The fruit is always fresh and delicious. My favorites are the fruit salad and pico de gallo, depending on if I’m in a sweet or spicy mood. The only real downside to this place is parking.

The acai bowls are so good! They were a little on the sweeter side but, I’m not complaining. The price is really reasonable too.

Such a great little place in Normal Heights. As soon as you enter, you will see loads of fruit on display, fresh, not frozen(Compare to other juice/smoothie places, where fruit is nowhere to be seen or frozen; Hello Jamba and hipster ones somewhere else!). All juices/smoothies are great here. The torta de lomo is my favorite thing to get here to go with a somoothie, they are so yummy! probably because they use fresh ingredients and the rolls are of such good quality. I wish there were more places like Sr. Mangos elsewhere in SD.

This place is amazing! I love how everything is made in front of you so you know exactly what is going in what you order. They have a variety of items on their menu but what really captured my attention were their juices & acai bowls. I have yet to try their acai bowls but I ordered… JUICE: I built my own juice & it was delicious & affordable. I came here with two of my friends who also created their own juices, these were delicious as well! In my juice I had: Apple, mangos, oranges, beets, and parsley. You can add whatever the amount of fruits/veggies as you want with no extra charge. The large is $ 4.75 which is really affordable compared to most other places. CUSTOMERSERVICE: They are super friendly & funny. One of the workers forgot my friends juice but it was no problem because they are quick in making the juices & joked with us about why they forgot. Always love a place that offers good food with a side of humor.

I’ve ventured into fresh juices. I love choosing my own so I only have myself to blame if I don’t like it… This place has great prices and service was good. I have already been a couple of times. ;)

I like places that open early on the weekend. I have to work weekends and Señor Mango’s is a godsend. An early, semi-healthy, breakfast can be had. I have only tried their fruit salads and juices, fruit and yogurt cups and of course, their escamocha. All have been great and within the normal price range for fruit salads. They give lots of granola and coconut, too which is always a plus for me. I think their prices for fresh juice, under four bucks, is actually pretty good. The Vampiro is awesome. The guys inside are always so friendly and helpful. Nice place to get something quick and fresh in a land of trendy brunch.

This is a great place to grab a fresh smoothie or healthy bite to eat. It may not look like a 5-star on the outside but the customer service and quality of the food and drinks far exceeds it! This was the first time we went in but we will definitely be regulars. It was only $ 6 for two amazing smoothies!

My first time here at señor mangos and it is amazing. The wheatgrass shot was alright, super healthy tasting. I do t regret it at all, my favorite is the pico de gallo. The fruit has chile powder and lime on it giving it an awesome kick. The escamocha is just awesome! Must try!

Walked a mile from El Zarape to here… I was so excited! The fresh fruits did not disappoint, but I’m indifferent about the Escamocha. Anyhow, came here on a Saturday around 2PM, and this place was still hustling! You see a good variety of people – people who just finished working out, frequents who come and know what they want, and noobs like me. It took a while to look at the menu because I love fruit and just couldn’t decide which smoothie to get… but alas: We ordered: –1 large«papaya mango smoothie» //All smoothies are blended with 100% orange juice, ice and suagar. SUPERPAPAYA! I’ve been craving tropical fruits. This definitely tasted more like papaya-papaya than anything, but I loved how creamy and thick it is. –1 large escamocha //Lots of fruits for sure! The coconut flakes, almonds and whatnot on top reminds me of an acai bowl but with lots of fruit on the bottom(and sweet cream). To be honest, the first few teaspoons were delicious, but then it got a bit too sweet for me. The fruits are fresh for sure! But if you actually eat pieces individually, you realize the fruits are actually the non-sweeter pieces that they may have been cutting up(ie: the ends of papaya, tips of strawberries, etc). I would order a small to try it out if I could redecide… Pros: –Great service! Super friendly guys! And I love how they call each other señor! They are also super accommodating with any allergies you might have, so don’t be afraid to switch things in and out! –Nice ambiance. I love seeing the array of fruits and just hearing the blenders blend! SO EXCiTING! –Awesome quality of fruits(and menu)! Must I say more? Names are easy to understand(guess what’s in «papaya mango») and super easy to read menu with different categories! –Amazing prices! The Mom thought it was pricey, but having someone cut and blend the fresh fruits for you…(not like Jamba, where everything is frozen and they have panic attacks when you don’t want a frozen drink) my Dad was actually really excited! Cons: –Errr. Just maybe bad parking? Tips/Observations: –Terrible parking. It’s surrounded by residential area, so you’ll be lucky if you land somewhere close. –They are actually owned by the same owner as Lean’s Produce! Which sells all their torta bread and fresh fruits. Overall, I would definitely come here again! I am so excited to try the acai bowl next time!

