I attended June’s POP event. They showed the film Ed Hardy’s «Tattoo the World». It was the première which I didn’t realize so felt really glad to be watching it among others for the 1st time. Being a MOPA member, I didn’t require a ticket to the movie. I did know to get in line for the theater as the showtime neared, because I had missed out getting a seat at a previous POP event. The lobby was packed like any good party would be — good music, good drinks, and they had a full-on screen printer making rad t-shirts on the spot for only $ 10, with a really cool vintage tattoo –style MOPA design. There was a tattoo artist on site(no takers while I was there) and a couple of mannequins set up so you could draw tattoos on them with markers. I love how creative MOPA gets so their guests can have a unique experience — not just go see a movie.

Shady Business Tactics. bought movie tickets *in advance* to see a screening of The Labyrinth, but instead, found out they oversold the theaters seat capacity just to make money at the full bar. The entire lobby was over packed with pissed off ripped off people. Awesome event, Mopa.

Booze, art, Steve McQueen, AND there’s a DJ? ‘Nuff said, I’m there.
