Tigris Mediterranean Grille

I’ve been eating here for the last year. The food is great. The beef Tikka and chicken Shawerma are the bomb. The garlic sauce is so good. My girlfriend loves their salads. I think our favorite part of coming here is Bridget. She’s always so happy to see us and everything she tells me to try has been awesome. Love her!

Chicken shwarma plate, ground beef skewer, and chicken tikka plate are all delicious. Super friendly hostess. Very delicious and flavorful food. Two thumbs up.

All the food was delicious and excellent quality just like dining in the restaurant. Food was delivered at a lower cost than all catering we requested quotes from. Our guest enjoyed the variety of food Bridgette put together for our menu. I would highly recommend using them for catering events or picking up a delicious plate of chicken shawarma for lunch or dinner.

Inattentive and bad customer service. This was my first time here today and I ordered the falafel wrap combo to go. I could tell the woman that was taking my order wasnt listening. Oh but she did call me sweetheart. Like I give a fuck. My order was all wrong. I asked for no pickles, there was pickles. I asked for extra sauce, there was no sauce. I asked for it to go, they gave me an eat in plate which I had to transfer myself into a to go container. Don’t call me sweetheart in a fake ass voice just get my food right. I work in the area but I’ll never be back.

I went with my boyfriend and my daughters on a day that my little ones were acting like rats, as they sometimes do. The waitress, Bridgette, was all smiles and wasn’t bothered by a thing. She knew how to handle that situation. She really made me feel welcomed and had great recommendations for the picky little eaters. The entire staff is all smiles and the food is amazing. 10 stars!

Chicken Tikka Plate is sooo good and portions are huge. Whenever I eat here I always end up having enough left over for dinner. They give you a ton of rice, good amount of Tabouleh salad, and unlike some places they are not stingy with the Hummus. You also get a couple of pieces of flat bread with the plate and some garlic sauce. Good value, great flavors, and the staff is always friendly.
One annoyance: Seems like when I call ahead they don’t start making my food until I get there and pay. What’s the point of calling ahead then? So beware if you call ahead during the lunch rush. You will have to wait for a bit.

I had visited this place when it was CK Mediterranean and liked it a lot but had not visited the new place until recently. After having eaten here I am disappointed in myself for waiting so long.
I love their Tigris fries! I have tried the half and half and also they gyro. I personally love the gyro more but I like it with the garlic sauce. Their garlic sauce is amazing just be ready for the lasting taste and smell. The pickles on top are wonderful and this is coming from a person who is not a fan of pickles.
The salads are large and are amazing. At first I thought it was a tad on the pricy side when you add chicken but having seen the portion I changed my mind.
I appreciate that they leave boxes and lids out so they are easily accessible and there is no extra time waited having to ask for a box or lid.
This is a wonderful lunch spot. Luckily I work close by so I can frequent this place often.

I really enjoyed my dinner here. The lady at the register was fast in taking my order and they food took no time at all. I got the chicken shawarma wrap with fries and hummus. The wrap was very good. I could of used more sauce on it but if it were up to me I would have more then I bet most people like. The fries were crisp and the hummus with pita was a very large portion and the perfect amount of garlicky. It was over all a very good meal for a descent price. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for good shawarma.

Tigris is one of my favorite lunch places around! Near work, incredible food, and awesome service. Bridget is so sweet and happy every time I go in, she is a ray of sunshine. And their chicken shawarma and garlic sauce is a personal addiction. So glad they’re here!

Came here twice and won’t go back again. First time was a gyro salad and second and most recent was a gyro sandwich combo with fries (which were decent). The gyro was thick cut but lacked flavor. The portion was big, but the worst part was the white sauce. First there was way too much of it glopped on just one side of the sandwich that caused it to ooze everywhere. Second, it tasted more like ranch than tzatziki sauce. Save yourself a trip and go to the kebab shop — way better way to spend your $ 11 lunch money.

Fantastic Mediterranean food, quick style (although cooked fresh to order!) and located in the strip mall across from Panda Express. Everything I have tried here is delicious, you really can’t go wrong. Portions are huge, so I always have enough left over for lunch the next day. Sign up for their rewards club and you get great discounts all the time. They also have plenty of Vegan, Vegetarian, and All Natural choices, although the Beef Tikka is mouth-​watering! Prices are also very reasonable for the quality and quantity. There’s a reason I’m a regular! Actually, lots of reasons… The super sweet Bridget who works the front also makes the experience extra special! Don’t miss out!

Heleen was the greatest at my new favorite Mediterranean Restaurant with take out and catering!
I walk in without ever being here before. I always rank a place on their ability to get the sauce or salad dressing right. I asked to try the Tiziki sauce before ordering anything. It was yummy off a spoon from the side order cup. Then I began to ramble about my dinner guests and what I thought might sound good. She gave me options off both catering and individual plates. Showed me sizes, prices and helped me choose. Afterward she handed me a sample of their Chicken Shawerma with the garlic sauce and pickled veg on top! Loved it!

I strongly recommend coming here on a lunch break because they are fast & provide a large meal without feeling guilty. Every time I’ve been here, there has been a crowd, but I have never had too long of a wait for my food.
I have tried the Falafel & Gyro plates, and I like the Gyro the best. It’s my regular order when I go to Tigris now. The portions are quite large, but I never feel too guilty after eating here since everything is made fresh.
Like other reviews, my only complaint would be that it is fairly expensive for a quick, casual lunch place. My meal comes out to over $ 11 and its around $ 14 if I add a drink to it. However, price doesn’t discourage me from coming here fairly often with coworkers or friends.

