I would give this place a NOSTAR I was sitting outside not bothering anyone, needed to use wifi for a couple hours and the 2 retarded flunkies they have as bouncers. Josh and Fabian approached me and said. You will have to leave you’re not a guest. I was sitting in the rain not hurting anyone, the manager Jeong Park allows this Hey Grant Hotel. YOUFAILED! Its a public hotel welcomed to the PUBLIC !!! STOPHARRASSINGTHEPUBLICWHOAREPAYINGYOURWAGES.!!

Beautiful hotel downtown. Sorry to have learned the service in the grill is pitiful. We sat at a table for 10 minutes and no one greeted us. I finally got up and chased down a waitress and asked if someone could take our order. She said yes but we sat another 10 minutes and, still, no one came by. Several servers and a manager were standing around chatting at hostess station. Too busy chatting with each other to serve us. We finally caught a manager who apologized and said they were so busy because of Book of Mormon. We shouldn’t have to suffer and be treated as second class customers because Book of Mormon was going on. It wasn’t that busy in there. Finally, a different manager came over and waited on us, but had a lot of attitude and felt it was above his job. I give this place an «F» for service, a «B» for food(tough to pay $ 16 for a pastrami sandwich) and an A+ for the live music, The Archtones. Recommend going there for live music but don’t expect to be served, and don’t waste your money on the overpriced food. Expect to have to chase down someone to serve you and, when you find one, they’ll be too busy to help you.

Very nice hotel. Close to Gaslamp. Service at check in was great. Rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Cleaning and room service say hello when you walk down the halls Bathrooms are nice. Wish there was a bath tub, but the shower is great. No pool or jacuzzi at the hotel but you can use the one across the street at the Westin. Turn down service is optional. They give you free bottles of water. Had room service for breakfast one day and the French toast was good. $ 45 a day for valet parking seems expensive, but there really weren’t any other choices. Would stay here again.
