Yen is amazing and extremely sweet. I explained to her once how I wanted my haircut and she remembers every time. Prices are also extremely reasonable. I usually get a skin fade with finger length on top and the ways she cuts it is absolute perfection. If you explain to her how you like your cut, she’ll do the job well! I highly recommend this place.

I have gone to Yen for 15 years. She is the only person that gets it right time after time. I get some highlights. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The cut may change as style changes but it is always right for the shape of my face and color tones of my skin. She is so nice and prices reasonable. Yen, never leave San Diego and never never retire.

Yen (the owner) is the absolute best !!! I’ve been getting my hair cut by her since the 90’s. She is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet and gives the best men’s haircuts. She also does women’s hair. You won’t be disappointed.

i guess it’s true – you do get what you pay for. i only paid $ 12 for the haircut and it looks like i paid much much less. i took the time to explain very clearly (3 times) how i wanted my hair cut to the woman who butchered my hair. on every point she did the opposite of what i asked and because i am almost blind without my glasses i couldn’t see it til the end and the damage was done. perhaps if she hadn’t had to stop 3 times to answer phone calls, she might have been able to remember what i asked for. hopefully this mess will grow out quickly. a woman who was getting her haircut by edwin in the chair one over couldn’t stop showering him with praises on what an outstanding job he does and my roommate loves going to see edwin and has a great cut (which is why i decided to try them). but the woman did a lousy job on me.
