I enjoy walking to this park with my dogs. There are sidewalks around the whole thing, lots of open space, ball fields, restrooms, BBQs, and playgrounds. It’s nice and quiet when no one is around, and is well kept. No dog poo bags, though, so come prepared! The surrounding neighborhood is nice to walk through when a the flowers are in full bloom. Nature FTW!

Nice neighborhood park next to Cherokee Elementary. One thing I really like about this park is the ground is that springy rubber material, as opposed to sand or wood chips. Less mess in my car/house. Also there are BBQ pits and a nice sized field for kite flying. The spin seats are fun for adults too!

Love/hate relationship with this field… Been playing softball here for 6 years with Vavi… have won many championships and amazing(seriously unbelievable) games here… but the field itself… wellllll… — you smell weed every night you play here… some may like this… I do not — we had a gang fight… yes…true story… almost erupt when a team we were playing got into it with a group of kids walking around the field… this ended up with the kids reaching in their pockets… walking onto the field. throwing balls at the team… and finally being removed by police(aftermath the team had to change«colors» so as not to create a constant issue) — the field is used by the community center which is next door… and this is all good and dandy… except the field… which gets re sodded about every 2 – 3 years) gets chewed up and not well maintained about a week after? — fences… I think the one park that has a symmetrical fence(~275 feet around) of all the Vavi fields If you don’t driving into the ghetto of San Diego… this is probably one of the better places to try your softball skillz out… or get a free contact buzz