Perfect place to come after hiking Cowles Mountain! I can’t get enough of their escamocha! It’s all my favorites in one cup: a variety of fruit, mixed with cream, coconut shavings, and chopped up almonds! I also love their ice cream watermelon. Usually watermelon can get really watery but the fact that they added the ice cream so it doesn’t get watered down was genius! I love it! Ordering was easy and getting the drink was quick! The store is pretty small but there is seating outside. They have a huge menu with a variety of different drinks and foods. I want to come back and try them all!

Smoothies, acai bowls, fruit bowls, and tortas. Yesterday, I visited Señor Mango for the first time with my two friends. It was so good, we came again today. Such a great find in North Park! To get here, all you need to do is jump onto the 805 South, Exit Adams Ave, keep straight at the stop sign, and turn right and the second stop sign. Easy peasy. Parking is limited, but people are always leaving. Their ice cream watermelon and vanilla mango smoothies are seriously delicious. The ice cream watermelon smoothie does the fresh watermelon justice. The vanilla mango tastes like a mango version of an orange julius. I personally thought the smoothies were too sweet with the additional honey, but that’s just personal preference. I got the escamocha, which is a cup of fresh fruit chopped into tiny pieces and sweet milk topped with coconut shreds and almonds. It was great, but I prefer a smoothie. Today, I tried their acai bowl. Sadly, not a fan. Sometimes, acai tastes like rotting watermelon and this was one of those times.

First of all parking is tough in this area so be prepared to walk a block or so. I came in a week day at about 3pm and it was pretty busy. It was a little wait due to a line ahead of me. I ordered a acai bowl for about 7 buck 8 with a tip. The bowl was pretty big. They serve the sorbet style acai roots. The bananas strawberries and granola all were delicious. Good stuff.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a long time now… Since they close so early, I haven’t had a chance to try the escamocha until a couple nights ago. I got the large size since I was sharing it with a friend and my order was ready in about a minute! An escamocha consists of chopped fruits served in a cup with sweet cream, almonds, and coconut. It was very refreshing, healthy, and delicious! If you’re looking for something else, they also offer acai bowls, natural juices, smoothies, fruit salads, and even tortas!

Acai bowls are on point ! everything is so fresh, and can’t beat the price. parking can be a pain though. Delicious and a huge menu to choose from. You can even make your own custom made juice. You have to try the tortas, acai bowl, fresas con crema, oreo shake, and escamocha. Really no matter what you get you will like ! The staff is friendly and always tries to get your order out in a timely matter.

I don’t care… I love it!!! I had the pleasure of tasting/sampling Señor Mango’s at CityBeat’s besties 2015 in October. They were so generous at that party with their famous Escamocha. This was the first and only time that I have ever tasted and had escamocha. You can say it is the one dessert that got away. However, not today… this morning, I ordered a #41 everything Torta(minus avocado). They put it on the side for Hubbs and wait for it … an escamocha! Reunited and it felt so good… Let’s talk about the #41 This torta comes with the works. As described on the online menu ****Mexican style sandwich made with mayo, mustard, american cheese, ripe tomatoes, avocado, white onion and fresh romaine lettuce, with jalapeño peppers on the side. Oven toasted!***** We ordered the one that ham, turkey and roast beef… because I like them meaty!!! The escamocha was big enough to share between Hubbs and me. On a Friday around 10ish it was a most filling breakfast/brunch. We found convenient parking and walked around Adams Avenue.

