I was at San Diego for weekend and needed a haircut. I found Rey’s hair design on Unilocal and saw that it has great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Ling was very careful with my hair and I am very pleased with my new haircut. This is by far the best barber shop that I have been to and I will definitely come here again on my next trip to San Diego.

Wasn’t sure where in Point Loma to get a hair cut so came to Unilocal for the rescue. Saw all the great reviews so figured I’d give Rey’s Hair Design a shot. Boy am I glad I did! Ling was very meticulous about her work, all while being very personable. I felt very comfortable the whole time. My hair turned out great and the razor shave at the end was just icing on the cake. The best part was, and I don’t know how she does it, but I had no bits of hairs or itchiness anywhere on my neck! That is a first for me after getting a hair cut. Highly recommend you head to Ling for your hair cutting needs!

Best haircut I’ve had in a while. I’m very particular about my low fade and trim and she did a perfect job. Cleaned up around the edges with a straight edge and hot cream. A little on the pricey side (20 bucks plus tip), but you get what you pay for. At my former cheap haircut place I was paying 13 plus tip but the end product was not nearly as good. I will be coming here from now on!

I’ve been going to Ling to get my haircut for a little over five months now. She’s very careful and clean with her cuts. One of the very few barbers out there that still knows how to use a straight edge blade. Hands down, the best barber here in San Diego. Strongly recommend her!

The best advice I ever heard is, «when you find a good barber make sure you stick with that person». After 4 years of living in SD I finally found this place and have been going here for the past 2 years. My commute here is a little longer now but for me it’s worth the drive, the gas, and well priced barber for a quality hair cut. Honestly, I have never looked back after coming here and I feel great every time I leave this barbershop.

I woke up in the morning only to find but my beard was beginning to take over. I finally made it to the gym and the beard slowed me down because it wanted to work in with me. Something needed to be done! I did some research and I found Ling. She was an expert through and through, trimming my beard very professionally, and only charged me $ 8! What a bargain. I think she found a new customer…

I walked in to Rey’s Barber Shop this morning and was greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome. The experience was very pleasant, and I’m very happy with the cut. I simply said that I wanted a high and tight hair cut and showed a couple of examples-that’s all they needed. I will be back.
I did not see any porn magazines (which other people actually consider to be a positive) and I really appreciated that. It’s nice to get your hair cut somewhere where you can just relax and not have to avoid garbage like that.
Ling made me feel very welcome. I recommend this spot for anybody in the Point Loma area.

Rey’s hair design is located in the heart of Point Loma just off Rosecrans. Ling was a great owner! Her customer service and bubbly nature really made me feel welcome. She was very meticulous with the fade and took her time. To end it she offered a quality razor blade line up and massage! Highly recommended barbershop at a great price!

Been in Point Loma for a month now and had a few barbers mess my head up. One barber I asked for a bald fade and he gave me a high and tight like I was a Marine. Came to Rey’s today because of the reviews, and have finally found the barber I’ve been looking for! He knew exactly what type of cut I wanted. Bald, Med. fade with lineup. He has suggestions as well and it’s best to take his advice. Conversation was great and made me want to take a trip back to the Philippines. Great place and I’ll be coming back once a week!
