Hotel is nice, but I came into a room with the previous parties mess. This morning had a worker wanting to fix the thermostat at 9 am. Hoping it gets better as a Marriott rewards member.

I came here at 9:30pm bc my parents’ house was too hot to stay at for my baby. The front desk was nice and accommodating. They had a suite available which had a queen bed with a room separate from the kitchen/living room for $ 149 per night. They also had a crib available for my baby. The hotel is dog friendly and charges $ 100 extra per night. It seems convenient for longer stays since it has a full size refrigerator and stove with pans to cook with and dishware. They offer grocery delivery. It is located next to Yanni’s and Chili’s restaurants, Wendy’s and a gas station. There are also other fast food/other restaurants you can drive to. And a Hawaiian Shave Ice spot that is pretty good, Wahine Kai Shave Ice. When they told me breakfast was in the lobby from 7am-12pm I wasn’t expecting a smörgåsbord! This ain’t no continental breakfast. They had bagels, muffins, cereal, oatmeal w/all the fixings, scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage, roasted potatoes, and waffle making station with juices and coffee. It was great. The reason why this hotel didn’t get 5 stars is bc it’s older, it could use some updating and I had problems draining the tub when I was showering. But other than that I’m happy!

Very disappointed with the level of professionalism and customer service I received from the front desk clerk at checkout. This girl has no business working for Marriott Hotels. I might expect this kind of service from a motel 6, or red roof inn but when I stay at a residence inn I expect better… I pay for better!!! Ok, so here goes, my original reservation was booked through and everything was good. We decided to stay a second night and this is where the problems occurred. First off, they put a hold of $ 350 on my cc for incidentals which I thought was weird but whatever, not a huge deal. When I go to check out Sunday morning, I’m greeted by Kelly, turned in my room keys and handed a bill with nothing on it except«balance due $ 0». When I asked for a break down of the charges I was told that since I booked my stay through and they have negotiated rates that r different that she could not show me those rates. I explained that only the first night was through and the second night was through Marriott and I wanted to see how much I was being charged. She told me that I was being billed $ 342 but still couldn’t give me a bill. So to make a really long story shorter, she tried to tell me that I would have to take it up with and that it wasn’t there mistake. I asked to speak with a manager, Kelly called a Manager, spoke to her for a minute and hung up without letting me talk, offered me a $ 40 discount because they know how dealing with in these situations can be so difficult. I asked again to speak with a manager… This time she called her back and let me explain the situation. Within 2 minutes of talking to the manager, it was figured out that«Marriott» was charging me for both nights by their mistake, corrected the situation and I ended up being charged the correct amount of $ 171… No thanks to Kelly, the Motel 6 quality clerk… I’m sorry, that’s probably an insult to Motel 6, I haven’t stayed at a Motel 6 in 15 years, I’m sure they have gotten better. I was finally given a receipt and told«Goodbye» very rudely. I hope this review helps, as a business owner, even bad reviews can be a good thing if they help u fix a problem and this doesn’t happen again.
