Vitamin Shoppe

Convenient location, friendly staff, nice store but pricier than most.
–i came here to find the OhYeah! One protein bars since they don’t carry them at GNC, the only retail place I’ve purchased protein bars. they had a good selection of flavours, including the new birthday cake.
UPDATE: I found these at Nutrition Zone for $ 1.99 with a «buy 3 get 1 free» deal (vs the $ 2.59 they charge here)!
–they also had all the flavours of the Quest protein bars and chips at a better price than GNC (however, GNC has a «buy 3 get 1 free» mix and match protein bar deal, so the regular price would be better there. however, I picked some up cause they were on sale for only $ 2.19. Regular price $ 2.69, which is about 20 to 30 cents more than Trader Joes and Sprouts.
UPDATE: found these at Nutrition Zone for $ 2.39 with a «buy 3 get 1 free» deal… definitely the best price!
–i was a bit disappointed that they only have a limited variety of the Combat protein bars, but the price was lower than GNC per bar, but not after you factor in GNC’s «buy 3 get 1 free» deal.
–the store is new, clean, well organized and bright
–all the prices are clearly marked and they offer discounts on bulk/​case purchases and seem to have good sales
–its located in a strip mall near a wide variety of other stores (Vons, CVS, Kohls, Target, Wallgreens etc) so its a convenient location when you’re doing your other shopping
–there is 30 minute parking right in front of the store, but the parking lot is so big there is no shortage of parking
–the staff is really nice. i was greeted as soon as i walked in and the lady working there took me right over to the protein bars i came in for
–the store manager rang up my purchase and was really, really nice. he answered a bunch of questions I had and seemed really knowledgeable about all the different bars
–neither of the employees tried to «push» me or upsell me into buying other items, which I frequently encounter at other supplement shops
–he did offer me a loyalty card which gives you $ 5 back for every $ 100 you spend. it only took a couple of minutes to sign up
–i can’t really comment on the rest of the store and its items, but I would only come back here if there was a sale or i was looking to buy something new and needed recommendations from the manager

I usually go to CVS or Sprouts however I have been getting a better deal at the Vitamin Shoppe. There selection is more diversified and a better fit for my health need.
I have used their BOGO several times as well as the discount card. This is now my go to place for health and fitness.

Love this store and the helpful staff. I can’t think of the managers name but he used to help me la Mesa and now this store. He super nice, helpful and very informative. Being addicted to taking to healthy supplements and using homeopathic alternatives for pain, illness or injury I’ve come here each time and feel amazing! There are times when you need pharmaceuticals but I always try alternative route. I also buy protein bars (quest which are the best) and warier blend plant derived protein shakes.

This place is horrible! Went in yesterday for my first time to pick up some stuff and literally had to wait so long to pay that I gave up and left. Not only is the service awful, even if you just want to pay for product, you better have all day. I am not an impatient person but when 1 of the 2 sales people can’t work their register and the other one just won’t, there’s a problem. With how easy Amazon is, places like these need to step it up. I will NEVER shop here again. Actually, since I couldn’t even pay… I will never TRY to shop here again.

I currently have VIP membership status with a competing nutrition store, however, none of their store locations were close to my work. Instead, I came to the Vitamin Shoppe because I was in much need of more multivitamins. While I was there, I also wanted to look for a certain kind of organic shampoo and conditioner that my mother-​in-​law wanted.
The manager, Eric, is honest and a very knowledgeable of the products they carry. He didn’t try to sell me on anything he wasn’t already knowledgable about or hadn’t already tried himself. I was looking for a non-​GMO women’s multivitamin in capsule form and he was able to quickly pull from the shelf those that fit under that category. He mentioned that one was newer, so he was not too familiar with its effectiveness, etc. Yet, he knew much of the ingredients of each bottle, before even pointing them out to me on their product labels. I ended up going with the one containing the most super foods.
As I was checking out at the register, Eric had mentioned the good results he’d had with the organic lemon grass shampoo and conditioner I selected for my mother-​in-​law. That gave me better reassurance that she’ll like them.
The service here was phenomenal. The store is clean, well-​organized, well-​stocked, and well-​staffed.
The plus is that parking doesn’t seem to be an issue, as they have 30-​minute parking spots right in front of the store and the store isn’t connected to Kohl’s, CVS, or Vons, which are located on other sides of the parking lot.
I just signed up for their Healthy Awards membership, since I will be coming here more often. I hope to gain my VIP status here shortly, as well!

Came in this morning looking for creatine for women and had a really great experience. The employees were really helpful, the tan girl with dark brown hair really helped me figure out what would be a great product for myself to try. I ended up buying two items since they had a great sale going on. Great employees, great products!

The staff here is really friendly and helpful. I usually know exactly what I need when I walk in. And where the items are located since this is a not so big store. If you have questions the staff is always willing to help and answer.
I like that this store is located in a convenient shopping area with quite a few other stores and eateries in the area. It makes my shopping kinda like on stop drop and roll.
The drawback is that it is located next to some popular foodie places so the parking can be a bit tight at times.
For frequent shoppers they have a Shoppers card where it tracks your purchases and they email you notifications that its time to buy again. And they also email coupons sometimes. If your not paying attention to your emails you end up deleting them (not like this has happened to me or anything LOL)

I’m surprised that no one else has ever checked in or reviewed here! I love the vitamin shoppe. They carry so many supplements and natural toiletry/​personal-​care products! I come here all the time… the staff is very knowledgeable, they’re also a little too helpful! I like to meander through stores and they offer to help about 10 times while I’m there each time, but I will take that any day over no help at all! They also have a quality selection. I trust most of the brands on the shelves as well as their own brand. The store itself is very bright and clean.