Possibly the biggest bowl for an acai bowl for the price, you’ll find around town. They make theirs true to what is used and nothing more: bananas and strawberries. But instead of granola, I’ve requested shreds of coconut. And quite delish at that. They get theirs from Acai Root which supposedly doesn’t add any sugar or additives. They offer wheat grass shots as well as a variety of other juices, smoothies all made out of fresh fruit. I haven’t tried the sandwiches, but those look to be very hearty. My only thing is that they don’t serve any raw vegetable juices. All their drinks are fruit based smoothies. So the acai and wheat grass have been the only things I’ve ever gotten. This spot reminds me more of those island, hole in the wall juice places. You walk up, give your order and just wait for it to be called out then off you go. There’s a few tables with plastic seats if you choose to stay. Quick, easy and no frills. For what they serve and for the value, the quality and taste is really all that matters here.

I just moved to this area and I was super excited to try this place out. I love a good green juice, so this place had great reviews. It didn’t disappoint either. The fact that I could go in, make my own juice blend, and not pay an arm & a leg made me happy. I got a standard green juice with some mango added into it. The low-key atmosphere was amazing as well. Everybody was super nice. I cannot wait to make this a staple in my weekly walks with the pup.

This place looked a little sketchy since it was hiding on a little street however it is yummy! I love acai bowls and the ones they serve here had a thicker consistency which I like. Basically it was like eating froyo. They give you a huge amount enough to share for two. Also, it is relatively cheap for an acai bowl! My boyfriend and I also ordered the peach vanilla ice cream smoothie. The place is adorned with fresh fruit so you could really taste it in their stuff.

Fresh fruit and great service, what’s not to love? Although they sell great tortas, I always visit for anything fruit based, Escamochas being my all time favorite. An Escamocha is a diced seasonal fruit salad mixed with crunchy chopped almonds, coconut shreds and a splash of sweet Mexican cream. So refreshing! Their frescas con crema is similar except it is all strawberries and granola is added but personally, I like the Escamocha because of its variety. * Clean store. * Exceptional service. * Parking can be difficult.

Picked up a escamocha. Ordering was easy, but waiting was not so much. There were at least 5 orders ahead of me. The kitchen seemed slow, even though there were 3 – 4 staff: some on the drinks, some on fruits, some on the tortas. One of the customer who 3 orders before me was waiting for a drink, and by the time I got my fruit salad, she still hasn’t gotten hers. Still, I waited a good 10 minutes. I would recommend don’t come in a hurry to leave. My fruit salad though, was refreshing and delicious: roasted coconut, almonds, mango, strawberry, watermelon. I had the other half the next day, still pretty good.

Sweet baby Jesus. I’ve found what I’ve been looking for! An amazing torta spot & agua fresca spot. I’ve had this ridiculous craving for a delicious sandwich for about 6 months now and all I can say is, yaaaaaass! I seldom give 5 stars. However, they deserve it. Inexpensive and everything is fresh. You can’t get better than that. Señor Mangos is that hole in the wall you wish you knew about long before it got all popular and super busy. So worth it. Mm mmmm… Ham torta — comes with avocado, american cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes. Mustard and mayo. I added extra cheese and lettuce. The bread is perfect. The ingredient placement — NOTICE that the ham is on BOTH sides. I’ve been doing it wrong my entire life. I’ve been enlightened. Same with turkey torta. Papaya agua fresca. Delicious!

I love their acai bowls. Good price, good quality and amount! It’s a pretty good substitute for a breakfast or lunch. I usually share it with my bf but I can still finish one myself. I usually get smoothies for my nephew and niece here. It’s made with fresh fruits and the wait is pretty quick. The place is pretty small but most people just order and go. There are some seating on the outside and inside. Small groups are good. You can always order ahead of time.

Okay, so I didn’t know what an acai bowl was before a couple of days ago. My friends were talking about trying acai bowls and they really liked it. They said that Señor Mango has a really good one, so I was walking back home and decided to stop by this little shop. This shop is pretty small with maybe 4 tables inside, but the people were nice. There are no prices listed on their big menu on the wall, so you should ask before ordering if you’re worried. I actually didn’t know how to pronounce acai and I was really nervous when ordering. Was it pronounced«ah-kai»? I’ve never heard of someone saying they had an «ah-kai» bowl before. I was panicking. Good thing there was someone in front of me in line. So I whipped out my phone and saw that it was pronounced«ah-sigh-ee». «I would like one ah-sgh-ee bowl please.» Embarrassment averted. Nailed it. Again, I’ve never had one of these before but I am a changed man. I heard it tasted like a froyo type of thing and it was a close comparison! It was smooth and thick like a froyo and it went AMAZINGLY with the toppings of granola, strawberries, coconut?, and bananas. Especially those bananas. Now I know what people are talking about for these bowls. Fantastic. If you have never tried an acai bowl before, Señor Mango is a great place to start. Man, it was good.

