I am so thankful to have been referred to Jenny Palmiotto for RDI. I have been in the RDI program with Jenny since October of 2011. I have twins with Autism that have had had many different therapies for the past 5 years and this is a person that truly understands their individual needs. Not an easy task as the Autism manifested very differently in each, they have almost opposite issues. She was able to in just two visits understand them and our family dynamic. I felt an immediate connection with her. She is one of the people that truly understands our kiddos on the Spectrum. Her assistance in the home and at school have made our lives less chaotic. Her approach makes sense and is not fake and she takes the time to undersand the family dynamic. She listens to issues that arise and assists in implementing strategies. My family would not be in such a good place without her. I have also worked with Julie Dennis and she is also someone that I was able to connect with. It is important that you are able to connect with therapists in your life. This has not always been the case in the past with other therapists so I am very appreciative to have had the opportunity to meet Jenny and Julie.

I’ve got only good things to say about Jenny Palmiotto. She was instrumental in helping my family learn to overcome challenges that Asperger Syndrome and Autism presented in raising two children on the spectrum and encouraging new experiences that created a closer bond and understanding between family members and friend relationships. My older boy benefited greatly from Jenny’s down to earth, fun loving approach combined with her expert skill at implementing RDI. Jenny handled the times when he struggled to cooperate like a champion and she encouraged me to be patient when his behaviors were challenging to me. She taught me to accept these challenges as an opportunity to guide my son. Through work in dyads with another teen, my son grew leaps and bounds and although we no longer live in San Diego, he maintains a rich friendship with his dyad partner. Jenny also intervened on behalf of my youngest son who is more challenged by his multiple disabilities, which include autism. Jenny’s positive attitude and willingness to meet us where we were helped me to believe in what I was doing for my son, while others were unable to support us. Ultimately, those experiences in building relationships helped my youngest to be able to go outside himself and take risks which lead to friendships and amazing life experiences. This is incredibly rewarding as this was a child whose Developmental Pediatrician advised should be institutionalized when he was two years old. In the fall of 2012, he will go to college at a major University in the Midwest. I am grateful to Jenny for all of the hard work and encouragement she put into my family. Our lives are markedly improved from her intervention. She’ll never really know how much we cherish what she gave to us so freely. Thank you for everything!
