I love this store! It is definitely one of my favorites mostly I think because it is small enough that I can do a thorough look-see without spending hours and hours digging through junk. I don’t usually bother looking at clothes when I go and when I did this last time the prices seemed a tad high. However the rest of the store has great prices and variety. My eight year old loves to shop here too :)

I love a good thrift store. I can overlook dust and broken toys, dishes, etc … to dig up a good deal. I was excited when i realized this store was a-down the street from me and b-open on sundays! Unfortunately, i feel that many of the prices at this store are a bit high for a thrift store. I have gotten some decent deals on small items but looking at some of the larger items(e.g., white older sofa for $ 295; love seat $ 59 with matching sofa priced separately for $ 99), i thought they were a bit high for a thrift store. Maybe some wouldn’t blink at paying almost $ 200 for a sofa/loveseat, and I certainly wouldn’t but, if it’s in a thrift store then, no thank you.

Wretched, wretched wretch of a store. Unlike my tidy Chula Vista location, this store practically demands a Hazmat suit with breathing apparatus for your shopping experience. Overpriced, shabbily arranged and all around grimy. I fully understand that thrifting can be a contaminating experience but this place just isn’t worth it.

We checked out this thrift store whilst in the neighborhood to shop at the local fresh and easy grocery store. We picked up some great well preserved records for .33 cents a piece– some classic Kool and the Gang, a Banjo/Piano compilation(like being on a river boat in the 1800s!) and the Cat People soundtrack. Wife also found a cool beach photograph. She found a couple of articles of clothing, I found a dutch national soccer jersey from several years ago. Our total bill was $ 18. Also, the air conditioning was fully functional, it wasn’t very crowded and it didn’t smell. That’s always a plus with thrift stores.

I used to come here all the time as a teenager and I don’t remember finding anything that spectacular, but i sure did have some good times searching. I did find a furry cheetah print jacket for $ 4 which i thought was super cool at the time. Good shoe selection and kids clothes.

It is hard for me to judge a good thrift store because I feel like good thrift store finds are pretty much a matter of luck. Sometimes I’m having one of those days, and sometimes I’m not. I will, however, say that the organization and labeling here is top notch, and I found a couple of shirts for like two bucks a pop. So I’m coming back. Also, they have designated dressing rooms which I think is awesome because I hate trying on something like a Mr. Rogers cardigan right in front of a bunch of strangers. AV
