I don’t know why people on Unilocal just love to complain about every and anything. You have to give a new business a chance especially when it has only been opened like 10 days. My wife and I went in to check out this very new place. We were informed that it was still soft opening and not everything was in place yet. We were told about how the place works and pricing right up front. The have a refrigerator full of several different types of milk and milk stout beers. They have 5 – 6 cookies on display that are bigger than your face and 6 beers on tap again all dark stouts. My wife opted for a Froot Loops Cereal Milk Shake and I opted for a Belching Beaver Milk Stout Ice Cream Float. Both were different and delicious. I read a few idiots on here complain about price, well they told us what the price was before we purchased it as I am sure they do with everyone else. So if you cant afford it or think it is too expensive, why not just walk away? Any way the items and customer service we received were great and it made for a nice after dinner snack. We will be back to try the Ice Cream Cookie sandwiches.

We were out exploring all the new places in North Park and stumbled across The Milk Bar. It’s a small store front off of 30th St however it entire vibe pulls it off. We enjoyed a couple of milk shakes(the best I’ve ever had) and a couple of sugar cookie ice cream cookies sandwiches. Great atmosphere and awesome customer service. I love the wall art, very Andy Warhol! When in North Park again and seeking an after dinner dessert or midday drink, we will enjoy again.

Had a cookies & cream milkshake here with a cookies & cream cookie and it was okay. I did feel though that they should have put some oreo cookies in the milkshake to give it some texture or a bit of a crunch rather than just having them at the top, but overall I feel it was a decent milkshake.

I lived in North Park for a long time before street car opened. Shortly after street car opened, they painted«the milk bar» logo next door. I was excited for this place to open. A year went by and it never opened. One time I when was eating at street car I asked one of the employees when the milk bar would open and they said to me «I have no idea» in a very rude tone… Finally The Milk Bar opened. I went in last weekend with some friends after a drink at the whistle stop in South Park. No one was working inside when we walked in. Then some blonde lady burst through the door and frantically yelled«can I help you» and it came off as if we were a burden to her. My friends and I had no idea what to order because we didn’t know what the milk bar really was… we just figured they’d have some good milk, maybe some milk stouts, etc. There is not one menu nor any price lists. Zero information. So, we started to ask the blonde lady questions. All of her answers were literally one word answers. She was very short with us. Her tone was rude. She didn’t explain anything. Moreover, she was condescending and impatient. We asked her if they had milkshakes because we saw a photo of one on social media and she said«yes, we have those but it costs $ 2 for ice cream». So we ordered a milkshake. She neglected to tell us there is a service fee for them to actually make the milkshake. WHAT A BUNCHOFBULLSHIT. You have a blender, you have milk, you have ice cream. Just mix it for no extra cost. We are paying $ 6.50 for an over rated milkshake… and you expect us to pay you an extra $ 1 to mix it. Either way… we still wanted to give the place a chance. So we ordered our over priced milkshake and a cookie. We walked into street car because the actual milk bar has no seating. What a joke. Well, we waited 20 minutes for our milkshake. No joke. We checked our receipt time stamp and then we checked the time on our phone. We finally asked someone where our shake was. The employee said«oh I’m sorry, it’s been back here. We forgot about you». WOW talk about terrible service. We paid them an extra service fee to mix milk and ice cream then FORGET it in the back so it can melt away. Overall this place FUCKINGSUCKS. The lady is complete bitch. I was totally disappointed. Places like this ruin North Park.

Simple storefront place. Simple Menu– Beer stouts on tap, flavored milks, cookies, ice cream sandwiches & milkshakes. DELICIOUS cookies & flavored milk! We tried the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, brown sugar vanilla milk & cookies and cream milk — nothing was disappointing! The guy working was very helpful & friendly. There was no listed menu or pricing, but he let us know what was available & how much it all cost. Plain milk would be a good option to add to the line up– Milk on tap would make this place unreal ;) But we would recommend this place to anyone & we’ll be back!

