Went to The Who concert extremely wonderful sound surrounding but the volunteers did nothing to keep people from standing in our view so we did their jobs while they watched the concert. It must be why they volunteered right!

I’m sorry… worst Venue I ettended. Paid $ 220 for Front Floor Seating, Section«F», should have just paid less & sat in arena April 9, 2016, Frankie BEVERLY& Maze, KEMAND Joe. People in front of us stood standing up ENTIRECONCERT! Ushers never asked them to sit down, so disappointed. Will never attend concerts here again. Truly a waste of money.

Besides being an old, run down venue with a questionable layout and uncomfortable seating, Valley View Casino Center has some of the most incompetent staff I’ve come across at an arena such as this. First off, we had trouble finding our seats, as the signs above the doors to the arena are redundant and unclear. When I asked an attendant, he said that he honestly did not know where our seats were, and for us to just walk around the perimeter of the venue until something looked similar. The worst part, though, was upon entering when we went through security. The security guard basically pillaged my purse, confiscating a lint roller, a pill pusher I use to medicate my sick cat, and my own personal antibiotics that I have to take every 6 hours. She said she didn’t think I should have stuff like that. Meanwhile, my friend walked right through with a swiss army knife. I ended up with that icky feeling one gets when their belongings are stolen, before I even formally entered the venue, and it pretty much ruined the rest of the night for me.

First time at Valley View Casino and didn’t really know what to expect. If I was to comment on the San Diego Soul Music Festival itself, I would say I enjoyed every bit of it. REALMUSIC– Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Kem and Joe. However, that’s not what this is about. The parking was overwhelming unorganized. As long as they recieved your $ 20 for parking, you were on your on. We didn’t have a problem locating our seats, but I was basically sharing my seat with the man sitting next to me. He wasn’t a big guy, but he definitely felt like he was with his shoulder dang near resting on mine. I had to sit almost side ways to get breathing room. Smh. The prices for everything(food, wine, liquor, water) were outrageous and you would of paid less at the airport. On a good note, leaving Valley View and the parking lot went pretty smooth and we didn’t have any issues. Recommendations: If you want space, stand or pay for the next seat to keep empty! Hydrate, eat and take a shot before you come or be prepared to drop some good money trying to quench your thirst.

The mess that is what they consider parking is completely in disarray. It took almost 45 minutes to find our way into the stadium parking a lot because of the chaos that was created by the endless flow of cars. There was no real traffic direction in or around this venue. I can’t imagine if this was a sold out event, it would be horrendous. We came to see good artists and they deserve 20 stars but the venue itself needs a facelift. It was reminiscent of how The Forum in LA used to be. The exterior and interior of the Valley View Casino venue needs some tender, loving, repair. We wouldn’t dare do another concert here. Our tickets cost much more than what the accommodations were offering. Overall the parking was a mess, the décor was horrible and the seating needed major upgrading.

Great venues but long lines to get in. Lots of choices at the concessions. It sucks if you buy a water bottle because they pour it into a cup. Defeats the purpose of a water bottle. This is one of the few places that still book good performers.

This venue is convenient for raves because it ends at 4AM than the usual 2AM at all Insomniac related events in the San Bernardino County. I think this venue is good because as a T-Mobile user, I have good reception! Also, it’s an indoor raves so you aren’t breathing into dust and stuff in the air. Lights shows is pretty here. Very on point! Sometimes I would just sit down and enjoy the lights show whenever I can during the rave. Parking here is about $ 20. My friends and I would just walk from our hotel(Good Nite Hotel) since it is walking distance and ain’t nobody got time to drop $ 20 for overpriced parking. For a rave at a venue like this, it looks small since everyone/everything is within walking distance. But it is very nice! Right next to Phil’s in and other convenience stores in the area in case you are wondering! :) PLUR vibes~

