Awesome spot in OB always gotta love the phở. Nice that this location has alcohol not just beer and stuff. I think by now most people know how good this place is…

Can’t go wrong with this place. Cool vibe, always a good crowd, and the food is soo good. It’s a staple for dinner in SD.

A day later, thinking back on my experience, I can’t help but excoriate whoever is in charge of this place. Our fifteen minute wait turned into forty(after driving from their small location to their other location that was supposedly much bigger so out wait time would be less). The music was obnoxiously loud. People literally cheered when it went out for a second. But of course the kept it on. Our waiter was actually really good, but that didn’t overcome everything else. I ordered some Hong Kong noodle beef thing and so did my buddy. There were literally three to five small pieces of beef drowned in vegetables(tons of lettuce) and noodles. It tasted pretty good but left me deeply unsatisfied. How lame. Good thing the beer was only $ 7 or something.

Really great phở and even better atmosphere. Come here with my husband whenever we are having a craving or it’s a chilly day out. During the day it’s seat yourself but in the evenings they have a hostess. They have multiple TVs playing whatever game is on and quirky pop culture T-shirts for sale with company name on them. Service is always really as they have multiple people working at a time so it’s never one of those things where it’s «oh, he’s the only waiter so it’ll be like 30 min before he gets to us» nah. It’s as soon as you walk in, someone spots you, they talk to you, and 5 minutes later you’re enjoying your meal. Really quick service that does not cut into the flavor. They are always so friendly too. Even when we take time to talk before looking at our menu. Great people. Never act like we are wasting their time. The phở! So good! Some of the best, freshest phở I’ve had around here! We also tried their spring rolls and those are HUGE and delicious. The table next to us had a few noodle and rice plates that looked and smelled AMAZING. Next time I will want to try it but I’ll still want the phở. Decisions decisions. Atmosphere is great. It’s really simple design and open space. Even at night when the crowds come in for the bar and music it doesn’t feel bad. Still breathable. The music at night is great. I don’t know what pandora station it was but my husband and I were singing along to every song while eating and watching the Lakers. Great time all around. Definitely try it out.

Surprisingly good! I am talking about the taps and the sizzling fish! Got a Sapporo and a Grapefruit Sculpin. BTW Unilocal check in for a $ 5 Sapporo plus a sake shot(shot was overly sweet, didn’t care) Food food food, the sizzling fish was a large piece of fillet, topped with onions, salt and pepper, and whatever ingredients. Served really hot on the sizzling pan which have a nice crunch on the edge of the fillet. The fish was flavorful inside out! Served with a bowl of rice. Definitely recommend even if you don’t like fish, haha. I am gonna go back and try their wings too, as everyone in Unilocal is raving about it.

Aside from the salty Korean bbq… everything is awesome! Good Food and good service… parking is a challenge though.

Skip the phoh and go for the fried rice. It’s AWESOME. Great portions for the money, and they don’t skimp on the protein. The atmosphere is great. And they seem very pet friendly. Definitely recommend. ESPECIALLY for out of towners like myself who aren’t used to overpaying for restaurant food like the locals. Oh, and they make a big deal out of birthdays… ;)

This location, much like the one a few blocks away is usually busy. What can you say, it’s a good sign! Noodle House is a great value for the portions. It is fusion, so don’t expect your great grandmother’s phở. But if it’s a chilly day in San Diego, you’d better bet that their will be a wait for the indoor seats. I’m a fan of the veggie phở, the spring rolls, the tofu lettuce rolls and the beer list. Of course there are plenty of meaty options, and I’ve heard great things about the house fried rice. My only gripe is that the music/sound in here can get ridiculous. And not just a Saturday night. It’s difficult to hold a conversation over the sound of the music/other patrons. At least you can’t hear your date slurping their noodles. PS: say yes to the PB Jamo Shot. It’s magic. But don’t say yes too many times, or you may find yourself regretting the morning.

