Tierra Costa has a stand at the Point Loma Sunday market. We sampled his smoked marlin, came back at 2 pm and tried the fresh snapper ceviche and a marlin taco with housemade salsa. Unfortunately he ran out of baby octopus! He said he hopes to open a restaurant next spring either in Point Loma or downtown. Hope it happens. In the meantime it is go out of your way good!

I am a seafood lover to start. I hired tierracosta for my birthday because they title there site as exquisite ceviche catering. I not just loved their ceviche but all the other seafood dishes served by chef Juan Carlos. This guy knows his trade and honestly I have never had anything not even close to what I ate that day. I had the Pacific Trio, which is red snapper, shrimp and octopus ceviche. Totally awesome ceviche, also I had the red snapper sarandeado, and the beef ribs which were to die for as well. I don’t know what to think of this, totally blown away. Much better than expensive seafood restaurants in Down Town. Tierracosta took me to another world. They do only catering, I wish this guy opened a restaurant.
