The Fitness Armory

Great experience with this company. I’d been browsing equipment for a while and came upon a sale they were having. I was going to miss it, so I sent an e-​mail with my wish list pretty late at night thinking I might get a reply the next day. I received an immediate reply to my surprise. The staff communicated with me throughout (very rare these days), got me an incredible price on all my equipment, and was always friendly & accommodating. Also, all the gear is the highest quality. I did receive a wrong piece of equipment, but was taken care of immediately. I will be coming back in the future to finish my home gym. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The quality, price, and service can’t be beat.

It’s great that there’s a place like this in San Diego. Their prices are great but can also be a little inconsistent. I got three different prices (maybe even 4) from their website, from emailing them, and when I came in person to the store. They also don’t label any prices in store, so when I asked how much another piece of equipment was the employee gave me a price that was $ 200 off what their website said. Also the customer service was also inconsistent from employee to employee, from really enthusiastic and great over email to almost a little annoyed when I came in person.
So great idea and concept, but some little issues here and there to fix before this place becomes a staple for me when outfitting my home gym.

The Customer service is great. They give military discounts. The gear is high quality. I recently purchased my free standing squat rack here. The squat rack construction is light weight, yet extremely strong and stable. I would recommend this place to any serious fitness enthusiast.

After posting my original review, the owner reached out and offered his apologies. I can appreciate what he is doing in running a small business. His employment of military personnel transitioning out is something near and dear to me since I am in that transition myself. If I were staying in the area, I would return.

Our new climbing gym needed some equipment and the guys at the Fitness Armory were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. The products («cross fit» style rack, attachments and accessories were great quality, easy to assemble and reasonably priced. However the BIG thing that puts them over the top is when several items didn’t ship they personally drove them to our gym on a Saturday morning before our grand opening! Just so you know we are 300 miles away from the shop so this is not a small thing.
I would highly recommend Fitness Armory to anyone.

I was looking for some good quality kettle bells online, and decided to check Craig’s List for some used ones. I came across an ad posted by the Fitness Armory for new kettle bells at $ 1.39/lb. This was a MUCH better price than anything I found online, used or new. Many of the kettle bells I found online were more than $ 2.00/lb.
I checked out their website and was blown away by their selection. I sent an email asking for a price quote on three kettle bells, and got a response from the owner, David, about 30 minutes later (and this was on a Sunday night)! He kindly told gave me a great quote on the kettle bells and told me that I could swing by their warehouse any time to pick them up if I was local. As an aside, even if you’re not local, they do ship orders as well.
I went the next morning to go pick up the kettle bells and also ended up getting an ab mat while I was there. Their warehouse was huge and full of difficult great equipment, and all of their prices seemed to be really competitive and reasonable. The staff was really friendly and helpful, too. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been here the times and the staff is laid back as well as knowledgeable.
You can go and test the gear you’re thinking about purchasing to get a feel for it.
They’re in the cut but it’s worth it.
I’ll definitely be back as my home set-​up expands.

David and Dylan have been absolutely outstanding from the start. They helped consult us in order to outfit our CrossFit box (CrossFit Next Wave) in San Diego. Their team installed a beautiful 40 ft rig and their delivery was timely and impressive. We had several options to go with but we are thrilled we opted for The Fitness Armory. The Fitness Armory will continue to be our go-​to for all of our box needs!

Very reasonably priced, even compared to online stores. I recommend texting to double check that they have what you are looking for, they got back to me in a minute or two. Very quick. Would definitely give these guys my business again.

I like to pick up a few spare pieces of equipment for the house to suppliment when I can’t get to Crossfit. A kettlebell here, a jump rope there.
Today I came in for a band for working on mobility (google Kstar), and they had quite a few to choose from and solid quality.
I think these guys are great, and they quickly txted me to let me know that what I wanted was in stock before I came in. Super nice when I went in and ended up less expensive than on Amazon.
I’ll happily be back… now if I can just find a place at the house for the pull-​up rig.

Small, but good fitness gear company. Similar to Rogue or GetRXd. The warehouse is pretty big to hold and showcase their rigs and other products. Offers to price match anything they have against their competitors. Bought a 4×6 rubber gym mat for my home made deadlift platform for a good price. Hard to find stall mats in and around So Cal. Will look into buying other things in the near future.
Since it’s sort of low key, calling/​texting before visiting is a good idea to ensure someones there and the product you’re looking for is in stock.

No frills warehouse where you can get your serious fitness gear. They didn’t have one of the items I was looking for, but I was still satisfied. Just make sure you text the guys to confirm their hours. I saw some other stuff I wanted in there, but those will have to wait. Overall, the price I paid was fair and I think cheaper than other places like Big 5 or Sports Authority. They were actually cheaper than online stores as well on this one particular item.
