Disclosure: I am a member at ProSource. I am also the flooring contractor who installed hubert p’s floors. Hubert’s review is accurate. There were many problems that came up with his order. It was very frustrating for both of us, but it is hard to tell who was to blame. I won’t say that ProSource was blameless, but they are at the mercy of their suppliers and shippers to receive the correct order. The tile that was delivered was labeled the same as the sample they looked at, so it was the manufacturer’s fault for changing the dye lot and leaving the old sample in the showroom. I place 5 – 10 orders through ProSource per month, and have only had a handful of problems in the last couple of years. Please note that Hubert said that the selection and pricing is pretty solid, and consider giving them a chance to earn your business

We used ProSource as our materials provider for a flooring overhaul in our townhouse. We needed a combination of laminate, tile, and carpet, so checked this place out based on our contractor’s membership here. The selection and pricing is pretty solid. We got ~20% off the list price for laminate/tile and ~40% off for carpet based on our contractor’s membership. They don’t have as much of the lower end, bargain stuff, but the items we were able to price compare were competitive compared to other vendors. We ended up using cheaper stuff from here, which is probably mid-level at other places we shopped. Unfortunately, we seemed to have repeated issues with our orders. First, we ordered tile based on the showroom sample, but turns out the supplier had since changed the look of the tile. So we received the shipment, found out it was the«wrong tile» and had to re-select and re-order everything. The subsequent order was supposed to arrive in a day or two from LA, but ended up taking a week. A good portion of the tile we received were chipped in corners, but we were luckily able to squeak by with the amount of cuts we had to make anyway. Laminate was fairly smooth, but we got some misinformation about the length of the stair nosing, so over-ordered and then had to wait for them to approve a return. The carpet sample we used to order apparently had the wrong price on it, but they did the best they could to still honor a price close to 40% off the original sticker. So we were approved a refund for returning the extra stair nosing and the price difference on our new tile, but then it took almost a month of waiting and calling before the refund was actually processed! Finally, despite spending large sums of money on material costs alone, they also go ahead and tack on shipping charges in the $ 70-$ 100 range. Bleh.
