I’ve been in and out of this shop so many times through the years that I should have written a review sooner. It is a great place to find unique gifts for others as well as yourself. Also there’s that wonderful clothing line. Prices are great and then there are the really good markdowns at sale time so you’ll do your wallet a favor. And Maureen is as pleasant and gracious a shopkeeper as you’d ever hope to encounter. Those are just a few of the reasons this shop has endured so many years — long before South Park became trendy. It deserves 10 stars!

Went here for a friend’s exhibit. Adorable little studio with whimsical selection. Check it out if you are in the area!

My wife and I were enjoying our Sunday bike ride in this area and stumbled upon this store. A friendly lady named Susan was looking after things and was very helpful to my wife. There are a huge variety of inexpensive hand crafted items for sale that would interest almost anyone looking for a special last minute gift. My wife found a cute pair of earrings that took her fancy so she bought them. This is a terrific example of the unique vibe that South Park has.

This is the best little gift shop! I love the mixture of old and new and each time I visit, I find a treasure(or two or three or …) to take home. It’s a destination shopping spot each time I have out-of-town guests. There’s something for everyone.

One of those few shops that MADE South Park a cool place, rather than joining in after, I’ll give them big points for that. They were an inspiration to many. An eclectic mixture of vintage and craft items, the best part, in my opinion, being the classes they run and the art galley half of the store, a great contrast between the crowded accessory area and the minimalism of the galley. They feature non-snobby local artists, often with a folk emphasis. Worth a visit.

This is a great little gift shop. It’s a mix of hand made stuff(some by Maureen herself) and some vintage finds. I got a vintage Xmas ornament for 75 cents! What is this, 1962? I also scored a bitchin’ vintage Campfire Girls pillow for $ 20! score! Maureen is super nice and helpful too! I’m sure I’d frequent this shop if I was a local.

This little establishment is really a treasure of the community and makes me a proud southparkian =) Maureen runs the shop most of the time, and she’s polite, friendly, and talkative. She has a passion for what she does and true love for the items she sells. She has a multitude of items in her charming and captivating south park store. There’s t-shirts, aprons, jewelry, decorative pieces, her own art, local artist’s art, and simply a whole lot of things that you wont find anywhere else. There’s a lot to look at too, so just walking around and seeing everything is fun, and most likely you will want to buy something since there’s soooo many cute, funky, and unique things. I noticed that she has a strong inclination for Mexican art, as noted by the colorful pieces and frida kahlo displays around the place. Of course there’s much more than that, but being Mexican and loving Mexican art myself, I really noticed(and loved) that. She also offers several(and i mean SEVERAL) fun, interesting, and exciting art classes, by appointment only. Off the top of my head I can mention the mosaic class and another one where one makes a diary that can be used as a scrapbook or whatever else. I took the mosaic class myself. I’ve always wanted to make a mosaic item, so this piqued my interest. It was a really fun, postive, and rewarding experience. You do everything from breaking the tiles, finding a pattern and gluing them, to grouting and making sure the piece comes together perfectly. Maureen walks you through every step and the final product comes out like a true art piece meant to be displayed at one’s home and boast about doing with one’s own hands. Wether you’re looking for quirky, distinctive and captivating art for yourself or as a gift, or just wanting to get your artist on through one of the classes, studio maureen is an awesome little happy place to visit and see one of the most interesting businesses south park has to offer.

Thanks to an explosion at the office, I recently had a free weekday afternoon. That meant a chance to explore some of those little shops that intrigue me, but are closed by the time I get off of work. Studio Maureen is more than just a shop full of artsy clothes and décor, they also give classes on techniques like wire wrapping so you can make your own artsy things. It’s got a selection of t-shirts, tops and pants with unique hand done details, and the prices are reasonable. Tons of jewelry, hand made(and I think locally made as well) to ooh over. Prices from $ 30 – 60 for clothing, Jewelry from $ 50 – 50. You can find great gift ideas here, it’s all unique so it’s perfect for that person who has everything, but you may have a hard time giving it away!
