I scheduled a race between here and the nearest Domino’s to my house. They promised me a pizza in 25 minutes. I had a two-topping large pizza on my table in 20 minutes, and it took another 25 minutes for Domino’s to deliver. The pizza was exactly as ordered, not undercooked, and faster than promised. If you want a pizza right now, call Papa John’s.

Ordered delivery online only for them to never deliver my pizza after an hour and a half of waiting. Said it wasn’t marked for delivery but thought it was normal for a customer to never come after all that time? What is the purpose of leaving a phone number with an order that you already paid for online? Confirmed I did mark delivery and paid the online delivery charge. When I called, the kid working interrupted me numerous times and told me he would have to charge me AGAIN if I wanted it delivered. Wouldn’t let these people manage any money whatsoever. I went to pick up and my order was cold and dry. Garlic knots where over-cooked. I’ve never had such an issue with Papa John’s but it’s safe to say I would rather take a Hot-N-Ready from Little Caesars from now on.

I’m very unhappy with the customer service. It was horrible and I will never order again from that store. The manager was super rude and not helpful at all. To top it off I received an email stating that my pizza will be 30 to 40 minutes. It was an hour later so I decided to call the restaurant to see what was going on. The manager came on the phone and she was rude and trying to rush me off the phone instead of addressing the problem. Then when the delivery guy finally came(mind you I already tip the delivery guy when I made my online order) I asked him for the receipt for me to sign and he said he didn’t have it and he said it was okay, and then I asked him again and he gave me the same line and it was okay I don’t need you to sign which was kind of funny to me because I paid credit. He just gave me a copy of the receipt but I never signed anything, I am very disappointed in this restaurant. This restaurant needs new staff that actually likes their job. Please hire a manager that has good customer service because she obviously hates her job.

When I lived in Mira Mesa I have always gone with Papa John’s for take out. Moving to the South Bay area I continued to use Papa John’s still. One incident coming home from Mira Mesa from an appointment plus stuck in traffic I called my wife and asked what was for dinner. She replied and said lets go out for dinner since the kids were tired and hungry from school and from their sports practices. To top it off my wife had a rough day as well and it was one of those nights where we couldn’t make it to the kitchen to cook. So we decided to call up Papa John’s for pizza(s) right around 6:20 pm. It was probably around 6:24 pm and I figured by the time I get through this traffic and make my way home the pizza would be waiting for me. After about 45 minutes and still in traffic my wife decided to call me, I figured the kids were tearing up the pizza leaving me scraps and she wanted to know how many pieces should she set aside for me. To my surprise the pizza was not even there yet! While on the road I called(hands free unit of course) Papa John’s to see what was going on. I spoke to the manager and assured me that it would take about 10 to 15 minutes. I finally got home and waited for about a good 30 minutes and now we are at the 1 hour and 30 minute marker and the pizza still wasn’t here. I called spoke to the manager and he was apologetic and offered to not charge us for our meal. Another 30 minutes gone by and still no delivery(2 hour marker now). Made another phone call and the manager apologized again. Then finally the delivery person came and was very apologetic. We received the pizza which was still warm and enjoyed it. Why am I giving Papa John’s on Hollister a 5 star rating is because to me it was an isolated incident and the manager made it right by not charging our dinner and plus 2 weeks later I received in the mail a written apology along with free large pizza coupons on my next visit. Mistakes do happen, especially once in while, its a different story if its all the time like the McDonald’s on Palm off 805 now they make mistakes all the time but that’s another review. Management and staff is what made a bad experience turn out to be a good one. I believe the manager at the time was named«Oscar,» but I could be wrong.

I am so disappointed right now. We just ordered the Valentine’s special and garlic knots. There was no garlic dippin sauce with our pizzas. And the garlic knots were burnt. I will never get Papa John’s ever again after this. The only reason I even ordered this in the first place was for that sauce. Also no Parmesan or red pepper flakes were offered to us. Worst delivery service ever.

I ordered the 6 cheese pizza and it came, but when I asked the delivery guy for Parmesan cheese he said they no longer carry it because of new management and you have to order it when you place your order. So being the diligent guy I am, I went back to the app to locate this and, as I suspected, there is no location to order Parmesan cheese. I do remember the old days when drivers carried Parmesan and peppers and had them readily available. But I guess in this time of financial strain and turmoil, carrying a few 0.05 cent packages of cheese and peppers is way too much to ask for. Thanks for nothing! 10⁄19: I received a call the other day from the manager who left a message as I wasn’t able to get to the phone when she called. She explained that the driver was incorrect; that the cheese packets weren’t up to quality. That seems like a reasonable explanation but doesn’t explain what the driver said, unless he was confused or misinformed.

Randy offered great customer service! We made a online order and he was courteous enough to make sure it was correct without question. He even offered a better rate with a special that was provided online. I don’t know this guy nor I’ve never seen him but if this guy is not a manager, you must change that. My GF and I are very happy with our dinner, thank you!

We were just starting to use the online promotions and order pizza online. Unfortunately, we order a pizza just now and I guess they had a new driver who got lost the staff and even the delivery guy were nice. What really got to me was that they new that the pizza had taken longer than an hour and we where upset and they didn’t even offer anything as a courtesy for the inconvenience. I even called to cancel and they did with pleasure didn’t even hesitate or asked if they could do something to make it better. Not sure I’ll will be ordering from then again.

