My wife and I always keep an eye out for Phở Realz at the Hillcrest Farmer’s Market. Great food for a great price. You NEED to pick up breakfast or lunch here soon. Wish there was a restaurant location.

I had the fortune to experience Phở Realz?! today at lunch in the business park where I work. I was impressed! Everything from the quality of the food to the friendliness of the staff was great! Tried the«Happy Rolls»(Shrimp & pork mixed fried spring rolls) which I thought were absolutely excellent. Crispy, meatly and tasty. Great with their sweet chili dipping sauce. Also had the«Banh-Mi Up Scottie» sandwich(I absolutely love banh mi). Their variant of it(from what I’m traditionally accustomed to) is wonderful. The marinated pulled pork, pickled and fresh vegetables along with the sriracha mayo really really pops and is so savory. Also, really appreciate the friendliness and overall down-to-earth personalities of the staff. Great to chat with for a bit!

After seeing a photo of one of their specials on Instagram, we tracked them down at the Hillcrest Farmer’s Market to try the Phở Burrito. We also ordered«Bahn Mi Up Scottie». It seemed like a one man show back there, and he did a great job handling the orders, talking to his customers, making the food, and serving it with a smile. The Phở Burrito was out of this world delicious. I don’t even know what else to say about it. It was absolutely perfect. The Bahn Mi was delicious too. We also ordered the ginger mint lemonade. I highly recommend tracking this guy down. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!

I ate here last Sunday and had the happy rolls and Meeka Daaaang. Honestly, it was some the best food I’ve had in a very long time. The happy rolls were fried to perfection and the pork inside was fresh and seasoned perfectly. You mix that with the sweet n sour sauce that comes with it and you have yourself an outstanding appetizer. Next up was the Meeka Daaaaang and Daaaaang these noodles were the bomb. Ves(the owner) cooked it on the wok and prepared it fresh to order. I got chicken with mine and whatever sauce he put in there got me wanting to come back for more. The amazing thing about both of these dishes was that it hit on all 4 senses making the perfect Unami. I strongly recommend coming here and look to add this to one of my favorite go to’s in San Diego.

Phở Realz is the best! My husband and I visit them every time we go to the Hillcrest Farmer’s Market on Sundays. He ALWAYS gets the banh mi and I ALWAYS get the bun. It is delicious and fresh and I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. So we decided to have them cater my son’s first birthday party and I am so glad we did. Not only are they reasonably priced, they are so easy to work with and accommodating for me and my guests. I got wonderful reviews from everyone at the party about their food. I highly recommend them!

I had the Bun Cha-Cha-Cha. Everything tasted fresh, and the meal was pretty filling. There wasn’t anything that amazed me about this meal, but I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to try them out again if I see them at another event — many things on their menu looked good. I am giving this 3 stars as compared to restaurants with this style food; it might be 4 stars w/respect to food truck fare, but I just haven’t hit enough food trucks to make that call.

The best the best the best., that’s about all the energy I have to type right now. But do you self a huge favor and scream me ca dang at them when you see the yellow tent at the Oceanside sunset market on thursday nights. They have a primo spot right in the middle and have the most amazing coconut pearl drink., I wish they served it in big gulp size. Also, I’ve had the phở about a half dozen times and it never disappoints! It’s always on point, fresh, no msg, and made to order. Man I want one right now. I first had their food at the pacific beach farmers market but now I follow them up Ito Oceanside Thursday nights for the fun festival spectacle that the city consistently offers. It’s pretty legit. Anyhow, just wanted to get another review under my belt. Support local, support small business /young entrepreneurs /amazing food /and some other hip tag line :-) oh yes, and super duper friendly staff. Epic.

