My Mom had 2 stays here for rehab and this place is only average at best. They took a long time to get her rehab therapy going(she arrived on a Friday and the therapy didn’t start until the following Monday), and they were not very aggressive with the therapy, only giving one or 2 therapy sessions per day. Some of the nurses were nice, but a lot of them were just the going-through-the-motions type of nurses. I have seen worse nursing homes, but I have seen much better ones too. Some loud and out-of-control patients were ignored and it seems like the staff had simply tuned them out and just let them yell all day long. One day there was a small fire in a different wing, and the entire staff went into a panic, and all of them went to that wing to help — leaving the entire wing and all its patients abandoned for a half hour. That scared me a lot, because if the fire had spread there was not one single staff member left on our wing to help evacuate the patients. That type of scenario should be illegal if it isn’t already. Does it really take 100 nurses to put out a tiny fire? They should have stayed with their patients and let the facilities crew handle the fire. I won’t bring my Mom here again.