Full Disclosure– We own Cali Comfort BBQ and are now privileged to sell our BBQ at VVCC. However, I felt it was important for fans to learn that this venue is a five star sports and entertainment experience. My wife and I are beyond impressed with the improvements that Ernie Hahn and AEG have made to the historic San Diego Sports Arena which is now called the Valley View Casino Center. Now with Ari Segal running the San Diego Gulls Hockey Club, fans are flocking to VVCC in record numbers to experience a first class professional sports operation. Do yourself a favor and buy tickets to the event at VVCC that draws your interest. Eat from one of the new food vendors, enjoy some local craft beer and take photos to share with your friends. You will not be disappointed. the

This review is for the SD Gulls hockey game. The boyfriend and I had vouchers for a free game to see the Ontario Reign, courtesy of Bailey’s Buddies. But after checking the team’s schedule, I thought a trip to San Diego would be fun. Not to mention we would be playing the Gulls(Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate) Gotta love those crosstown rival matchups. I would say this arena is surprisingly nice. It is a little on the older side, reminiscent of a pre-renovated Forum. Seats were really comfortable. Cushion-y and sunk down to an almost slumped level, BarcaLounger style. It was perfect for my bad back. The disappointing part was that I wanted corner seats that faced the logo and assumed facing the player bench would be the safe bet. The lady at the ticket booth didn’t understand our request, clearly. We were also told we would be in the last row of the section(which was what we wanted) but we ended up in row 12. There was a computer glitch as we were purchasing our tickets, so that could be the reason why. $ 18/each plus service fees for upper corner, which felt like the 200-section at Staples. The crowd was dominated by Gulls fans, but I got the sense that not a lot of fans were actually paying attention to the game. The boyfriend compared the casual environment to a beer league game. We, on the other hand, refer to ourselves as «couch GM’s» and took this time as a serious opportunity to scout our prospects.(Think«Fever Pitch») I am completely jealous of the concessions offerings. In addition to the usual soft pretzels, popcorn, and beer stands, they also had fish tacos, poutine and acai bowls. We stuffed ourselves at the Valley View Casino buffet(nowhere near the arena) so I was disappointed that I didn’t get to sample anything. We took a look at season ticket pricing and fantasized at the prospect. The price we pay at Staples for nosebleeds would have us behind the player bench, in the«Limited Edition» section. For sure if I ever took my threats of relocating to SD seriously, I would be a season ticket holder for Gulls. And do a «Major League» flip-flop when Reign are in town. GKG! $ 15 for parking. We took off with 3 minutes left in the game since we were down and wanted to beat the crowd out of the parking lot.

This place is such a dump. I can’t even believe this is a major venue in a major city. Been here three times now for Gulls games, and I still think it is incredible how there is only ONE window area to purchase tickets and to access it, you have to walk around the entire arena. Inside, there are parts of the ceiling literally hanging down over the seats and entire seating areas blanketed off because of the roof’s disrepair. The seats are like the old vinyl car seats you maybe had in a 1980 Chevy. Parking $ 15. SERIOUSLY? That’s as much as a ticket. I’ve been to dozens of other sports arenas and especially with minor league hockey, nobody charges this. Hockey fans are conditioned to overpay for things, yes, got it, but come on. The only redeeming quality of this area and I mean the ONLY one is the awesome selection of vendors in the concourse. There’s a frikking Kona Brewing in here for crying out loud. There’s such a huge selection of specialty stands and craft beers and it always surprises us because again, the arena is so dumpy. It could pass for a Philadelphia flyers arena it is so nasty.

This poor, old sports arena! Here, allow me to put more emphasis on POOR and OLD. Back in the day, my family frequented many San Diego Gulls games, Disney on ice events, and even San Diego Soccers matches here, but It had been years since I had been back and my how is has fallen to ruin! I mean, it truly does look and feel like it has gone without love and renovation for quite some time. And when did Valley View Casino buy it out? Has it always been property of Valley View? This arena DOES get it somewhat right when it comes to their 360-degree concerts. Saw MUSE here 2 weeks after I saw the Gulls here(you guys, they’re back!!) and what a difference for this venue! The 360 stage bodes well for this spot: not a bad seat in the house! Especially when you’re in the first row just above the standers in general admission ;) During the Gulls game, I was fortunate to sit in the VIP lounge –that area for the most part is well-kept, but goes to show its likely only that way because of the Very Important Person element. Sorry, everyone else, wallow in the filth! The security situation, while I understand the more recent need to bump it up, is a pain. Getting inside can be pretty tumultuous, no matter what event you’re there for. Lastly, be prepared to be stuck in traffic… forever…at the end of whatever you’re attending. This location absolutely blows when it comes to allowing steady traffic flow. It always has –seemingly always will???

