Sandwich Stop Deli

I came here on my first day at a new job, a month ago. I hadn’t visited since, and today I forgot my lunch. So I walked in, and the guys and ladies greeted me like I was a regular, asked how my new job was going and offered me a cookie with my sandwich… I feel extremely lucky to have found this place that makes you feel welcome even when you’re not a regular customer. You rock! Keep doing what you’re doing!

Came here for late morning nourishment. Got an eye-​opener bagel sandwich, some refreshing coconut water and a piece of homemade on-​the-​house baklava. Very clean and great customer service. I was refreshed and well-​nourished :). Easy to miss location though: tucked away in an industrial area away from the street.

Been going here for a long time so I thought it was about to time to review. Awesome staff and great food. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like but my favs are the Gyro salad, salmon plate, and of course the best ACAI BOWL in San Diego!!! I’ve tried them all over SD and this one is my all time favorite!

Best pastrami sandwich i ever had. Great service. Plenty of parking. Very clean inside. Cant wait to eat there again.

I found this place on Unilocal because it is close to my school and I am so glad I did. They have a lot of health options and their food is always super fresh. As if the food isn’t just a reason to go, the staff is amazing! The guys here always deliver the best service and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. Well done guys and thank you!

Very fast customer service, food is great and a variety of drinks from sodas to organic drinks. Definitely a spot to come eat lunch at and relax. Owner and his team are easy going and welcoming!

This spot has been a regular for me and my lunch crew during the work week for some time now. Great sandwiches in addition to a nice selection of kettle chips and drinks as well. If you ever see the steak sandwich on special, don’t hesitate! It’s good. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick lunch with some good service.

This spot is fantastic. The owner and the guys that work there are always on point with their food and attitudes. I work in the same complex where the deli is and go there damn near every day. Never had a poor experience, food is always awesome and it’s always a welcome break from the chaos at work. I send coworkers and customers there all the time and they all agree that this deli is the shit. Keep it up guys, I’ll keep going there after our shop moves.

Very nice place! Very friendly service! A lot of options for sandwiches, salads and beverages! All kinds of kombuchas and Yerba mates! Nice touch! Also a lot of read options if you’re into bread ;-p The salads and sandwiches are made to order so you’re able to modify as you wish. It seemed like my balsamic dressing was house made, not from a bottle! I can’t say for sure, but YAY if so! I’ll be back =)

Nice little hidden gem we found while on vacation. prices are cheap and the sandwiches are huge! The owner and employees were extremely friendly and even gave my kids some free chocolate chip cookies :) I ordered the turkey supreme and wasn’t disappointed. the hubby ordered the roast beef sandwich and was very pleased great little tucked away sandwich shop

I’ve been coming to Sandwich Stop Deli for two years now and get the Torpedo Sub every time. The quality of customer service is out of this world.

I been here 3 times already in less than a few weeks, and I’m hooked! I want to try everything! Lol The food is so fresh tasting and feels like you got it from home. I’m not a fan of fast food and this place hits the spot. Not to mention the guys there are awesome! Great service and awesome food what more can you ask for! Thank you Sandwich Stop!

The owner is very friendly and always asks me how the solar business is going (I work for a Solar Company in an office nearby).
I rarely leave Unilocal reviews but I just love how he gives you a pickle and a cookie with your food.
For a cheap option I’ll get a cup of chili (with cheese and onions if you like) and it fills me up to get me through the day for under $ 4.

So here’s my 411 on this privately owned deli. Lloyd (owner) has a great establishment and I have enjoyed every meal he has ever put together for me
He has his bread delivered to him every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. How do I know this because I’ve dropped in on him at 7am and the «bun guys» are there delivering bread, rolls, croissants, and bagels. I love that he has every type of bread you can think of: jalapeño cheese, squaw, marble rye, sourdough, and if he doesn’t have what you like let him know he will order to have it for you the next time you stop by
What I love most about this deli is if it’s not on the menu and if Lloyd can make it for you he will. He goes above and beyond for his customers, even for a very picky eater like me.
Seriously he has «bagel and peanut butter» on his menu and when I asked if I could have a jalapeño cheese bagel with peanut butter and banana, he asked «do you want the bagel toasted?» That to me is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and why I continue on eating here

I was really craving an egg salad sandwich and unfortunately since my fav sandwich spot doesn’t offer one I decided to check Unilocal.This deli had some raving 5 star reviews about their egg salad so I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed they didn’t have squaw bread listed on their menu and it wasn’t until I had already chosen an alternative did I hear an order in squaw being called out over all the bread looks just like the loaves bought at the local market and doesn’t seem fresh. It would be much better toasted. (which is also not listed as an option) I like that they include a pickle spear but that doesn’t cover the lack of flavor in the sandwich over all. The atmosphere of the shop itself was kind of like a awkward rest stop or hospital lounge not really welcoming to eat in and the tables outside were not set up for usage. I was bummed the reviews didn’t match the product. The price, quality and lack of flavor is not worth the drive and I will be sticking to my fav sandwich shop right down the street which never disappoints. Honestly even after the second bite into the sandwich to give it another chance with zero flavor at all and awful bread even though I am famished I am tossing it.

This restaurant is the reason I like Unilocal so much. I found this deli while sitting in my car waiting for a friend and wanting to go somewhere new for lunch. They are not easy to find, they are hidden in a commercial mall in the back. I would have never found it.
The egg salad sandwich was very good, and my husband really enjoyed the salmon.

My husband and I have been going for years! The salmon on Wednesday’s is so fresh and cooked to perfection! The gyros are the best! Highly recommend… the owner’s are really friendly and personable.
