I’ve been on this ride several times so here are a few thoughts. — I get it, if it’s a hot summer day and you’re a tourist then by all means wait in line for an hour. Savvy park goers know that you and have plenty of thrills on Atlantis(shorter wait too) — Just buy a rain poncho(if you weren’t savvy enough to bring your own to the park). A few people on each raft will get 100% drenched. Most will get some degree of water exposure. — Their ponchos are $ 10 bucks, Poncho at Kohl’s is about $ 5, maybe sold at .99 cent city. — Water canons are a funny concept. People pay money to blast you as your raft floats by. Not fun if you want no part of it

I have never gotten so drenched on a rapids ride before in my life! The line moves slowly, but if you’re with friends, you can keep yourself entertained. Just giving you a warning. The ride really does a great job of twisting you around and throwing you all over the ‘river’ giving everyone a great chance to get soaked. I also enjoyed the areas where other guests can blast water at you which add to the surprise. At the end of the ride there is a large waterfall. Other parks would time it so the water turns off as you approach. Not Sea World. They throw you right under that so if you weren’t wet enough before, there’s a good chance you’re going to get absolutely soaked here. So my warning is: think about bringing a change of clothes for this ride. And make sure you pack away any electronics or anything you don’t want damaged because water is going to get EVERYWHERE!

— Locale Destination — It’s in SeaWorld, San Diego. It’s located in West side of the park, you’ll see it right after you passed the«Shamu stadium». Height restriction: You must be 48″ tall. Guests between 42″ and 48″ in height must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion. Wet warning: You’ll get soaked: bring(wear) swim suits, extra clothing, poncho, sandals, towel, vinyl bags. Use the locker to save your stuff from water. It’s not as same as «Grizzly River Run» at Disney’s CA Adventure as some Unilocalers claimed. Unlike the one by Disney, it’s DESIGNED to make you wet guaranteed: 1) 6 water cannons live on the main pathway between the Shipwreck Rapids entrance and the Cirque de la Mer stadium — they shoot at you literally and do it for a long while. 2) Not only that, people you don’t know there can shoot the water at you by PAYING for it(maybe 25 cents or 50 cents). The PAID strangers might make you wet. How clever it is. You might get soaked extra for it. 3) You also must go through the fall. You can’t avoid it. — Gluttony Expedition — The tube-style raft rides a winding river. The ride and/or the course itself is quite boring, slow and short. There’s no major drop, either. I think Disney one is a lot better overall. But this isn’t the point. It’s more like to be designed to make you wet, which is done throughout the SeaWorld. You enjoy getting soaking wet — that’s the fun part of coming to SeaWorld. — Conqueror’s Deduction — Don’t come if you don’t wanna get wet. You’ll get wet FORSURE. Come here if you wanna get wet! It doesn’t worth the waiting for too long — because you can get wet EVERYWHERE throughout the park if you want to ;p