Love the atmosphere, how dog friendly they are, and the space available on the outdoor patio. Came for lunch on a weekday and there was a good amount of people here but still plenty of room to be seated immediately. We sat outside with the dogs which is super convenient especially located so close to the dog beach. We started with their amazing tropical tea. Best tea ever. Get it. We had edamame, chicken lettuce wraps and spicy garlic wings as appetizers. All really good. The wings were unique and served with ranch. Chicken lettuce wraps were juicy and flavorful. Edamame was as it is at most other Asian inspired restaurants but still very good. Entrees; #9 phở and seafood chow fun. The chow fun was extremely flavorful with lots of fresh veggies but I would recommend a different protein option. The seafood was not impressive. Calamari was extremely overcooked and chewy and the crab was imitation. I’ll try chicken next time. The phở was very good. Service was lacking but we weren’t in any rush so it was fine. He seemed to know menu well but was MIA for most of our meal, never came to check how everytging was, and wore headphones while interacting with us which seemed a bit odd/rude.

It’s taken me since this location opened to get in and give it a try. I’m a fan of the original location, just not of the parking situation. The parking was easy for this location since it’s a bit off the main drag. I like this location a lot more because the vibe is more laid back and the staff is less pretentious and the whole restaurant seems… less sticky(for lack of better words) than the original location. I love the outdoor seating and how the bar opens up to the outside. Even if you are seated indoors, you can enjoy the feeling of being outside. The happy hour beer special for $ 2 a pint is AWESOME! Throw in a $ 7 bowl of delicious rare steak and well done brisket phở and call it a day! You can have a delicious meal for $ 10. They accept credit cards, which is a huge bonus for places located in OB.

from the outside, looking at this casual bar & patio, i did not expect OB noodle house to serve Vietnamese fusion food, definitely a first for me! the bar is very open with a large patio as well to take advantage of the San Diego weather —chicken lettuce wraps: very flavorful and the chicken was very moist, but it was a bit on the salty side —chicken wings: this were crispy & yummy, a nice dish for sharing —PEANUTBUTTER jameson shots: A MUST, as dessert or just because, they are so good and unique that i wish more bars offered these! great spot to get food & drinks in Ocean Beach but unfortunately service was pretty slow NOTE: i hear their other location was featured on Food Network’s diners drive-ins and dives

I have been to OB Noodle house multiple times and always ordered the Ramen but decided it was time for a change. Lets just say, it was a feast! My buddy just moved to OB and he suggested we take a trip to OB Noodle house. After a few beers, we wanted to go with something different so we ordered the Beef Chowfun and Wings. Both were incredible! The wide egg noodles has so much flavor in them and also lots of meat and veggies. The wings were perfectly crispy and also a good amount of meat on them. We were able to get a table on the patio and people watch the entire meal. Overall, this new location is great and I highly suggest checking out some of the other menu options beyond the Ramen(which is also great).

Went there for dinner today. I think i love it. One of my coworkers suggested their house fried rice to me, so i tried it. To be honest, the fried rice was just… fried rice. It’s mildy spicy so it’s great when you have good appetite. I also had the ramen wrapped shrimp(summer shrimp) and it was just bomb!!! I loved it. It was unique with the crunchyness of the ramen and somewhat chewy taste of the shrimps. I also had the spring rolls, umm. just mediocre spring rolls. what i absolutely love was their service. i was talking to my friend and i pointed to the TV, our server came and asked if i needed anything *embarassing*. and our server was really funny, it just adds to my dining experience. when we were taking off, i needed some boxes and the server was detailed enough to see i also needed some sauces with my appetizers leftover and he got me some sauces to go. I was so impressed by their service.

I really liked it here. It was a little fancier than I expected, but the prices didn’t scare me away. They had a delicious bowl of phở that I slurped up appreciably and the tofu spring rolls were refreshing. They were welcoming of our Dane, and we appreciated that. The cocktail menu is huge, the beer selection is long enough to make your head hurt. I chose a sour pumpkin cinnamon spice and it was tasty. It had a fluffy foam on top that invited you in and that sour kick I was looking for, but the autumn apices mellowed out the edges. Our waiter was fast and responsive without lingering unwanted and she even encouraged me to sample the sours to see what I wanted. Worth the time and money! Only suggestion… I wish they had bun. I always prefer bun to phở.

