St David’s Episcopal Church

I pretty much came here as an outlet to express my frustration regarding their annual rummage sale.
They posted flyers all around town. They advertised a pancake breakfast and even an early preview night. NOWHERE IN THIS FLYER DID THEY STATE A $ 20 ENTRANCE FEE. They said «it’s for a good cause.» I’m sure it is. That’s why I was going to pay them money for the goods I was going to buy! To support the cause. I was completely blindsided by this outrageous «entrance fee.» We aren’t taking $ 1−2… with a $ 20 fee, they need to put this on the flyer! This was not right. People are taking their time to make arrangements, drive there to go shop, at to have to leave was just not right. This is the kind of «greed» that gives our churches such a bad label. It wasn’t enough that they were profiting off of all the donated stuff. Such a shame… Seems like the «good cause» was to fatten their wallets…
If people could afford to give away $ 20, they probably wouldn’t be at a rummage sale on a Friday night.
