Not impressed. Although I don’t usually shop here for candy, I thought it’d be nice if I bring some home. I didn’t buy anything. Why? My 15yrs in retail made me extremely picky about customer service. I usually decide to shop based on customer service. Well, I walk in. A lady that could possibly be a manager, was on the phone. Talking somebody about her mom. It was clear it was a personal call. I was there for aprox. 5 minutes. No acknowledgement from her ATALL! Not a «hello!», not a «I’ll be right with you». Nothing! I wasn’t going to spend $ 13+ dollars on a pound of candy at a store where customers aren’t attended. So I decided to get my sweets at Sloans.

I’m a big fan of the pink sour belts, sour patch watermelon, the blue sharks & green frogs. I’m sad the blue raspberry soda bottle gummies are discontinued ;(it was so gooooood please bring them back!

I love coming in and choosing just what I want. Don’t have to worry about throwing away flavored I don’t like. I am in love with the watermelon slice and belt along with the peanut butter cups. Charlene is one of the most kind and helpful employees I have ever met.

I love their sour candies! My older sister used to treat my younger sister and I when we were younger to 5 pounds of candies each! I always got the sour stuff– my favorites were the belts. I also like some of their gummies and other fruity stuff! I don’t know why the chocolate stuff didn’t appeal to me… today they offered me a free sample and I chose the gummy brain! The girl was like you’re an inner zombie lol! Don’t forget to ask for a punch card!

Cute little candy store, full of sugary memories! It’s expensive, but lost candy stores are. The cashier was adorably friendly to my daughter. I wish I had gotten her name! It was the 4th of July and she was cheery as can be!

Sugar(and sugar-free) heaven. This store makes me giddy as I anticipate what kind of junk and processed sugar I’ll be consuming upon exit. It’s this store that gives me a reason to run as much as I do… sugar is a necessity to me — like water!

Excellent service! I needed to order 20lbs of M&M’s for my sister’s wedding and chose to try to get them locally so I don’t have to deal with shipping them in the hot sun. I called SF in UTC and the assistant manager, Haley(sp?) answered. She was very willing to accommodate my order and immediately phoned her boss to get that order in their system. Communication the entire time was excellent! I received a call yesterday from Andrea, letting me know my M&M’s were ready, and went in today to pick them up. I think it was Andrea there today, and she promptly brought them out and gave me a great discount for ordering a bulk amount. I did the calculations on what I would have spent ordering online + shipping costs and I actually SAVED money! I was thrilled! But even aside from the savings, the customer service was way above par. I really appreciated it and definitely recommend them.

LOVE my sugar fix! I always stop in for the grapefruit slices and razzles! Sure it’s expensive for candy, but where else can you pick and choose bulk sweets! I hate buying pre-packaged candies that include flavors that I just toss out. It’s worth it to just be able to pick and choose what I want.

Wow! This place is great … Well, for me. Fresh candy! And it is a little expensive if you fill up the whole bag. You can’t go here everyday you bring your kids, but it is nice to stop for a little helping. My mom often came here with me if I need a reward. NICE!

I have always gone into the sweet factory for myself, my kids, my husband or someone else as a small special treat when we are at the mall for other things. However, the past two times I went specifically on a mission to get candy for my brother’s wedding reception candy buffet. I witnessed the most AWESOME customer service at this one! I wish I caught the two ladies names. But the first day, the woman who helped(she may have been the manager, I am not sure?) Was just so kind, accomodating and sweet! We ended up buying over $ 200 worth of candy(all in pink!). which means we were in there for AWHILE, especially because we picked through some of the bins to retreive pinks only… and the entire time, she stayed warm and friendly. I was in there with my 11 yr old and 3 yr old… and she still treated us like queens(some times I get the stink-eye bringing a toddler into stores like this). But this lady was just wonderful, helpful as ever. There was a guy there too that would come around and pick up pieces if I dropped them and I profously apologized and he never seemed to tire or get annoyed. I went on a Friday afternoon, around 1pm I believe. Then, a few days later I realized I needed a little more to top my jars off. At first I was disapointed to see the last team was not working this day. I went on a Wednesday around 7pm I believe this time. And I was AMAZED that this lady was just as wonderful!!! Talk about a great team here!!! I believe the woman on this shift was the Asst. Manager– but again, I wish I caught her name. She was so kind, and helpful. We spoke and exchanged stories for the moments when I was the only customer in the store and when my hands were full, she would run over and hold the bin for me, etc. The staff there is well over FIVESTARS!!! The candy is great there of course, no complaints there. But if you are looking for yummy candy and a friendly helpful atmosphere which is hard to find these days… go to the La Jolla UTC Sweet Factory!

I have the biggest sweet tooth and I always have to get something from Sweet Factory when I’m at the mall. It is pretty expensive so I have to make sure to not go too crazy. It’s so easy to spend so much here! There is so much to choose from. I’m a big fan of the sour belts, grapefruit slices, and chocolate covered gummy bears.

As a diabetic, my consumption of sweets is obviously limited. Imagine my surprise, though, when I saw that this Sweet Factory location has a selection of sugar-free chocolates! No sugar-free Jelly Belly jelly beans(or regular ones, for that matter), and the store is a bit on the small side — I felt weird walking around the sales table in the middle to check out the rest of the store’s offerings.

A great place, but it is expensive. I love the chocolate haystacks and the jordan almonds. This place is a paradise for the sweet tooth!