Best acai bowl I’ve had in San Diego so far! The acai was smooth, creamy, thick and wonderfully flavored. Almost had the texture of frozen yogurt. I suspect they blend honey into it, but who knows? Whatever they do, it works! For under $ 7, you get a big bowl of acai topped with strawberries, bananas, and granola. I figured I’d only eat half and save the rest for later, but it was so good I ended up eating the entire thing in one sitting! I will definitely be back for more.

Found this place purely by accident while doing a search. I saw«mango» in the name and that was enough for me. I am SO happy I found this place! Easy to find in a somewhat residential area and easy parking right on the street. This is a very small place with a few tables inside for dining and a couple of outside tables. I went in and it was like being back in Brazil. In Brazil they have«juice bars» with nothing but fresh fruit served up on a plate or in a drink. Nothing else added… just pure fruit. They do natural juices and again, it’s nothing but the pure juice from the fruit or vegetable. Smoothies, acai bowls, fruit salads and some sandwiches as well. We ordered up the Vanilla Mango smoothie which has real vanilla ice cream, the best mango ever and a hint of fresh peach. The color was this beautiful peach color and the taste was pure mango! I haven’t had a mango smoothie this good since my trip to Brazil. It was so fresh, cold and I could have one of these everyday. By the way, they have a display so you can see all the fresh fruits. They have gorgeous mangos, papayas, and other fruit. I can’t wait to go back and mix up the mango with some other fruits they have. Last, we got an acai bowl to go. The bowl is larger than most other places that are known for their acai bowls. They fill it up with a generous amount of fresh bananas, strawberries, and acai. The freshness of the acai bowl is just like that of the smoothie… the BEST! Finally, everything they use such as the bowl for the acai and the cup for the smoothie are all recyclable! This place is one of the greatest finds in San Diego and if you want to try the best fruit you have ever had and you can’t get to Brazil, then come here! Yes, it is that good! If I have one complaint it’s I wish there was one closer to my home! I hope the owners are reading this because you need to open one in North Coastal San Diego County… please.

YES. this place is awesome!!! i’ve run by it many times and finally tried it for the first time about three weeks ago. And have been there twice a week since. The vegetarian torta is delicious. The fruit plate with cottage cheese is to DIE for. Seriously! They cover it in honey, coconut, granola. Similar to an acai bowl. Speaking of, I don’t think their acai is blended which makes it thick and not icy(the worst!) — it’s comparable to some of the best Brazilian acai i’ve had. Best of all, they are quick, you get a ton of fruit, and they are super affordable!

Best acai bowls in SD fasho. A true«hole in the wall» establishment… but they sure do manage to whip up some delicious fruity concoctions. I come here specifically for their acai bowls because their acai is never watered down nor is it half melted when you get it. I’m not sure what they blend the acai with other than maybe some ice because it’s like an ice cream treat and is super frozen. Sooooo good. It’s pretty popular on the weekends so if you’re in a hurry call in your order ahead of time — way faster. Last thing, they also serve all sorts of smoothies, wheat grass, and sandwiches. I’ve never had the sammiches so good luck. *Street parking **Add honey to your bowls

My first Acai bowl! Ever. Yes ever. And I love it! The place doesn’t look like much on the outside or even in the inside for a matter of fact, but don’t be deceived. I believe this place is known for their fruit smoothies and acai bowl and they sure live up to that. I got my first acai bowl and I didn’t have a clue to what it’s supposed to taste like. All I know was señor mango was excellent. To me it tasted like yummy frozen yogurt with fruit and granola. We got this sweet breakfast acai bowl before a hike to Mt. Fortuna. It sure served us well especially after a late night of drinking, the acai bowl here will perk you up instantly. A little bit of water and some Advil with the acai bowl-that hang over will go away right away! Whatever it’s supposed to taste like, I have no objections to this acai bowl.
