What a bunch of crooks! They came out to look at my mom’s leaking LG washer, proceeded to tell her that it could not be fixed and sold her an $ 1100 new washer. Once I had her cancel the check, we had another company come over, and $ 85 later washer is working perfectly. Need to call the BBB on these crooks.

Four hundred and seventy five dollars for a washer and dryer install that was done improperly. Argued with me on the phone that it was my plumbing that was the problem, not their install. All I could get was hot water to my washer. Had The Appliance Repair Guy from Carlsbad come in to fix a latch that was broken during our move and he fixed the water issue immediately. The washer was connected wrong. These guys would not even come out and look at it before arguing with me that it was my plumbing that was a problem. Also, they told me they would be here between 11 – 2 today. No show, no call and when they answered the phone put me on hold then hung up on me. Next call, they did not answer at all and only called back to tell me my plumbing was wrong and not their install. They promised to call me back again when the talked to the tech and never have.

I have to start off by saying they were my only option as no other company/repair man got back to me. With two kids and a ton of laundry, I needed my dryer installed ASAP,.(SDG&E apparently«repairs» a gas leak by disconnecting everything and then refusing to put it back together). Anyway, the initial quote was $ 150 which in itself is OUTRAGEOUS for this type of work, but I was desperate. When they got here, they said I needed an additional part so they have to charge me $ 50 more for parts and labor. I told them I don’t mind paying for the part but they would have to do the labor even if I already had the part, so it should be included in the initial quote. They tried to say the part was close to $ 40, but I looked it up and it was $ 10. They offered me a «deal» by only charging me $ 10 more if they could use a used part on my dryer. I asked how that was a deal if the part is only $ 10 new. He said that doesn’t include the«rings and adapters»(I guess I am supposed to believe they are really expensive). The work took a total of 15 minutes. I am blown away that it costs me $ 160. I wish I wasn’t so desperate to get my dryer working. Oh well.
