Well, I have returned and given this place another shot. I will say that this time was a worse experience than before. The lady who performed my child’s haircut was extremely rough and unprofessional. Photos attached.

The wait time after schools get out can be a little while but you cannot deny the quality they put into their haircuts at Sportsclips. I had the stylist Olga and she did a fantastic job. The mvp haircut(haircut, steam towel, and massage chair) really is fantastic. The care she puts into her work is impressive. She even massaged my scalp as she shampooed my hair and got it pristinely clean. My only complaint is that it is a little shorter than I normally like it but still not too bad. It’ll grow back :) definitely get your haircut here!

DONOT let Debbie cut your hair. Horrible. Couldn’t even make a straight part. I couldn’t believe it. I had my hair done by someone else there and it was spot on but just don’t let Debbie touch your head.

Unprofessional and unfriendly. Been here three times, twice left after 30 minutes of being ignored and having other walkins served out of turn before me. Do yourself a favor and go to Great Clips next to Ralph’s instead.

It is my first visit here. My son got a haircut from Tatiana. She did a really great job, his hair was cut exactly as requested. I observed and listened to the other stylists, they were all very nice to the customers and I am impressed by the quality of haircuts coming out. Each stylist swept the floor, cleaned their area and equipment after each customer. We will be back!

Highly Unprofessional staff… I had to wait till ~hr for for my hair cut turn… people coming after me was taken before for cut… after complaining to Store Manger Christine, she hardly shows any concern. Stay Away… service is really bad. Store Manger hardly has any etiquette or professionalism.

My husband likes to get his hair cut about every every two weeks and he likes this location because it’s near by our house, grocery store, etc. However, the last few times we have gone in on a Sunday around 4 – 5 o’clock, the lady running the front desk is noticeably annoyed as people keep walking in and even got in a little argument with one of the other employees. The vibe they put off is unprofessional and unnecessary and makes people who walk in feel like idiots as they scold them for simply walking in. I am writing this review from Supercuts as we speak and we plan on driving a little bit further from now on for a normal and friendly haircut experience.

Great haircuts with hair wash and a scalp massage for about $ 20. Down to earth, unpretentious atmosphere.

We have been here numerous times and I felt that it’s time to finally give a review. :) My husband goes here and now my two sons 6 and 3. I do have to say that since this isn’t a «kid haircut» type salon the stylist are great with the kids. They have suckers which are a hit and have awesome«Spider man» gel that the boys look forward to after each cut. The service is A+. We are always greeted when we walk through the door. Sometimes it can be busier than other days, but that is a given at any haircut place. Kids and husband always leaving handsome! Happy customers

This was my first experience with this chain of haircut places, and I walked in thinking it was a sort of cool concept(man oriented, sports on TV, etc) and walked out feeling like I feel walking out of a gentleman’s club. The whole experience just felt a little seedy and strange. Upon arrival, sure enough there were sports on TV, but it was AUTORACING. which isn’t really a sport. I asked if they could maybe turn on the Padres game, but neither of the working girls, I mean girls working there seemed to know how to operate the remote. Eventually, I figured it out. Upon being offered the VIP cut,($ 25, not cheap), I was given a standard, quick haircut, then escorted to the VIP room, I mean, the very dark back room, where I was seated in a chair, and told to pull the lever like a la-z-boy chair. Upon reclining the chair, it begins to vibrate like one of those beds in a cheap motel(supposed to be relaxing, pleasant, sensual???), as the gal shampoos my hair and massages my scalp and temples with minimal enthusiasm. The product used smelled nice and it was a pleasant shampoo, other than the vibrating chair could have been done without. Then back to the front room where she finished me off with a 1 minute shoulder massage with one of those hand massage things you get at Brookstone for like 10 bucks. That’ll be $ 25, sir. I give it 2 stars because I like my haircut, it looks fine and the girl was nice, sorry I don’t recall her name. But I am just puzzled what they are going for. I mean Hooters serves OK wings and beer, but they are crowded with men for obvious reasons. Is this supposed to be the Hooters of haircut places? Or the Cheetah’s of haircut places? The whole dark room in back makes you wonder. Who knows… if I wasn’t an old married dude, and was a young, 20 something auto racing buff, maybe I’d have been more impressed.

