Ultimate Tattoo & Piercing

well i went here on 2 different times the first time i walked in to see about getting a side pace done on my ribs and that didn’t go too well the guy really talked me out of if as if he wasn’t sure if he wanted or could do it when it was just the name of a CITY so after about an hour of wasted time and discussing different tattoo ideals i left went someone else and i love it… The second time was there was last weekend to see about getting another tattoo real simple just (1Corinthians 13:11) and the guy that i was talking to basically talked me out of getting this as well he told me that the shop charges $ 150/​Hr WHAT!!! really and then he told me that it was gonna take like an hr and a half and it would be about $ 175 WHAT!!! now either your lying about your hourly charge or you don’t know math i think it was both so i just left again went some where else and got it done for $ 60 and love it going back there all the time now…

Ran into studio because my tongue ring fell out and being a newbie to piercing, I was way to freaked out to put it back in myself. As soon as I walked in, I knew that I would like this place. Didn’t have that «creepy» tattoo parlor feel and the guy at the front counter was super nice (not sure what his name is but he looks like Cee-​lo). Josh who was the piercer on staff came right up to help me. He changed out my double ball barbell to a flat disk and ball one and was nice enough to not charge me a thing. He told me it would heal faster if I stopped playing with it (oops) and come back to see him if I needed anything else. Well after a couple of hours, I did because I forgot I couldn’t have the flat disc on the bottom and needed Josh to bail me out again. This time I tipped him and thanked him again for being so cool.
Because of the huge amount of tattoo/​piercing studios in the area, these guys are being lost in the shuffle. Give them a chance because they are a great bunch of guys (and they are offering 50% right now).

I had an AMAZING experience when I went into this shop not too long ago! On a whim, I decided I wanted to get a smallish tattoo in black and grey — pretty basic. I had a rough idea of what I wanted and went into the shop to see if I could get the tat same day. Eric was GREAT! He not only was super friendly and helpful, he spent a lot of time turning my lame sketch into a work of art! The basic tat turned into something that really can only be described as art and Eric is a great artist!
Eric took a lot of time creating the tattoo and efficiently inked it on my skin. It looks awesome — way way better than I ever thought it would or had in my mind it would look like. He asked a VERY reasonable price and I will def be going back to get more ink done!
Oh and some other important things: the shop is very clean. they have a ton of body jewelry available. they take time to explain aftercare and want you to come back in to make sure the tat healed correctly — great customer service! The other emloyees there were also very friendly and helpful.

right when you walk in it smells CLEAN and looks CLEAN which is always a plus! came in here with my sisters to get tattoos and was helped right away! very friendly and made good conversation.
couple weeks later i went back to get my 2^nd tattoo done by eric. he did an amazing job! took his time & it came out perfect i loved it. this is def where i will be going for my tattoos. they are all really nice if eric isn’t available ask for phil he does an awesome job too!

Worst experience at a tattoo shop EVER! If I could rate under 1 star, I would.
I just wanted to get a simple Bible verse tattooed on my chest. A friend said that Rick at Ultimate tattoo does good script so I called them up, here’s all the negative things that happened:
1. I called and asked for Rick to do my tattoo but the guy on the phone said NO and pawned me off on another artist. Very unprofessional and rude to do when someone calls up asking for a specific artist.
2. Even though I didn’t get the artist I wanted, I still scheduled to come in a couple hours later and get it sketched up and hopefully done as well. BUT, when I called later before I headed over, (thank god i called before) the guy on the phone said that my artist was out for the night and to try again tomorrow. WTF?!
3. Even with that, I still came in the next day. When I walked in, they made me feel EXTREMELY AWKWARD and UNCOMFORTABLE and nobody seemed to know wtf I was talking about the two different people I spoke with on the phone regarding my tattoo.
4. The guy who finally (and reluctantly) decided to help me just told me to write the verse down on a piece of paper with my name and phone number and he’ll call me TOMORROW when he had it sketched out. (didn’t even bother to ask about my vision of what I wanted) AGAIN, WFT?
5. It’s been over a week, STILL NO CALL.
I wish I could list some positive things, but there were none! I never leave bad reviews because I am a very easy going person and very easy to please. But this was just all bad! There are plenty of other tattoo shops in San Diego that treat their customers very well. Avoid this place at all costs!

I haven’t had a tattoo done at Ultimate Tattoo specifically, but Megh (now working at Ultimate Tattoo) did my tags while she was still working in Texas. Her work is most excellent.

I was basically a walk in. Or should i say a chat in. Little bro was working the front desk. when i called in the saturday before mothers day.
me: hey little bro i wanna get my mamas name on me.
little bro: well come on in
me: can greg do it?
little bro: no but patrick can
me:the rockabilly dude
little bro: yup
me: he has been wanting to ink me for a while
little bro: well come on in, what do you want?
me: a tradition rose with my mamas name on it.
with in thirty mins i went to the shop, and i was sat down, stenciled and ready to get inked by patrick!
Three hours later i was all inked up in traditional rose with my mamas name and im a happy camper…

Our first experience with Ultimate Tattoo– have previously gone to Above All in PB, which is another great shop. Went to UT’s new shop on El Cajon in the College Area. What a nice big shop! Lots of seating for guests. My husband went to James for some script work– set up an appointment on a Tuesday and was getting inked by Friday. James created a design that fit what my husband wanted perfectly. He even stayed in the shop late for us (they close at 7pm) due to my husband’s work schedule. Hubby said he had a light hand and the script came out beautiful with nice shading elements. We will be going back for any future tats!
