with raspberry vinegar dressing, a large selection of finger sandwiches, raspberry and white chocolate scones with the lemon curd, raspberry preserve, and some type of cream. The desserts were also very tasty. I am looking forward to having another fun afternoon tea at this location.

We took my mom here for her birthday today and I am absolutely shocked that this passes as a tea parlour. I wouldn’t say I’ve gone to the fanciest of tea places, but I’ve gone to enough different places to know what is customary. There were six of us at the table and they told us they only did 3 pots at a time, which is completely understandable. We obliged and ordered 3 pots. We also asked for cream, lemon and honey when we ordered. The waitress brought out the tea pots one at a time and we reminded her we were waiting on the cream and such. She then tried to pour tea for half of the table(never offering to the other people who poured their own). She didn’t understand that we asked for the cream and such to pour in first. She then disappeared for 5 – 10 minutes prepping that for us, while the tea was growing cold. It was also very strange to us that there were no sugar cubes, just sugar packets. I’ve never been to a tea house without sugar cubes — it’s like one of the number one things you have at a tea parlour. Our food was slow coming, and mediocre. The scones were not warmed for us — they came out of a basket sitting on a table nearby. They gave us teeny 4oz shot glasses of lemon curd, raspberry jam and«clotted cream» which actually tasted like sour cream sweetened with sugar. There was not enough for all of us and they never brought more(despite us asking). The salad did not have the freshest leaves — although the broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. The tea sandwiches were also mediocre. Everything tasted like it came from a can. We also expected cucumber sandwiches, but there were none. The dessert for today was lemon cake and red velvet cake. The red velvet cake was the brightest red we’d ever seen cake! The servers did not seem very knowledgeable and our original server left halfway through our service, without saying anything to us. It seemed she didn’t communicate to the other server our order very well either. Sadly, I don’t think any of us will be back. The décor was cute but it seemed too crowded and less private for separate tea parties.

Super cute place. I hosted a baby shower here on Sunday and the owner was awesome. the place is right size for a baby shower up to about 25. the food was really good. decorated tastefully. the only thing that needs work is the carpet, but that’s me just being picky!

Really secluded cute afternoon tea spot. You would never know it was there from the street it’s really hidden. As you enter there is a spot where everyone can take some feather boa’s & hats to play around with while dining. Me being a germa-phobe I opted out. The owner who was our waitress was so sweet. She really made our visit enjoyable. We did the enchanted tea offering. Ordered the Passion fruit papaya tea & the Vanilla Almond tea. As a passion fruit lover this tea was nothing special. To my surprise the Vanilla Almond was the highlight mmm so rich & creamy. Scone of the day was Blueberry. The fruit cup we got I did not care for at all. Their tea sandwiches were so good. I forget what kinds we got, but the croissant one & pimento cheese really stood out for me. The cup of soup offering was cheddar broccoli & it was delicious. A tad on the salty side though. We ended with chocolate covered strawberries & a white chocolate pink rose candy. Lovely place really. I want one of their chandeliers they were divine.

It was really cute and all about the décor. The cheddar broccoli soup was nice and hot. The dipped strawberry was delicious.

Such a lovely tea room in San Dimas, the cowboy looking part of town. Place is pretty simple looking with a collection of hats and boas, and lots of natural lighting from the windows. GOOD: The prices are really cheap for the amount of stuff you’re getting compared to other tea rooms! For about $ 17, you can get the whole shabang! This includes, scone, tea, fruits, soup or salad, 4 sandwiches, chocolate dipped strawberries, cookie, and a dessert! That’s a lot for a really low price! The scones were the bestest of the meal! So warm and soft on the inside with an outside crumbly goodness. The whole deal filled me up pretty good and I’m glad I did not order an extra scone, but perhaps taking home one was a good idea. NEUTURAL: This is the first time I had to make this category. Though the price is cheap, the sandwiches weren’t as flavorful as it is in other places. It was alright, some were slightly delicious, others were meh. The strawberry fluff I had was extremely tarty than sweet, so the whole other stuff in it(whip cream and angel food cake) was gone. Maybe it was preservatives, cause the chocolate dipped strawberries tasted more sweet without the chocolate(since it fell apart when I bit it too rough). BAD: Nothing much, though I wish they had a more variety of tea selections. They also had electric fans up on bookshelves and it is slightly distracting. Also, if you’re not familliar with the area, it is hard to find the place since it is located at the back and not in the road where you drive through the town. Overall it was a wonderful experience and a very fair price for all the things you get in this tea time~ I’d love to visit again when I’m kinda a hobo but must have tea and scones badly.

Went here on an afternoon date. Cute/cozy place and old country interior décor. Long selection of teas and you can order a full course serving or separate dishes. The Enchanted Rose selection($ 17.95 per person) includes: Your own pot of tea that they rewarm halfway through your meal. Course: 1) scone(biscuit size. Not sure if the type changes per day but ours had white chocolate chips) Selection of 3 spreads: lemon tart. Cream something and strawberry preserves. All were tasty. Sad there was so much left over! 2) soup it salad(we had tomato basil. Was tasty) 3) small cup of diced fresh fruit. Delicious. 5) four or five finger sandwiches(the last was two tied together) these were good. Also a chocolate dipped strawberry and those rolled wafer cookies with chocolate in the middle. 6) chocolate sponge cake with whipped cream and drizzled in chocolate. Good as well buy nothing fancy 7)the bill with a white chocolate rose candy colored pink. The owner was the server and she was attentive and was happy to explain what we were about to enjoy. They have hats and scarves to dress up in should you so choose! My date and I were the only men… and probably 15yts younger than the women that were there. A great experience was had by all. I’ll be coming back!
