The Marquee

Cool Golden Hill artist venue built out of an old church. Went on a Tuesday night to see a good friend play a featured slot on an open mic night. There was a lot of talent that performed from singer/​songwriter types to freestyle rap to spoken word poets. The fact that it used to be a church gave the room great acoustics, the place had great seating with lots of white leather couches and chairs facing the stage. Lots of local art on the walls as well. The only downside is that they don’t have a liquor license or a food license so don’t go hungry or thirsty. Definitely worth checking out though.