It is definitely one of the best places for mediterian good in Kearny Mesa and also in whole San Diego. All food is always fresh, personell is super friendly and they serve you pretty fast.
Beer Tikka is their best meal. Also they have a special club card which gives you free drinks and meals.
While eating there customers can enjoy listening to good music

This place is always good. Chicken shawarma plate is legit. Great portion for great price. Usually only eat half and save the rest for later. Service is friendly and always appreciative of there their customers.
Tigris is in my regular rotation now. You should definitely try it if you’re in the neighborhood.

I’ve been meaning to come here for a while based on the positive reviews. I ordered a Tigris salad with chicken shawarma, no drink. It was a little expensive for my taste, $ 12 for my order.
The food came out quickly in a large plastic bowl and was piled high. The chicken shawarma was well seasoned but a little dry. The salad greens were fresh and they were extremely generous with the bleu cheese, dried cranberries and dressing. Overall the salad was a bit too sweet but it was still enjoyable and I felt virtuous having a large salad for lunch.
The ladies at the register are very friendly and this seems to be a family run establishment, so the vibe was warm. The space is open and they have quite a few tables which were all occupied during the lunch hour.
This has nothing to do with the restaurant but the parking lot can only be described as a cluster**** (vulgarity alert!) during lunchtime so beware.

Was in the area today. Grabbed a quick bite to eat here and ordered a gyro wrap and a drink. Total came out to around $ 10. For the amount I paid I got a huge portion of gyro meat into the pita bread wrap. I am definitely full to say the least. This is comparable to a Luna Grill restaurant IMO.

The gyro meat was sooo flavorful and delicious. I really only came for the gyros but the hummus is delicious too. The portions on those plates are huge so you’ll definitely have to take some home.
This isn’t advertised on their menu but you can even buy a pound of that delicious gyro meat to take home for only $ 9.67! Which is exactly what I did so I could enjoy that goodness over the weekend!
The restaurant itself is definitely more laid back than most but if you’re looking for amazing authentic Greek food, this is it!

Like most «Mediterranean» restaurants, expect to pay a little bit more for your meal if you get a plate. I’ve been here for lunch a couple times and it’s good but nothing special. The plate portions are nice but the «sandwich» (it’s actually a wrap) is a little smaller in size compared to other places. If you do plan on getting a wrap and you’re in the mood for beef, I’d recommend to get the beef kabob in your sandwich rather than the beef tikka. I got the beef tikka and although the big cubes of steak tasted great in the wrap, it was such a chore to try and bite through the pieces of meat. So get the beef kabob in a wrap!
Next up was the Cream Chop Plate at a whopping $ 11.95! For this price I expected this plate to be a culinary masterpiece… and ehhhhhhhhhh is all I have to say to that. The piece of chicken served was pretty big, but also thin and honestly just seemed like it came from the freezer section of Costco (which isn’t bad, but come on, I can bake this at home). The heaping amount of basmati style rice (saffron rice?) below the chicken was decent at best and seemed a little old… if you’ve ever had the rice at Grill House Café in Miramar (perfection) then you would expect much more from this place. The pita bread is more tortilla like and almost seemed like it wasn’t cooked all the way through (a little doughy)…but the hummus was great!
The last thing I want to mention is the salad… in my attempt to eat a healthy lunch on another day, I got the Mediterranean salad and added chicken shawerma. MASSIVE. They definitely load on the chicken so don’t feel bad about paying a little more to toss some protein on there. The salad was as plain as could be, with just tomatoes, onion and cucumber, but it’s the least expensive salad out of the bunch and if you’re trying to eat healthy you shouldn’t care haha.
I’ll probably eat here again for lunch but just for a wrap… if I want to spend $ 12 on a Mediterranean style plate I’ll go to Grill House Café.

Hmmm… perhaps I’m missing something, but I came here for dinner and got the gyro plate and didn’t think that the portion was huge at all. Compared to Santorini’s, I felt like the portion of gyro meat was on the small side. The most generous aspect of the rice.
I guess the highlight of the meal was the hummus. It was smooth and very flavorful. I only wish I had more pita bread to scoop it all up.
Here’s my little rant about this place…
It really irked me that the employee asked us if we wanted garlic sauce. We were like «sure!» Little did we know that she was going to charge us $ 0.50. (I know $ 0.50 is really no big deal.)
Maybe it’s just me, but if you’re going to ask a customer if they want something, you should be upfront and let them know that the cost will be added to the bill. Don’t make it sound like it’s complimentary! It’s just sneaky!

Dear Tigris, if a an item comes rolled in a flexible flour-​based flat bread and not stuck between two slices of much thicker bread, that item is a wrap not a sandwich. Please fix your menu now. I’ll wait.
Fortunately, I was in the mood for a wrap anyway, and, for the most part Tigris’s beef «sandwich» didn’t disappoint. Lebanese places in San Diego tend to favor pita over wraps so it’s nice to find a good wrap place, and Tigris is as good as any I’ve had in this city. Good sauce, good vegetable mix, tasty meat. The one downside was the size; I’m used to wraps a lot bigger that Tigris’s, which was closer to an egg roll than a burrito.
Summary: You can be the Tigris to my Euphrates any day.

I met with an old coworker here after work and was pleasantly surprise how good the food is here! I ordered the gyro/​chcken shawerma plate and she had the falafel plate. Both plates came out with a side of yellow basmati rice, pita bread, hummus, and tabouleh. It was a lot of food for a very reasonable price. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and visually appealing. If you like Mediterranean food, it’s a great place to check out because the service is fast and friendly and the portions are huge and inexpensive!
