Love this place! Great layaway plans. Friendly staff. Always very welcoming. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because it can sometimes be a little expensive. Other than that, all is good!

I have never been to a pawn shop before. My friend suggested that I go to Super Pawn in PB. Stan helped me. I got what I needed. His service is great.

I went in to Superpawn with a friend and got a good deal on an Xbox so I thought why not trying selling some stuff there. Terrible Idea. My friend was moving away for college and had some stuff he couldn’t take with him, so I suggested to go to this place and try to make some cash. I also brought my mandolin to sell because I never play it. So we get there about 45 mins before they close and wait in line. We waited the whole 40 mins and when it was out turn, they tried to tell us that they were closed. We told them that we had waited 45 mins, so they could at least look at our stuff. They told my friend that his stuff(a archery bow, a fantasy dagger worth 100 bucks, and a used guitar) was worthless. Really? You could tell after a glance? When it came to my mandolin, which was $ 200 when I bought it, I was willing to take 80 since it had been a few years. The dude offered me 20BUCKS!!! I asked why so low since I paid $ 200 for it and he just told me «Thats the way it is». When I said $ 50, he basically told me No and to get out since they were closed and escorted us to the door. Overall. Jackass dude who did not know what he was talking about, and poor service. Go to another place.

Super Pawn buys stolen guitars. They bought at least three instruments from a burglar. After they purchased them, Detective Corrine Queen called me and said she had located my stolen guitars(one bass, two electric guitars). I met her in front of Super Pawn in Pacific Beach and gave her a complete description of my instruments. We walked inside and there they were. About two weeks before this day in April, 2011, I had stopped by this pawn shop. I gave them a complete description of my instruments. They said they hadn’t seen them and they’d call me if they ever did. They didn’t. I purchased a Yamaha FD01 acoustic guitar(Serial number QJN21033S) from these guys before my guitars were recovered. I wish I didn’t because it could have been stolen. Want to know what’s even worse? I still have one guitar missing and it’s an acoustic guitar. I suspect(but I do not know for sure) that they bought my stolen, black, Ibanez acoustic-electric cutaway guitar(Serial number AE18-BK-OP-02) and hid it from me and the detective because they knew that I already purchased an acoustic guitar from them and I’d want to return it. These people are crooks and they should go to jail for their treachery. Do not buy anything from them. They definitely buy stolen instruments because they bought mine. One more thing. Super Pawn made me pay the $ 130 they paid the burglar in order to get my three instruments back.

This isnt your average run of the mill pawnshop that sells junk. Their things are really top notch. Theyve got a huge selection of guitars, jewelry, watches, computers, stereos, tools, etc etc etc. Do yourself a favor and talk to Angie! She’s one of the nicest agents anywhere and she always helps us out when we want to pawn something for cash or when we want to buy something. I bought a super nice hand-made acoutstic spanish guitar there for a song. I still use it to this day.
