I have to say that when you look up a surf shop on Unilocal and then go to a Surf Company you would expect it to be a Surf Company. This shop is not a surf shop. The sell T-Shirts and sandals. I was looking to upgrade the fins on my board. The do not sell fins, they do not sell surfboards, they do not sell wetsuits. Lam appropriation of a culture to sell T-Shirts.

I stop in this shop quite often when I do my jog around Seaport Village along the bay. This is a really great store to get San Diego souvenirs that are not cheap and tacky — particularly t-shirts with the screenprinted words San Diego that you would actually want to wear. Living in San Diego I would even wear them because they have some cute beachy/surfer designs and don’t feel like souvenir shirts. They have a huge selection of men’s, but also a table of a dozen women’s shirts for around $ 20. There’s a great selection of women’s bikinis in the back and surfer brands like Roxy and O’Neill for dresses, shoes, etc. They have Vans for 40% off. There’s a(tiny) women’s sale rack. They have a bunch of cool island-inspired necklaces that I thought I could only get in Hawaii with shells, and dolphin shapes and wood and stuff. Customer service is great. On my last visit, the staff member called their sister store, Urban Beach House(located a short walk away in The Headquarters) to see if they had a size shirt they had sold out of, and she even handed me a coupon I could redeem for a free bracelet at Urban! It turned out to be a unique $ 2 bracelet made from recycled flip flops by women in Mali.

While in San Diego on business, I attempted to visit this store on two occasions. They advertise that they open at 9am. Each time that I arrived at 9am, I was rudely told that they are not open yet and to come back in 5 minutes. Each time I was on a tight schedule and hoped to squeeze some shopping in. However, I will never spend money at a place where you are treated like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. No wonder places like this are dying due to people like me who will now go online and make my purchase rather than endure the rudeness of lazy workers who can’t show up to work in time to get ready to open on time.

This great little surfwear store is packed full of well-priced clothes(and a few accessories), good for surfing, for the beach, or for invoking the attitude/feel/ethos [yes, I have a thesaurus beside me — why do you ask?] of either. The staff is friendly — different employees exhibit warmth or surliness, but the latter has no malice behind it.

I love this store! They have a wide variety of clothing for men and women. Every time I visit SD, this is def the place to stop by and do some shopping. Its located at the heart of Seaport Village. From what I remember they carry Roxy, O’ Neill, Rip Curl, and Freestyle watches! I actually bought my bf a watch here and I bought a few Roxy shirts. They only have one fitting room but look around while you wait!

Awesome store!!! They have great stuff there, and the employees are the nicest and most helpful people out of any store I’ve ever been to! They have some of the best surf brands there too! I left with a couple bags full of Element, O’Neil and Hurley tees & shorts. A pair of Sunuks and rainbows, and some Ray-Bans. I had gotten enough and it was time to leave. This was a great store and I know I’ll be back again! So if your in San Diego, head over to this store and I can guarantee you leaving happy!
