If you’re a Sprinkles fan… Sprinkles aint got NOTHIN’ on Wakables. Not only are there a variety of amazing flavors, but Steven has wonderful service that makes his cupcakes that much sweeter! You can’t go wrong with WAKABLES. nom nom nom.

Yes, I’ve eaten cupcakes from Magnolia in Manhattan. Wakables? Better. Seriously. As a baker and a pastry connoisseur, I’ve sampled my fair share of baked goods from all over the world in Asia, Europe and the Americas(Oceania, I’ll get to you soon) and Steven’s cupcakes rank among the best cupcakes I’ve ever had with the most creative flavours and combinations. Matcha with azuki bean? I die. Nutella and fresh berries? Irresistible. The pizzazz with which Wakables’ Steven Wakabayashi styles and concocts his creations is sourced from true passion and excellence. You can tell he loves what he does. Even if it’s all about the visuals, Wakables certainly take the cake. If you’re wondering what makes a good cupcake for me, it’s about a good crumb, moist texture, bright, creative, & well-combined flavours, and fluffy frosting/ganache. You also know it’s good if you don’t doubt you can have another immediately after consuming one. Sprinkles makes an alright cupcake, but I definitely can’t eat more than half of one at once due to it’s sugar punch. Wakables Cupcakes are balanced so well that the unity/marriage of the different flavours is unmistakable. In other words, MFEO. ;)
