Wow, I am truly shocked by the service I received yesterday. I don’t usually leave nasty reviews but I think this one is kind of warranted. I ordered a pizza online, one single two-topping pizza, simple order. I ordered it at 6:26pm and I got an email immediately to confirm. The email said it would be delivered in 30 – 40 minutes, which meant 6:56 or 7:06pm. At 7:26, I called papa johns and asked if my pizza was being delivered. I get it, teenagers work at papa johns and they don’t exactly care about their jobs or customer service. The kid that took my call said that my pizza had only been ordered 31 minutes ago(not true and I had the email to prove it) and he was sure it would come in the next 5 minutes. He was not willing to contact the driver and he basically told me to F$&@ off. The pizza came at just after 8pm, a little over an hour after it was supposed to come. The driver apologized profusely to my husband and said that the store had«screwed him by giving him 3 different orders to deliver and the first two homes were not marked.» I was willing to overlook all of this when I emailed their corporate office to explain what had happened and seek assistance. No response. Not even an automated response thanking me for my email. What a joke of a company. We throw a lot of parties and we always buy 4 – 5 pizzas for the kids. We will be ordering elsewhere from now on. 2−11−16 Update. Store Manager Sergio called and apologized and sent us a free large pizza and 2 liter bottle of soda. Sergio was really nice and apologetic and the pizza came in exactly 30 minutes.

We have been customers for a long time, but recently we had noticed a change in quality. The topping were a lot less than normal and our pizzas, have been like day old cardboard. Cold. I called Papa Johns and let them know, I received a call from the Regional Manager he stated the local company would be in contact with me to make this right. I have never heard from them. I won’t do business with them anymore.

I ordered 3 pizzas and cinnamon sticks, and they messed up the order. Then when I called they would resend it, two hours later, still no cinnamon sticks. I called back the manager Felicia was super rude, and had said we had received the sticks already! Argued with me non stop and told me that she can’t send them again. AGAIN?!? You never even sent them. Then came up with some story about how yes we already did receive them. Umm we didn’t. My best guess was the pizza driver ate them or they were never sent. Lastly I called back to tell them to just refund me for it, since they can’t get my address correct mind as well save them a trip and she goes no they are already in the oven. I can’t refund them now. Basically telling me it was my fault. So rude. No customer service at all. The manager was super rude, had no grasp of customer service even though she was in the wrong. I tried to make their life easier and she declined me of a simple refund. Don’t order or go here unless you want people that have no customer or people skills. Someone needs to rethink keeping Felicia in her position.

My go-to late night pizza place. I always order online because then I get free pizza after a certain number of orders, or sometimes chicken or cheesesticks etc. Always use the coupons! I recommend asking for extra sauce on the pizza because that way the cheese to sauce ratio is better. The estimated time is almost always right, and the pizza is always cooked to perfection. Yum.

I’ve been a customer of this papa john’s for YEARS, only because it’s one of the only locations that will deliver in my area. The pizza isn’t bad — if it weren’t for the disrespectful employees there, this location would have gotten 4 stars. The past 2 times i’ve called, I got the worst service i’ve ever gotten ANYWHERE. I called for delivery a month ago, and when i misunderstood what she said, she hung up. and after i tried calling back 3 times, each time she picked up the phone ANDHUNGUPONME!!! Not even to mention the last time I ordered here, the delivery man called me 4TIMES to repeat my address(after I repeated it 3 times the first time he called). Needless to say, I stopped answering and left them to handle it themseleves. The pizza never came. Pretty dissatisfied with this location. If you want good pizza, go to borelli’s. It’s a near by location with amazing pizza and italian food.

I am pleasantly surprised! I just ordered pizza from here and estimated delivery time was 30 – 40 minutes. The delivery guy got here in under 30 minutes– about 25! Pizza was hot and he was very nice! I love papa johns pizza and am glad the customer service was great too!

Love their pizza! It is so wonderful to finally live in an area where we can get something other than Dominos. It is great have a reliable store close to us. I usually order online and have has great service that way. Most recently i had to call because my order got changed to carry out when my 2 year old got a hold of the computer when I turned my back to take care of something the 7 month old wanted. The guy who answered was very helpful in getting my order changed. The pizza was at our door fast.

Was visiting a friend in Poway and decided to have a pizza delivered Saturday night. The delivery guy was fine, on time. The pizza was absolutely the worst I’ve ever had. We threw it out. Almost NO sauce, almost NO cheese, and the teeniest bit of the two toppings we ordered… maybe 6 slices of black olive and so little sausage it might has well have not been there. A complete waste of money. Total crap.