I had my hair cut by Christine. She is the store manager in 4S. I was greeted by three stylist as I walked in. Monitors had March madness on. I got the MVP cut which comes with the head massage, hot face towel, wash and back and neck massage. Christine was nice and personable and gave me a great cut.

Actually I was in the store with my wife and kids, and saw the whole sordid thing. The employees must act a different way around the boss. When they’re around customers, they say words like«that sucks» and start gossiping. Regardless of the owner’s rebuttal, this place will only be family friendly when they fire the hair dressers they have, and start a fresh culture with hair dressers that have principles and values. I don’t like being harsh, just giving the reality. I don’t recommend coming here with kids.

I don’t think I will ever go here again. The ladies working here are rude. Don’t go here unless you want to be insulted.

The last thing I want to do, as much as I really want to sometimes, is squash the creativity of my 6 yr old. You see, he’s 6 — going on 16. When it comes to food, clothes, and hair, the kid knows what he wants. He used to hate getting his hair cut. So when I brought him into Sport Clips for the first time, it was because I knew they had sports on tv for him to zone out to. I didn’t realize how much he was going to live this place. He already has his favorite stylist, Bri(sp?). How could he not love her? Every other word is her calling him«handsome». Cute! I really like the girl too. Last few times I’d excuse myself, allowing them their creative space, wait in the waiting area and let Lil’Booger communicate to Bri exactly what he wants. Can’t be an easy thing to do, trying to interpret what a 6 yr old says he wants for his haircut. Bri, you’re awesome.

Great haircut, great experience. I went there yesterday for a haircut and got the full VIP treatment: cut, hot towel, scalp massage, neck and shoulder massage. I was greated as soon as I walked in the door and everyone inside was pleasant and seemed happy to see me. My stylist was Melony, and she did a great job. Add, she has a cute little Louisiana accent to booot. The shop atmosphere is great and everything is very clean and fresh. I think it’s a great value and I will definately be back.

I have to agre with Y.S. below. This is the only place to get your haircut in 4S. There is no turnover like other establishments in the area. It’s great to return and see the same friendly faces cut after cut! I am always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. The Christine(Store Manger) is not only a great stylist but she also take the time to educate and teach her employees new methods and techniques. It is the little things and make this place unique! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new(much needed change) from the other salons.

How does one rate a place where services weren’t actually rendered? feeling a bit perplexed here… Walked in looked for a sign in sheet, none. Waited to be greeted, never happened. Waited a little longer(15 minutes), still nothing, NADA! During my 15+ minutes of wait time, 2 people walked in and after not being greeted, walked out. I’m not sure what guy #3 did, since we took off. The topper for me was when the lady who worked there came strolling in with her food and went straight to the back without ever acknowledging me or my 3 kids or telling the other stylist that there were people waiting in the lobby. FAIL!

Wow, what a great and refreshing experience to walk into this sportclips. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, is great to be acknowledge so they know you are there. I signed in and waited not very long, a little bit under 5 mins, not bad for a walk in, right?. they have a giant flat screen(i think 46″ plasma/HDTV) ESPN looked great, got to watch 6 out of the top 10 plays of the week, when I heard my name called. My stylist was Christine, having been my first time in this sportclips, she gave me the low down on their specials. I told her I was in for a quick neck trim. after she explained to me the MVP, and been the end of the day, I decided to go for the scalp massage and back massage, that was a great choice. It was very relaxing! the tea tree shampoo felt great, and the warm towel made my end of the work day a great way to start my night. after the shampoo/massage, she applied a tea tree moisturizer and asked if I wanted any other product. she explained to me the products and asked if I needed to purchase any of them. my quick tips are be sure to fill out their after visit survey, to save $$ in future services and be sure to check in Unilocal to save $ 3 on their MVP. overall super easy, fast, great customer service, will def. come back. Thank you Christine! see you next time.