I came here recently to watch a Gulls game. My advice to you if you live close Über! Parking is $ 20(a lot in my opinion for a minor league team) and apparently they tow if you park in the shopping mall across the street like crazy. You can park at Padres and Chargers games for the same or less and those are pro teams but I digress. We got the tickets for free so paying for parking wasn’t that bad. The stadium itself is sort of an eye sore(not as bad as Qualcomm) but hey it’s minor league hockey. The food options weren’t half bad. They have typical sporting event food(hot dogs, burgers, etc) and even a pretty decent BBQ spot. Prices are what you would expect them to be for food $ 5-$ 15 depending on what you order. If you come here for a hockey game bundle up because it is chilly! I wore a sweatshirt and almost wish I brought a jacket. I saw several people with hats and gloves on. Getting out of the parking lot can be a little bit of a disaster so maybe leave when there is a little time left. Over all we had a good time at the game even though the Gulls lost. Definitely come check the Gulls out if you like sports and don’t have plans. You can get pretty cheap tickets and they offer $ 2 beers on Fridays.

I’ve come here several times in the past few years for Disney on Ice. Sports arena area can get a little congested, so if you’re on the way to an event, it wouldn’t hurt to come early. The parking lot surrounds the arena, Ace company helps in keeping things organized. $ 15 fee for parking. the facility itself is clean. But overall, the facility and parking seems a bit old and outdated. Definitely an old school feel. Modern upgrades would definitely help!.. This most recent visit, The man at the ticket booth was friendly and worked quick. The few ushers we interacted with seemed bored. We sat up at the terrace(the upper levels), but the view was still pretty decent. In the end, Disney on Ice never fails to bring some or that Disney Magic to San Diego, and the kids had a great time at the valley view casino!..

Was here for a SD Gulls hockey game. The size of the venue seemed good for the event. Parking was easy enough. We’ve come to expect to have to pay for it($ 15). The interior feels like it’s from the early 90s. I doubt it’s been touched since then. I get the impression the owners don’t want to put any more $ in to the arena, and are just waiting it out until it’s time to replace the entire building.

This isn’t the nicest venue in San Diego but it does the job. Like any facility they charge for parking about $ 20. Getting out can be a mess. Try to head towards Sports Arena Blvd exit as they usually have people traffic control. Getting into the venue: they have separate entrances for floor seats vs everybody else. So make sure you ask before standing in line. The nice thing about the sports arena is it’s pretty small in comparison to most venues. There is the arena floor, loge and terrace. Last night at Muse’s concert, they set up the stage in the center of the arena making any seat in the house a good seat. Another plus is they sell not only beer but cocktails. It’s about $ 10.50 for the spirits so plan your budget accordingly.

The reviews don’t lie, this place is painfully in need of a remodel. I will give them an extra«benefit of the doubt» star, because it looks like they are working on some improvements. They recently enhanced the food options by adding in some local food vendors(Pizza Port, Mess Royale, Cali Comfort BBQ). This is certainly a step in the right direction, but don’t go thinking this is Petco Park. The best deal I saw on local beer was at Pizza Port(cans for $ 11.50). As far as stadiums go, Valley View Center is small. I actually count this as a «pro». Our seats were pretty far from the stage, and I still felt like we had a good view. Some people may think of this as a «con» though, as you don’t get the same energy here as you would in a larger stadium. If you arrive early, there is plenty of free street parking in the area. This will not only save you the $ 20 parking fee, but a lot of time after the show. As we pulled away on I-8, we could see the long line of suckers waiting to get out of the lot. This venue still(somehow) pulls in a lot big names, and for that I am thankful. I just wish it didn’t feel like I was watching them in the 70s.

