I booked the 3 hour tour and someone called the afternoon before to cancel because they didn’t have enough people to run the tour. I rescheduled for the following weekend. I broke my foot a few days before so I called to reschedule and the person on the phone put me on hold for 15 minutes then disconnected me. When I called back she said I could not reschedule and I would have to pay for the tour. I told her I gave more than a 24 hour notice which is more than they gave me when they canceled my tour the previous weekend. She did not care. Horrible customer service.

Called Tuesday at 2 pm to ask about the brewery tours, the girl was totally rude and she had an attitude!

The tour guide was great. The«brewery» tour was one brewery and two pizza restaurants. Also the timing was rushed to the point of people complaining about sweating and not having time to finish beers. We called their customer service line with a problem and the lady who answered was rude and it was like pulling teeth to have her help us. Over all I wouldn’t do it again based on low level of customer care.

My husband and I were given a Downtown walking tour as a gift and I am not even sure I want to use it anymore. We booked the tour for the 2pm start time and the day before get an email that the time has been changed to three hours earlier! My husband and I have a four month old and getting out of the house alone together takes a lot of planning. Needless to say it ruined our weekend. When I emailed to say we couldn’t make it the guy was super pushy about rescheduling. No apologies. Now I look at their page and see they have changed the time permanently to 11:30am and changed the 3rd stop on the«brewery tour» to a pizza place? And they don’t mention that you will be sampling beer at this pizza place? Ummm thinking they need to change the name from something other than brewery tour considering their is only one on the tour.

So far my experience with this company has not been good. I booked a tour 3 weeks in advance only to have them change the time of the tour by 4 hours two days before the tour date. I will update again after the tour occurs but to get anything better than the two stars they currently have they will need to blow my mind. I scheduled an entire day around this tour and now all the plans are messed up. When I called to get clarification on the sudden change they were completely unapologetic and offered no solutions to help.

If you want a nice trip to all the good SD brew tours this is the place to sign up w/. SD brew tours has great relations w/all the local brew spots. Mission was out of a couple of brews but because we were w/SD brew tours they threw in a few extra tasters! So awesome! We went to pizza port and had a great lunch! It was a nice time to get to know Dyson our awesome driver who was super knowledgable about the history of the local SD breweries and beer in general. We ended our trip at ballast point where we purchased $ 200 worth of beer and merchandise to take back to family and friends. I would recommend Dyson as a brew guide. So knowledgable, laid back, FUN and friendly! ASKFORDYSON!

Very disorganized, breweries were not prepared for us and seemed annoyed we were there. We only visited 3 breweries instead of the advertised 4 and there were no light appetizers as advertised. The guide, Mike, was very nice and held it together through all of this and tried to make it fun for all. I would like to add, that I purchased 2 vouchers from Living Social and after about 30 mins on the phone, they agreed to give me a partial refund… not sure if I would use Living Social again either… SD Wine Tours is MUCH more fun! You’ll pay more most likely, but you get what you pay for I have learned.

Meh. Well it was very disorganized. I was promised 4 breweries and light appetizers at each place. There were no appetizers and only 3 breweries. I felt bad for the guide. He seemed really nice and like he was really trying but it seemed no brewery was expecting us or wanted us. Have been on other tours that were way more organized and stayed on schedule. for one

Was in Ocean Beach tonight 3÷13÷13 and saw lic plate«SD Brew» do a California roll at Cable street, and when he got to Voltaire and Sunset Cliffs hestopped at the Red light and then proceeded to go through the red light. I wonder if the guy was drinking. Called the telephone number that was on the window and told the person on the other line, and he appeared nonchalant about the whole thing. He did say however that he was going to call the Two drivers he had in that area and see what was happening. Does not seem like safety is a concern to them if there drivers cannot obey simple traffic laws.

(Note: This is for San Diego Brewery Tours. There are others with similar names.) Do NOT sign up for their brewery tour, you run the risk of cancellation at the last minute. I signed my sons up for this tour 2 weeks in advance and they told me to book it for Saturday because that day always sells out. This long weekend involved hotel reservations as well, so when they called to cancel the night before the tour, I had to rearrange all of their plans — and they were already in San Diego ready to enjoy their weekend! I will never recommend a company that cancels at the last minute. Don’t do it!