I just got a chance to try this place after much anticipation and sadly I have to say I was disappointed :(. After seeing the delicious photos online of their milkshakes, I was really excited to try! We came here on a Saturday night and the Milk Bar is on the side or Streetcar Merchants. There is no menu but there is a fridge of flavored milk bottles and beer. Since there was no menu and prices, I asked the cashier about the prices. The flavored milks are $ 4.50 each bottle. To make it into a smoothie is +1.50 and +$ 2.00 to add ice cream into that smoothie. To make it a smoothie with beer costs more and equals $ 10 ish total. We got the milkshake with an ice cream scoop without beer and the total was $ 8.00 so we had high expectations. That is twice the cost of a boba milk tea! The milkshake was not large and way wayyyyy too sweet. They used half the bottle of milk for the shake and I tried a sip of the remaining half of just the flavored milk in the bottle and it was wayyyyy too sweet also. We got the blueberry milk which the cashier recommended and said it was their number one seller recently and I didn’t think it was good, not to mention be worth $ 8. I am very sad to say I didn’t like this place and wouldn’t recommend it. I will not be back, sorry Milk Bar! It may be okay at about $ 4 or $ 5 a smoothie but $ 8 is wayyyyy too much and the smoothie itself wasn’t particularly good. I hope you can improve!

I saw this place on Instagram & was excited to check it out. I wanted so much to love this place because cookies & milkshakes are my thing! There was no one manning this store. I strolled in after a girl & she went to the connecting store, Streetcar Merchants, to ask for help. The worker came in, helped her, & left. He did not even acknowledge me when he saw that I was waiting in line. I went next door & asked for help, unfortunately from the same guy who was helping me before at Streetcar Merchants(because he had given me horrible service). Since it was a brand new store, I thought he would give me a spiel about their goods & what they do, but he was antsy to leave. I just ordered a cookie & a milk & was bummed that I did not find until after I left, that they can create your milk into a shake. But he did not tell me of what they do… Way to sell your new store… Bacon Oatmeal Cookie — Huge cookie! Very crispy, hard, & tasted overcooked. Strawberry Almond Milk — Very delicious & smooth. However, again, I was very bummed that I was not able to try this as a shake because the worker did not tell me.

This place is so bomb. I was bummed they didn’t have Frosted Flakes milk out that day, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch was the next best thing! The actual milk itself isn’t too sweet at all, but still makes a delicious treat. However the brown sugar vanilla is definitely sweet(I mean the name has brown sugar in it). I’m definitely going to be coming back to try all their delicious flavors! Service was great and the staff is super friendly!

Got the coffee milk and also a sprinkle cookie. Definitely didn’t meet up to the hype. Checked it out because of Instagram but really it’s not worth the $ 7.50 for a not so great big cookie and some alright flavored milk. My friend tried the fruity pepples and she said she thought it would have tasted sweet just like fruity pepples but she was disgusted by it. She took one sip and threw it away lol flavored milk cost her $ 5.

Connected to streetcar merchants, they’re still very new and having a soft opening at this time… They have a few different kinds of cookies on display, and they are huge. They also have a fridge display with flavored milk(strawberry almond, PB and chocolate, fruit loops, etc)… We were told they can make the milk into shakes, but we tasted the Oreo flavor just the way it was. Has just a slight creamy taste, but actually wasn’t too heavy or thick. I think it’s nonfat milk? But I could be wrong. The owners were very friendly and kind. Cookies! Their chocolate crinkle cookie was chewy and soft, and nice chocolate flavor, not too sweet. The chocolate chip pecan cookie is definitely Rich. Slight crunchy edges but still totally soft and chewy. Large chocolate pieces and whole pecans, this is definitely one of the sweeter cookies. So yum! Cookies $ 3 Milk $ 4.5 They have milk based beer too, what?! Pretty cool place to get your sweet fix when in North park. There’s a small counter that line the Window, otherwise it’s a place to grab and go.

This place shares a space with Street Car Merchants. It’s brand new, so when we walked in there wasn’t a menu to be seen(maybe it’s yet to be installed)? Cookies are out on display and all the milk options are in a fridge along the wall. We had the cookies and cream cookie and fruity pebbles milkshake. The cookie was ok… not nearly as good as what I expected, but the milkshake was damn good. It wasn’t overly sweet and the taste was true to its description. It was ready rather quickly, but you don’t have the option to get your drink to go– hopefully that changes. I wasn’t expecting this, but they only use about half of the bottle of milk, so you get to enjoy that in addition to your milkshake. Can’t wait to try the brown sugar Carmel milkshake next!