I waited over 4 hours for a pizza! Don’t Order from here!!! We ordered a pizza and they said it would be about an hour. We had to call the store after it had been 2 hours and no pizza. They told us the guy had just left 10 minutes ago and would be there soon if not to call back. We had to call after waiting another 30 minutes! The Manger said he was sorry and he would refund our pizza and it was on him. At this point we weren’t to upset except a whole other hour passed by after he had left«10» minutes ago! At our 4th hour we had to call back because we still had no pizza! We were beyond upset. They sent us a brand new pizza but it took them over 4 hours! Never again will I order from Papa John’s.

Absolutely horrible service! We ordered a pizza online and received a confirmation email saying it would be at our residence in 35 to 45 minutes. An hour and a half later we decided we would call and see why our pizza had not arrived yet. The workers that had answered had absolutely no idea where the driver was and preceded to tell us that maybe we got the bad driver. So we waited another 30 minutes and still no pizza so we called back and got the manager this time, and he said to us it should be there any minute. The question I have is why would I want a pizza that has been sitting in a driver’s car for 2 hours? Thank you papa John’s I ordered a pizza to eat it while it was cold. So in conclusion just order from dominoes!

I would rather drive across town to pick up a pizza from a competent Papa Johns. Ordered 2 pizzas in 1 order. The thin crust pizza was smushed together and was half the size. The other pizza had a hair in it!!! Worst pizza experience I have ever had. DONTORDER from this place I would give it a negative 5 stars if I could.

If half a star was possible I would put one. Worst service ever!!! Delivery was about an hour which was fine. Driver forgot my soda and told me he was going to bring one back. Tipped him $ 6 to make it easier so when he returns with my soda there’s no hassle. An hour later I call the store and I was put on hold for 15 minutes. Finally got a hold of someone and they apologized for not having the soda and that I am still waiting. Their excuse was that the driver still hasn’t returned to the store from the delivery(which has been over an hour). They asked if they can send another driver with the soda. It’s not even about the soda, it’s the principle behind it. However, the manager did try to offer a pizza and side on them but I decline because over an hour is just unacceptable. Never ordering from this place again.

This place has the worst listening skills! We tried to order online and their system would not work. Then calling this location to order two pizzas took over 15 minutes just to repeat the order three times to some new girl who apparently doesn’t write things down. We ordered an extra large speciality pizza and a second large 4 topping pizza, bill over $ 40+. Over an hour later when the delivery guy got to our house, which is only 5 minutes away, they came with only 1 large pizza with a monster combo of all the toppings we ordered amongst the 2 separate pizzas! Then we called the location back to speak with a manager, asking to get our original 2 pizzas that we ordered, correctly this time, it has been over an hour and still they have not arrived! This is the worst pizza ordering experience I’ve ever had and I still don’t have my pizza!!!

Very disappointed. First of all, it took over an hour and a half for the pizza to be delivered. They didn’t have to go far and traffic wasn’t to blame. We ordered The Works and couldn’t believe how stingy they were with the toppings. There were literally no more than 3 to 4 pieces of any topping combination on each slice. I had never had a Papa John’s pizza before this and it will definitely be the last.

My wife and I ordered a Large Double Cheese Burger Pizza. Trying to get it to order on line and give the $ 12.00 price instead of the $ 17.99 was a pain in the backside. I finally got it to give us the discount. We ordered two of the large. They did give us the 2 large pizza’s for $ 12.00ea. They charged a $ 2.99 delivery fee and of course you can’t forget Uncle Moonbeam.(Gov. Brown’s sales tax cut) $ 2.16 for a total price of $ 29.15. The pizza was ordered at 6:15pm. It was delivered in less than 30mins. It was still very hot. Not luke warm like the last one from the Papa John’s Pizza on 3rd. Ave. in Chula Vista. This is the second time we have ordered from Papa John’s and will not order from them again. Not because of the price their service was excellent, but the Double Cheese Burger Pizza really had on taste to it. Almost as bad as the dollar menu Hamburgers and hamburger sauce at Mc Donald’s.

Not only does Papa John’s have great pizza, but their deals are great and can be found daily — via email, discount sites, etc. This particular restaurant on Hollister is not only in my neck of the woods — it’s the best pizza place in the area and has the best customer service around(thanks to Manager Monty)! I rarely have any issues with my order, but on the one or two occasions that something hasn’t been ‘quite right’ Monty has gone out of his way to make it so! I even received a personal phone call after I sent a comment about a prior order, and I have to tell you how wonderful it was to receive such personal service directly from the store manager. I give this location a huge thumbs up and I hope anyone who enjoys great pizza and equally great service will make it their go-to place also!

ordering from sometimes takes longer than expected… soo… when my mister and I are craving a savory slice of papa john’s pepperoni pizza dipped with their infamous garlic sauce, we do carry-out at this particular papa johns. ORDERBYPHONE rather than online for carry-out or delivery. We like carry-out wayyy better because it gives us an excuse to get out of the house and get some fresh air :) The papa johns staff here have always been friendly to us! I feel bad that Unilocaler Henry experienced sucky service :(I hope you get better service next time! i love papa johns pizza!!!
