Literally the worst place to work at never got paid still waiting and it’s been 3 months they rush everything when working on a property and dont even try to make it look good.

Dave, I absolutely will not remove my review, consumers have a right to know the truth about you and your business! I showed you two pictures of gates prior to the start of the project one if which you did in Kensington and you told me you could do it you just needed to remember how you did it. Those gates were not out of scope — you yourself said that. I have pictures of the poor quality and you didn’t admit that you couldn’t do it until I pointed out all of the issues. The front gate latch that remains a problem today, it doesn’t open all the way. The double gate was sagging before I terminated you for cause, and that only after numerous attempts to get you to correct it. You never once mentioned to me the option of having anything removed. Like I said you are a smooth talker. You have NO integrity and neitherdoes your staff. Your staff was always in a hurry — they were the ones that cut corners — I found the double gate hung with a hinge that was terribly misplaced And it wasn’t corrected till I sent you a picture. Cigarette butts left in the newly laid sod. The gates according to you needed heavy duty hinges and wheels. The wheels placed on the double gates did not even touch the ground. You should have done quality control and found the issues before I did. That’s how good businesses operate. You keep denying the truth and blowing a bunch of smoke. It’s not personal it’s business! Don’t get it twisted… the pictures I post will show exactly what I have stated to be true. I have talked with Frank Molina — you didn’t go above and beyond. The wood for the deck wasn’t even stained on all sides. I requested a breakdown of costs several times but you never supplied me with the breakdown. I am a true supporter of the Wounded Warriors my comment had nothing to do with the individual it had everything to do with you using Wounded Warrior support as a marketing opportunity.

I cancelled our previous landscaper to change to Pink Flamingo with all their hype about being legal, licensed, english speaking and patriotic. They kept bragging about how automated their systems was with a reminder email, a sheet at the end of the service with what they did, ad nauseum. Too bad the english speaking lawn folks SUCK at landscaping. Either they left four inch tracks of non mown grass in the front, or scalped the grass in the back. I asked 3 different times(using their tedious email system) for them to dead head my roses and after three visits, it hadn’t been done. I asked them to trim the border bushes in the back and they left clippings with thorns all over the place. They overfilled my yard waste containers, never pulled a weed or trimmed a bush. I could go on but I won’t. Well maybe I will: One thing they did do was to build up the berms around three citrus trees, and they did this well. HOWEVER they left the hose on at full blast. It is on the lower yard and I didn’t notice it until our dog came in the house the next day all muddy! Oh and they charged 32% more than my previous(and current) landscaper. What a crock of BS. The owner spends more time trying to be «an executive» with all these systems in place, but that doesn’t do you any good if the work you do is heinous.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for routine gardening service. The crews seem to be underpaid or uninterested in their jobs. Dave seemed to be more interested in installing a ridiculous and un-needed drip system than actually addressing the needs of the customers. The rates are too expensive and quality of work is too low.

We’ve been a monthly customer of Pink Flamingo for over 2 years now. They have been consistent in their care and maintenance of our lawn. They’ve also gone out of their way to accommodate special projects like putting down gravel on our driveway and tending our bougainvillea hedge. In all the time we’ve worked with them, they’ve always come for our bi-weekly service, called in advance to remind us, ask if we have any special requests, and followed up with their service review/request form. All in all, we’re happy with Pink Flamingo and recommend them to others.

No, I was definitely not urged to write this review by any contractor or anyone else for that matter. What would I have to gain by that? I am just a Kensington resident and homeowner who appreciates honest service and respect. I received neither from you when you came out for your appraisal some time ago. Hence, my review was an honest warning to my fellow neighbors to avoid a business that I felt acted unethically towards me and my partner. If my review helped in any way for you to be more conscientious in your business transactions than it served a valuable purpose. I am a huge fan of Unilocal and appreciate a site that allows consumers to share their honest experiences with local businesses.

Saw their truck in my neighborhood and gave them a call for some estimates. They canceled once or twice – one reason was oral surgery. I know dental work sucks but you can’t work because of it? Anywho, I let them come out and explained what I wanted. Instead of taking my email address he(I think Dave) told me to go on their website and submit my email that way. I guess it was some sort of test to see if I was truly interested. I submitted my email and never heard back. You would think if you wanted business and had been to an estimate and somehow missed the submitted email that you would follow up with a phone call but I guess not. 1 star for the Flamingo, none for the company. edit: After reading Dave’s reply I can understand what happened and have sent him an email. A phone call/email explaining the situation would have been nice. And for the record, the neighbors never did contact me so I don’t know why they cared if Dave finished with clients he had already given estimates to. I’m also amending my rating to two stars: 1 for the flamingo and 1 for Dave’s honest apology.