This place is great and they serve up some great eats. I found them at the PB Farmer’s market via recommendation by a fellow Unilocaler Elite Ali and her mischievous ways. I ordered the Bun Cha Cha which came with tender tasty pork, a chopped up crispy egg roll filled with shrimp and ground pork served of noodles, greats, and generously topped with crushed peanuts( ). The very crispy egg roll was fantastic with its succulent shrimp and tender savory ground pork meat. These could not of been prepared any better and were my favorite part of my meal( ). The pork was very tender and flavorful. I am assuming they marinate the pork before cooking it because it sure had some well developed flavors. The noodles were a soft and slippery the way they should be and tasted great with a little soy added to them( ). The greens were all fresh and crisp. The couple who run Phở Realz are quite nice and hip. I could tell that they were very confident that they were provided a great product and they were and are! You can find them on Tuesday at the P.B. Farmer’s Market starting at 2 P.M. and other farmer’s market around town. Nicely done peeps…

Phở realz?!, thanks for being at the PB farmers market, thus coming into this vietnamese food loving girl’s life! You sold me when I stopped by to get some egg rolls(happy rolls). Perfectly fried, high quality meat(w/shrimp!!) I could take down like 10 of those babies if I really wanted to. Which I do. Then you gave me a sample of your broth. Very comforting, herbally, anise-y. Almost as good as my mums broth, and that’s saying a lot! I finally got a phở to go without meat and I’m currently devouring it. Phở noodles are a little thicker than the usual but I’m completely ok with that. Loving it! There are no local phở places that offer a really good bowl of phở at the same price point. I really wanna try the bun cha cha next! thanks for being such sweet owners, and bringing bomb viet/asian food to the masses! xoxo

Great food and service! Can be seen at North Park Farmers Market and in front of Ripe on 32nd and Thorn often, as well as many other local hot spots. The Mi Ka Daaang and Phở are amazing, Phở Realz!

This is what I know about Phở(or at least what I’ve been told) : Its All About The Broth!!! And Phở Realz, does this noodle, beef brothy deliciousness right, and that’s Phở Shizzle. I got to try it on Sunday, when they were filling in for another vendor in Hillcrest, man I wish they were there on the regs. I also got to try a little bite of the Ban Mi and it was Bomb-mi. Okay, enough of the Vietnamese food puns. Just find them. Try it.

Decided to hit up Phở Realz?! after sampling a few tasters at Mike Hess North Park. Just wanted a bite to keep me from grabbing some garbage food on the way home. Folks behind the counter suggested the Happy Rolls as good introduction so I went for it. Forever the bargain hunter I opted for the 6 rolls for $ 5. Once confirming with me that pork and shrimp was OK they served up the egg rolls with sweet chili dipping sauce and pointed out the other available sauces. Settled in and started, choosing to dip the rolls into soy, duck and the sweet chili sauces. Small, delicate pillows of eggroll goodness! Tasty! with a really great texture to the roll casing that reminded me of some sort of nicely crunchy french crêpe mashup. The six rolls totally filled me up too! Also sampled the Phở broth which was yummy, so I’ll be on the lookout to try the Phở next time!

My wife and I recently experienced Phở Realz at Hess Brewery in Miramar. We went with some friends to try out some new beers and saw these guys set up outside to provide food. It was an unassuming little tent and it looked like some sort of twist on Vietnamese food. We order the BBQ pork bun and lemon grass chicken satay, and we were both pleasantly surprised by how good their food is. When I talked to the owner/chef later on, I found out their food is more of a Cambodian flavor, which I haven’t seen anywhere before. Being unfamiliar with Cambodian food, I can’t comment on the authenticity, but the flavors were pretty cool! The owner did mention as a joke that his grandmother watched over his shoulder as he created the recipe for the Phở broth. I had a sip of the broth and it had more of an anise flavor than the typical Vietnamese broth. I’ll have to try that next time. Some of our friends ordered the egg rolls and they liked them too. I highly recommend checking this place out if you ever see them at a farmer’s market or something(no food trucks). I haven’t seen any Cambodian restaurants in San Diego, so the food from this cool little vendor is a rare taste for me. It looks like they’re just starting out at this, and I hope they do well so I can keep seeing them in more places.
