Excellent Service., the park across the street is incredible as well. There is a lot of room to play, and camp out

If I could give less than one star I would. There were 2 people working and if either of the 2 knew any pace faster than shuffle I would be amazed. There was only 1 person in front of us and it took 25 minutes for us to get out of there with only a six inch and a foot long. Vero(I’m assuming her name was Veronica from what I remember) and the other female working with her paid no attention to us and forgot a sandwich in the toaster and it was extremely burnt and still tried to feed it to us! We were in a hurry as mentioned to them considering the amount of time they were already taking so we had no time to wait for them on another. And from reading previous reviews our sandwiches weren’t the first victims of their carelessness and laxity. I’ve worked at subway before and even during a rush never did we have complaints or treat people like they did to us. I know the job and they are not doing it.

I’ve been to this location numerous times as I live right there, it’s my second time at this store this week if we’re being honest. Traditionally there is one employee(occasionally 2) behind the counter and although during peak busy times it can be stressful and overwhelming for this lonely person they do their best to put a smile on their face and crank out those subs. This morning I had a vastly different experience IN A COMPLETELYEMPTYSTORE. The woman behind the counter was immediately aggressive in her response to my seemingly innocent inquiry about their breakfast combinations. Throughout the entire process of ordering/making 2 different subs she was short in temper and patience all while treating me as though I had never ordered at a Subway before. Never once did I break my smile or ask if she was having a bad day(nobody likes that question) but the entire time I was wondering what I or anyone else had done to cause her absolutely FOULATTITUDE. Her attitude was turned up to the maximum level and she was the biggest Subway know it all I’ve ever come across so maybe she is deserving of being on this high horse? At any rate short of naming this woman, management should take note of the fact that some people just aren’t good with people and should be scheduled at a position according to their strengths. Customer service is not one of hers.

Been to many subways and this location seems to be poorly managed. There was only one employee(Luz) working as fast and hard as she could. Although she was slammed with customers and working all alone. She managed to keep a smile on her face and trying to keep her customers happy. The overall service was slow. I would blame management not the ONE employee for the slow service. . I give Luz an «A» and management a «D».

In a line of four people… It took 20 minutes before I could order and was Ina rush to get a video shot before the sun went down. After I finally got to order, one of the employees«Vero» left the sandwich in the toaster for too long and burnt my sandwich to a crisp… The cheese was black. And the other employee moved hero the register and asked if We would like a different sandwich, I replied yes, that I didn’t want a burnt sandwich after waiting 20 minutes to order… Tiffany rolled her eyes as if it would be too difficult to create another, and then blamed it on the other employee I front of everyone. She seemed to be the one in charge since there was nobody else there that looked older than 15. This place had flies landing on the food, horrible customer service, and the wait time was incredible… It’s such a great location for business too!

Bad line w/only 2 ppl working. Im guessing they are short-staffed. Great location but pretty much guaranteed to keep you waiting. This area of town is in bad need of more restaurants and drive-thru’s.

It’s a subway… Healthy, fresh food at reasonable prices. This location is great… Slightly off the beaten path but convenient to the beach and away from tourist prices. As always, depends on who your sandwich artist is … Mine made a good breakfast sandwich just not very friendly… Probably too cool… It’s strange to imagine breakfast at subway but try it… Surprisingly good. You can choose egg whites or with yolk.

This is the worst subway in San Diego. If you like waiting an extraordinary amount of time, this is the place for you. It’s because they are understaffed and ill prepared.

I have never been to a subway that has no line and has been as slow as these 2 workers are right now. No name tag so I can’t give the names but it’s the Hispanic female and a black man. If you’re in a hurry don’t come in when they’re working.