Horrible delivery and customer service. Our professor ordered pizza for our class and we waited approximately 1.5 hrs for our pizza to arrive. He ordered 5 pizzas. We had 3 people calling Papa Johns over the spans of 30 mins and all we received was a busy signal. Nobody ever answered. Pizza finally arrived and they only brought 2 pizzas! When asked about the other 3, he didn’t even know what we were talking about. Another delivery driver arrived shortly after, and had the additional pizzas. THEN…the delivery driver did not have enough change. He left to go count money in his car and returned. When he returned, when asked about the change, he informed us that Papa Johns didn’t even send him with enough change so he pulled a $ 10 from his wallet and will get reimbursed when he gets back. This is absurd! Nobody should have to wait on a weekday for a total of 2 hrs for pizzas. Then for it to arrive and be incorrect. Needless to say, this pushed our class back because we were dealing with this entire fiasco. Ridiculous. Everyone in class has agreed to boycott this place because of the horrible service received. I really hope he calls after class and gets some kind of apology, money back or vouchers for FREE pizza.

Haven’t bought pizza here for quite some and now I know why. Service is bad and the pizza I received was not what I ordered and was not told about it. If there is a missing ingredient then I should be told rather than find out for myself. Really wasn’t happy with the service. They don’t give Parmesan cheese anymore.

This is just absurd. It is 11:42PM on a Saturday and I have called almost every minute because they are the only pizza place that delivers to my location and I’m obviously in dire need of some za. Long story short every time I called it was busy I’m sure these stoners had the phone off the hook so they didn’t have to work. Absolute unprofessionalism.

Same experience as Jeff T in another review. Long story short, they overcharged me on the pizza. I called corporate 5 times to try to get it fixed, each time they said that the franchise owner would call back to rectify the situation. They NEVERCALLED. Quality also has gone way down, what other pizza place makes the crust 2.5″ thick? Cutting corners, bad owner, lack of culpability = AVOIDAVOIDAVOID!!!

This place is always so chaotic and busy. I don’t know who the manager is but the staff turnover must be huge. I will not go there again until something changes. These poor kids have no leadership. The pizza was good for cheap takeout so I will give 2 stars. Hopefully something is done about the atmosphere in there.

Papa John’s motto rings true: Better ingredients. Better pizza. I have always found their pizzas to be more flavorful than their delivery pizza chain competitors. With that in mind, this review constrains itself to this location and their delivery offerings. Their delivery times have always been in the ballpark, if not accurate. The drivers have always been friendly, however forgetful they may be, time and again, of my 2L bottles of soda. I’ve noticed that online orders do not arrive as quickly as old-fashioned phone-in orders. If you phone it in and pick it up, it’s on you to request pepper flakes and Parmesan. Their staff is usually very busy, and are as friendly as possible given their circumstances. Phones are ringing off the hook during busy hours, so be ready to pay and escape if you’re picking up, or you might be caught waiting for that one old dude who wants the counter person to read them their entire menu.

Love Papa John’s but this place is pretty bad. We’ve ordered about 3 times at our condo and once at a friends house. Every time, the pizza was 30 minutes late(no apology included) and twice was over an hour late. Each time we have ordered online, we chose a time for the pizza to be delivered and it’s treated with give or take 1.5 hours! Twice the same gentleman has delivered and seems he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Today he tried to ask for money when I paid online. When I asked him to call the location he put it on speaker phone so I was able to hear everything. Mind you, he forgot to tell the woman he did so. She could not find the ticket on her hand and I even heard her cuss over the phone. She then later asked to speak to me so I let her know I could hear her! In the end, it was fixed but OMG people! Get it together.

We get pizza only about once every couple of months, and of the choices near where we live, we’ve decided that Papa John’s is the best option. Overall quality and taste for the price it’s hard to beat. Service-wise, they tend to be okay. We’ve learned to check the pizza before we leave the store, because a couple times they have made mistakes. They are always very willing to correct the problem, and that’s fine as long as we have the time to wait. We like the crust on the pizza, and always get extra cheese. Just remember to check the box BEFORE you leave. They have given us a free pizza once when they messed up, so we know that they are trying to do things right.

First off, I love Papa John’s Pizza, just not this Papa John’s Pizza. The manager of this place needs to learn a thing or two, or three, or four about customer service. I ordered a pizza utilizing my rewards points. I ordered it in advance online. I showed up at 6PM to pick-up my pizza and was told it was not ready and should be out in 5 minutes. I checked again with the counter staff 10 minutes later, they went look in back, my box was there but still no pizza. The guy said it should be out any minute. To make a long story short, 45 miniutes after I arrived, I left with no pizza and worse of all, they took my rewards points. I filed a complaint with their headquarters and received a quick response stating that they were sorry and that the manager would contact me. A week went by with no contact, so I contacted HQ again and they apologized and said they would contact the manager and he/she would contact me. A month has gone by and still not contact from the manager. I have not gone back and will not go back since they didn’t have the decency to fix their wrong.

We ordered pizzas to go for my son’s birthday party and they did great … delivered on time, all neatly stacked in the party room, piping hot and delicious! The only issue was that they offered to slice the pizza party style(12 instead of 8) so everyone can sample different types, and they did not do it like they said. Still, no big thing since there was enough for everyone. Not as cheap as other pizza mills, but we will be back for the convenience factor and good service.