Every seat in this arena is a good seat. Prices for this arena is quite a bit cheaper than the LA and OC counterparts. With that being said, its still an old arena, which just 2 levels of seating: the lower and upper. Even the upper level is lower than the club level of say Honda Center or Staples Center. They did redo some of the lower seating by the glass, and they got a new Scoreboard! The arena is located in the heart of a busy location, with plenty of eateries in a 5 minutes walking distance. There’s a Chick fil A literally at the entrance, an Olive Garden, Pieology and other casual places across the street. There’s even the famous Phil’s BBQ across the parking lot. If you’re not into getting food beforehand, the arena sells food, but average price is $ 12 for whatever you get, ranging from pizza, poutine, lobster, tacos, chicken and snacks like popcorn and caramel apples. Their sodas are cheap(for arena prices), only $ 5 for a huge coke product. They also sell them in bottles. Parking is $ 15 cash, and we parked literally at the front door. I saw a lot of people walking across the street toward Target, but I wouldn’t want to chance parking there if I may get towed. Anyway, its an old relic that needs a new upgrade.

Got the chance to see Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour at the Valley View Casino Center. Madonna was definitely worth the drive to San Diego, and she did not disappoint! You’re still the queen, Madonna! When tickets first became available in June, we thought the venue was at Valley View Casino that’s located close to Temecula. Madonna at the Valley View Casino? No way! Did some research and found out that the Valley View Casino Center is really the indoor arena formerly known as the San Diego Sports Arena. Not at all close to Temecula, but right next to Sea World. At first sight, you can immediately tell that this venue has seen better days. Also, it was big disappointment that were absolutely no slot machines! Hehe. The Valley View Casino Center really needs a face-lift outside and inside, but the venue offers a small and intimate atmosphere to see one’s favorite artists. This makes up for its cosmetic shortcomings. I actually prefer these smaller venues to the much bigger and newer, but cold-feeling ones like the Staples Center in L.A. For Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour, it probably held 8,000 to 10,000 screaming fans. We were actually at The Forum to see Madonna for the same tour two days ago, and it did not have the same intimate feeling! The lower level seats in the third row were also perfect! The sound quality was also pretty good, as well as the bathrooms. Wishing though that the city will direct traffic leading to the venue a little better. A very long line of cars on about a half a mile stretch of Sports Arena Boulevard crawled at a speed of less than a mile per hour. It took about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the parking area. Surprisingly, the traffic flowed much better when left the venue after the concert. Relieved that it was definitely a way better flow of traffic after the concert. Despite its cosmetic shortcomings, will definitely make the long drive and experience the intimate atmosphere at Valley View Casino Center.

Well all the reviews say this place is run down and in dire need of an update, I have to agree. The parking lot is pitted, the venue looks like it is going to fall apart or be on CNN for a structural failure report. The good news, we parked, got our tickets checked, got seated in less than 10 minutes start to finish. The fold out seats on the floor looked archaic but they had cushions on the butt and back so they were surprisingly comfortable. Leaving the venue was a bit more chaotic, took about 15 – 20 minutes to get out of the lot. If you want to be someplace nice to experience your event don’t come here. If you want to get in and out of your event in less than an hour, this is the spot. FYI we were here to see Ed Sheeran and that guy is an incredible one man show 5 stars for Ed!

Valley View Casino Center(aka the Sports Arena) is not too bad of a venue. The place isn’t brand new, but it gets the job done. Ed Sheeran played here Tuesday night 06⁄23. Great show… he’s very talented. The seating was comfy enough and the view we had wasn’t bad at all. Sound was nice and I thought the crew that set up the lights and multimedia did a pretty good job. I would eat(and drink) beforehand versus buying the pricey food and adult beverages here. Lots of variety in the area: Chic Fil A, Phil’s BBQ, Pieology, In N Out, Chili’s, and Red Lobster just to name a few. Parking is like $ 20 or so unless you find street parking. It’s somewhat of a pain to get in and out so it’s better if someone can drop you off and pick you up. I got someone to drop us off and pick us up with a dinner bribe. Other options: Über, Lyft, or taxi. Many ways to exit the area… so it’s way better than Sleep Train Amphitheatre.
