Spirit Halloween Store

The store is in the same place this year so that is great. Looks like they’ve gone all out with the new set up. It looks AMAZING! The service is exceptional and they even know how to help you find all that you need to pull off the look your going for.

Great store overall. Pricey but that’s how all Halloween stores are. The staff here was really amazing when we were shopping for costumes for our children. Very friendly and upbeat. One even noticed there was a small area on the one my son wanted that was unraveling. Upon realizing it was the last in his size she offered us 20% off his costume. You won’t find that kind of service anywhere else when it comes to costumes.
My only complaint is that there aren’t enough costumes in stock for the sizes listed. My daughter picked out three costumes that they offer in her size but unfortunately, her size was no longer in stock. But we still found two great costumes! We will be coming back to this location next year. Thanks for the great service!

In my quest to find the perfect costume, I realized the local Spirit store in IB was no longer, so this was my next best option. I really liked the one in IB, and last year found everything I needed there! This place, not so much… sooo picked over it was ridiculous! Only a small section of women’s costumes, and most of the ones they had were only in L and XL sizes… I think there were maybe two total that would have fit me! And its still a week until Halloween!
Yeah, definitely not impressed and instead found what I was looking for at the nearby Party City.

I’ve been in here 3 times already this year, and it’s your standard Halloween store w/​costumes and decorations, but honestly, I didn’t really find what I was looking for there, and ended up going to my usual party store for my costumes and decorations. They’ve got a decent selection, though, so it’s worth checking out to see if they have what you need.

One of the coolest Halloween stores I’ve been in! LOTS to choose from, and the scary statues, etc make for a fun experience anyway. Like all Halloween stores, it is pretty pricey, but they offer a 10% military discount!

Lots of costumes to choose from but a bit too pricey on somethings. I would definitely recommend this place if you have no other options and you are in a hurry and need it now.

Lots of costumes and accessories for Halloween.
I was looking for carebear and I found one for $ 45, I didn’t want to buy the whole thing when all I needed was the hat for the ears. So I didn’t find what I exactly wanted but if you are looking for the whole outfit, you will find it here.

Only thing lacking is the customer service.

I never review places… But WOW! I am super impressed with the staff here. We came in for a costume that’s only available online (whoops). Ashley and Megan told us we could order it in store and get free shipping, so we went to use their computer. After the website started acting screwy, they got on the phone with customer service for us for 20 minutes to figure out the free shipping. They definitely went above and beyond and were so nice and helpful! If only I needed more than the 1 costume, I would do the rest of my Halloween shopping here!

I know it seems like it is still summer, but is it ever too early to start getting ready for Halloween? Probably not. That’s why it’s good that this Spirit Halloween store just opened last week in Pt. Loma Plaza shopping center, right next to the Pet Store. There is plenty of parking and the store does not feel confining like some of the previous Spirit stores around town have. There is a nice selection of costumes from cutesy to gory. My son’s best Halloween costume of all time – a bloody Freddy Krueger – was courtesy of Spirit a few years ago. Because of that, I have a soft spot in my heart for Spirit. My only reason to knock off 1 Unilocal STAR is because I think they should offer more discount days or early special pricing coupons like Party City does with their Halloween costumes in September. Otherwise, Spirit rocks!