As an avid Subway lover, I have maybe been to 40 Subways. This is by FAR the worst one. This Subway is the definition of underachieving. Parking: No. You have to pay, or find street parking(difficult) Food: Awful. I got sick from my tuna sub last time. I can order a sandwich here with the exact requests as I would make at another subway, and the sub here will be significantly worse. I have never left here happy. Staff: Rude. A bunch of young kids who don’t give a f*** about anything. I don’t won’t to have to stare at those droopy plugs the one sandwich«artist» has either. I love subway. I go there 2 – 3 times a week. I live TWOBLOCKS from this Subway, and absolutely refuse to go here anymore. That should say enough. It’s a shame that such a great location in the hub of Mission Beach is wasted on this disgrace.

Can you really give any subway more than 3 stars? I only eat at subway when I have no other choice. BUT in this case, the staff was amazing. Since I don’t eat at subway, almost ever, I did not know squat about their deals… they pointed me to a good breakfast deal and saved me a bunch of $ when feeding 4 people. And their bfast flatbreads are actually pretty good too

Perhaps the nicest looking subway you’ll ever step foot in PROs: — Recently renovated — Plenty of seating — Outdoor seating w/view of Mission Beach Park /Bonita Cove — LCD flatpanel TV inside(we’re talking subway folks) — Restrooms(PB Subway does not) — Friendly Service — Off street parking(As others have mentioned, it costs $ 1. I challenge you to find another Mission Beach restaurant that has off street parking for less? Even better — go green — Hop on your bike. CONs The fact you haven’t yet been

Dinner at the Mission Beach Subway? Great choice if you want hard crunchy bread, no parking(unless you pay!!!), and poor service. I got a footlong Subway Club and I could tell from the way the bread crumbled when the employee cut it that it was a stale loaf. The bread broke apart all over the place. For as proud as Subway is about their bread, why do I have to have a stale loaf? Fail. And the night time service here was… what’s «awful» in Portuguese? I’m sure the two buddies working here are nice guys blah blah… But they were«Terrível» Subway employees. We walked in and one was helping the customer in front of us. Fair enough. What was the second employee doing at the counter? Helping us? No. His homework. Makes perfect sense. When we did get help, I asked for my sub to be «lightly» toasted. Said it twice actually. «Lightly.» My bad. So after 25 seconds in the nuclear toaster, it came out crispy and black around the edges. Success, if I’d asked for it to be «heavily» toasted. Language barrier or they just didn’t listen? Weak either way. Will I be back? The $ 5 footlong deal is like a siren call and the Mission Beach Subway is the closest to me. So yes, I’ll be back. But I’ll also be back with 1-star expectations.

I came back to this Subway after hitting it up once or twice last November. The place has been completely remodeled on the inside, including the way the sandwich counter faces — a bit shorter, a bit nicer… but… 1. sandwich artists seemed a bit slower than usual for subway. when there’s a decal saying what«the Works» is(lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, etc but not jalapenos or banana peppers, don’t try to put banana peppers on my sandwich!) 2. the parking lot immediately to the west of it(really the only place to park) now charges for parking. today when we were there, we spotted the signs«Free for subway customers» along the wall, but when we pulled in. they really said«Not Free for Subway customers» and there was a pay station, and a dude with a ticket pad. As we were going to pay, another guy who had just gone into subway had just received a ticket, and came out to confront the ticket guy, who backed off. But then two older men from the parking company,(and possibly had just installed the signs) came over and yelled at the fee violator(in spanish then in english) and my friends and i were sure a fight was coming on. the older guy was carrying a sign frame or some such, but the young man with the ticket probably could have taken him. but alas no fight. so we went into Subway. $ 5 footlong + parking = $ 6 dollar footlong. boo!

This place needs new management, I live right near this place, Every time i go in here the service is bad, There always out of something here, Last time it was meatballs .The time before no wheat bread, no cookies, Out of chips(this is unacceptable). The workers are rude talking in Spanish to each other(I do feel bad for them, I rather not work here than make sandwiches all day) but this doesn’t mean they need to take it out on other people . I only go here since its in walking distance to my house and they still have $ 5 dollar foot longs . If you go here be ready for them to be out of stuff and rude service. I guess all subways are different. But this is the worst one i have been to.
