Fresh veggies, in a pita the chicken and gyro meat are amazing to mix together. A healthy choice for the surrounding options. I have always been a fan of pita pit I wish they were everywhere. Everything is fresh and healthy and the people that work there are glad to help send you on your way, with a delicious pita.

Reading what Joe the owner has responded to, I think my frustration stemmed purely from the issues with grubhub, which is the service I had used. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious, just sometimes the wait times might be a little long. Thank you for your response!

Pita Pit is in my go to shopping plaza for lunch. My coworker and I decided to try this and glad we did. It’s like subway style but instead of a roll of bread you got a huge pita. Everything is made when you order which is cool, you can watch them grill your meat right in front of you. While they are grilling the meat they will ask you what kind of veggies you want in your pita. They have great sauce selections too. I tend to get extra tzatziki sauce. Yummm. I’ve tried the Salton, Dagwood and Tuna. Nothing disappoints. The pita size is a decent size, I cannot finish a whole in one sitting. The workers here are super friendly and are always helpful. I tend to ask what they recommend because I feel like the menu is a bit overwhelming for indecisive old me. If you haven’t tried it, do it.

This is the best pita pit I’ve been to. All the guys that work there are so friendly, they have speedy service and have a nice and clean store to sit down and enjoy your food. Today I ordered delivery, I live in the apartments across the parking lot and my food was at my door in less than 10 minutes, I couldn’t have walked down there and ordered it myself any faster! I suggest their gyro pita with all the veggies and tzatziki which is hands down my favorite! Thanks everyone at pita pit for being so awesome

Ordered online and paid 25.00 for food that was wrong. They mixed up our order and they were late. The pita bread was hard as rock. I won’t be eating here ever again. Disappointed.

My new favorite lunch spot! I’ve never been to a Pita Pit before this place opened up. It’s like a Subway, but with Greek food. Everything seems fresh and healthy, and you can tell them what you like as they cook the food right in front of you. Long lines at lunch time… I recommend ordering online in advance.

This was my first time going to this location since I always used to go to the SDSU one before it sadly got shut down. The SDSU location was always my go to. Although this Pita Pit is the same as what the other one used to be, this one just doesn’t compare. I feel like my pita pit wrap wasn’t made with love! I ordered the hummus pita wrap w/whole wheat pita bread. The lady that put my wrap together was really sloppy on how she put it together. The hummus was sloppily spread and the vegetables were popping out from all directions. Overall, you should give this place a chance if you’re curious but don’t drive here specifically for the wraps.

This location has great workers, fresh veggies, and great food for a reasonable price! Better than a Subway flatbread sandwich any day!

I love this place! The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious. There are a ton of choices and different ways to create your pita, so be sure to ask the guys behind the counter for recommendations if you’re new. I love throwing onions, spinach, mushrooms, bell pepper and tomato on the grill with whatever else I’m adding(like chicken) — just be sure to tell them! They really do give fantastic recommendations and know whats good!

This place was great, idk what people are complaining about! Great service, great food. I got the steak n eggs and it was delicious. You can choose a large variety of add ins. Selection is plentiful. Wish there was one up in oceanside!

Service was good but the food didn’t taste all that great! Not impressed with their flavors. They should re-think their ingredients!

First time here. Very good. Coming back for sure. Veggies were fresh and crispy. The chicken crave which includes grilled chicken and ham was very tasty. They load up the pita pretty good with whatever veggies and cheese you would like and will grill any of the veggies you want. Good alternative to the same old places in this plaza. Equal value to Urbane Café.

I LOVEPITAPIT! The one by SDSU was greatly missed in my life, and I am so excited that they have opened one again here in San Diego. Pita Pit is always super quick at delivery and they are always very generous with how many fillings they stuff my pita with. This location is especially great customer service wise, and since I work right down the street I have probably ordered from or been here 5 or 6 times since they opened two months ago. Highly recommend.

Food was okay. Ordered a gyro pita, the meat was okay but the tzatziki sauce was bland. For $ 8 the pita was really small and there was no side. Will not order from here again.

Food quality was okay. However, if you are going to advertise a special on the counter with a bunch of ingredients and a customer says, «I’ll take the special,» why is there a mystery and confusion when the customer asks where are all the ingredients you said would be in the special? The reply I got was, «Oh, all those ingredients are options… you still have to tell us what you want.» Huh? I can understand if I wanted in addition to, subtractions, or substitutions. But when the special said grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, etc… and then you plop a plain pita on the counter with just the grilled meat and say, «Okay, what do you want on it?» «Uhm, I ordered the special… did you not grill onions, mushrooms, etc in it?» Your employee did not understand this question. I paid for a special… but got something way less. I was in a hurry, so I just took it. Unsatisfactory advertisement, fulfillment, and employee understanding — with not even an offer to make it up to me on a future visit.

Great and fresh. However when arriving for lunch with 7 people in line only one person working. Taking the orders, money then making the pits sandwich. This is unacceptable service. Don’t ruin a great place.

Review is for Unilocal online order experience. Was chillin at home, feeling lazy, hungry and didnt want to cook. Pita pit just opened. They r a 3 min drive or 8 min walk so figured ordering delivery would be ok. Sho wasnt. First tip, if you try to add something to your order they will remove everything and only give you that one item. E.g. i wanted grilled mushrooms(they so tiny you wont taste them) with my buffalo chicken pita. I add that, what i get is literally buf chik w/only grilled shrooms. I was wondering why my pita looked anemic b4 i opened it. 2nd, i got the hummus pita. I tried adding stuff to that but again only got what i added. I was lucky to get hummus since i didnt select it but really… It was like i had no hummus at all. About 3 bites in, i had yet to taste any hummus. I’m thinking they give you half a tablespoon of hummus. The delivery took over half an hour. I was thinking, maybe, someone drives to pita and licks up my stuff but nah. A pita pit mofo delivered my items. The buf chik was cold as ice. Not cool PP. I’m super close, cant you put 2 and 2 together??? Chips are pricey at $ 1.39. Also, if someone orders from Unilocal online delivery, it might be a smart biz move to deliver the grub warm at least. Hellzzzz… I order from places in pt loma that deliver scolding hot grub. If I were u when thinking about trying this place, don’t, hit up Urbane Café, you get what you pay for at UC and its farrrrrrr better! Step yo game up pita! The buf chik was not spicey at all. The mushrooms were non existent. Barely tasted any hummus but the veggies were ok.

I visited San Diego few days ago. I like the location which is pretty closer to Seaworld or hotel circle. If you want quick food fix while on the go without compromising much on the nutritional value, then PitaPit is worthy! The same location also has Starbucks, pizza and sandwich option too. We ordered 3 pita and all were yummy. Usually kids pita has 3 veggies but serving guy put 4 veggies by saying«I like when kids eat veggies». Yup that was nice gesture and encouraging kids to eat veggies in mad rush of protein world :) I wish they open more PitaPits across north California too.

First time coming here, excellent Pita’s. For the gyro tho I would rathe go to Daphne’s, Canada Steak Burger or Spiro Gyros. Lacking enough Gyro meat here. However! The buffalo chicken pita is now my new fave! We added jalapeño ranch and cilantro it was fantastic! A new fave! The hummus is also super delicious one of the best I’ve had so far here. I’m happy this new location is close to work we will be back again soon!

I like a good pita sandwich and especially one made for breakfast. The Pita Pit offers three, the Steak n’ Eggs, Morning Glory, and the Meat the Day, and I went for the Meat the Day which came with eggs, bacon, black forest ham, green peppers, onions, hash browns, and cheddar cheese for about $ 6 and some change, if I remember correctly. The breakfast pits was good, but it needed some improvements. For example, they served it on a cold pita bread, so the soft moist warm texture of the pita bread was not there and cooled off the ingredients inside, instead of keeping them warm and cozy. The ham and the bacon tasted good, but there was just not enough of them inside the pita, and although they put a good amount of hash browns, the hash browns were not crispy and reminded me more of quickly soft chopped potatoes. The egg was not freshly prepared, but rather they used a chopped up previously cooked eggs, which I did not appreciate. They have a hot griddle where they tossed the bacon, ham, and veggies, so that would be an easy fix: to scramble up some eggs with said in ingredients. The spinach was fresh and the chipotle sauce was tasty and had a mild bite. Service was good, have good prices, but I left still hungry. I say warm up that pita, put more ham and bacon, and scramble up a couple of fresh eggs, then we’ll have a breakfast pita that is satisfying.

I was glad to see Pita Pit opening near USD! I used to go there in high school and when there was a location near SDSU as well. I came in around 9:30pm(they close at 10), and the staff was super nice. I got a philly steak pita and it was very good!

Pita Pit is delicious! I work in an area that doesn’t have a lot of healthy food near it. This is a perfect location. It is close enough for me to quickly pick up lunch or I can easily get a delivery order in through their pita pit app. The veggies are fresh and taste so good. The falafel is amazing! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is really clean. I will be going here often :)

My new favorite place to order food. They deliver. I work in Mission Valley and there are not many delivery options and no healthy places to order from. This place is fast they had my order here in less than 30 min. I ordered the prime rib pita it was amazing and they have the best humus. I will be trying everything on the menu it all looks so yummy. I have been waiting for a good healthy place to eat. The veggies on my pita were so fresh. I couldn’t be happier

I was meeting some friends for lunch and convinced them to come here instead of Souplantation. I was a fan of the Pita Pit Carlsbad location before it shut down years ago. I am glad to see they are popping back up in San Diego as the other locations have shut down. Location in Linda Vista is much more convenient than the now closed Pacific Beach or SDSU as their store is near the 5 and 8 freeways. Parking wasn’t a problem for me at 11am as they have their own shared lot. I went with my usual Chicken Caesar wrap which includes chicken, bacon and choose your own toppings which included spinach, cheese, tomatos and cucumbers. The service was very good and I enjoyed my wrap. I drank water but they have a coca-cola freestyle machine for beverage selection. I will come back when I am in the area and feel like a wrap.