Came here with a group on Sunday evening around 7pm. Haven’t been here in a while. It was a little packed, but we had a short 20 minute wait. We got seated and were able to look over the menu, but we already had an idea of what we wanted. We ended up sharing a few appetizers and ordering a few dishes. Appetizers: Tiger Shrimp, Spicy Garlic Chicken Wings, Fried Dumplings Dishes: Phở Tai(rare steak), House Special Fried Rice, Hong Kong Chow Fun with Beef and Vegetables It was plenty of food for our group of four. The food was pretty good. They serve decent portions… we had a fair amount of leftovers. They have 37 craft beers on tap and over 100 different whiskeys and other spirits. Lots of drink options! Atmosphere is lively, music loud, NFL preseason was on, kung fu movie on(at the big screen near the bar)… this place had a lot of different things going on, but there’s a good vibe here. Service was good, waiter was friendly(checked on us at least 3 – 5 times), food was delicious. Parking can be a pain and so can the wait, but that’s expected in OB especially at a popular bar/restaurant.

Totally didn’t expect this bar to be such a great place to have lunch with the family! Food and service were great! I would totally come back one day(without the family) and try the bar side. Seems like a popping place to be and so many drinks I’d like to try! I will be back soon!

Let me start by saying that I am very picky when it comes to certain foods. OB Noodle House did not disappointed whatsoever! I still cannot get over how good EVERYSINGLETHING was! Everything was absolutely incredible. I already plan to come back here next time I’m in San Diego. I highly recommend the: Friend Dumplings Spicy Garlic Wings Sizzling Fish House Special Fried Rice(!!) Stir Fried Crispy Egg Noodles Try the peanut butter Jameson shots(sounds weird but they’re great) and the whiskey smash! Zach was our server and was super nice and attentive. Can’t wait to return!

It’s a small venue and it is well known(thanks Food Network!), and because of that there can sometimes be a wait for a table especially if you have a large group. Came here a few days ago to celebrate one of my cousins moving away for school with a group of 9 and table wait was about 30 – 45 minutes. Parking was horrible but that’s what you get when going to a beach town. I’m pretty sure the bf and I found parking 2 blocks away. So there’s that… it’s street parking and hunting down the best spots to park(with the narrowest spaces in between the two cars nearest you). Didn’t get to try their noodles(well the bf ordered pan fried crispy noodles, seafood combo) but ordered their chicken satay appetizer which could very well be an entire meal. Three big skewers of chicken marinated in satay sauce on a lettuce leaf and served with pickled carrots and daikon and a small cup of the peanut sauce. I wanted to order their spicy garlic wings too because a cousin recommended it, but I was getting full. Luckily the same cousin placed two orders of said wings and I got to eat 3 of those wings… the appetizer tray for wings comes with 12 wings for about $ 13. Nice and crispy, not oily, not too spicy but it does creep up on you in the end, and you can dip with their ranch dressing if you want. I am salivating at this very moment because I have a big craving for wings, and not just any wings… these wings from OB Noodle House Bar 1502. Sadly I don’t live close enough(but that could be a good thing too). Their infused sake is really good too. Cousin ordered the melon infused sake(half sweetened) and it tasted like one of those green melon ice cream bars you get from the Asian supermarket, but with a hint of sake. Goes down very smooth and sweet(even at half sweetened). So if you do get a chance to be in Ocean Beach, check this place or the other OB Noodle House(this one is bigger) about a block away and get some wings. Oh and the place is dog friendly, but only on the patio side. Not to worry if you think it may be too cold at night because there are plenty of stand-up heaters by the patio. Oh and if you are celebrating something, like a birthday, they do this thing/tradition where the celebrant has to chug a bottle of their sake(350ml bottle) in front of everyone. The fastest chugger wins but you just get celebratory rights, and a little drunk. The beer list comes in a nifty print-out check form which shows all of the prices too. Mmm…amazing wings.

This place is great, phở sho(ooooh, see what I did there!?)! If you are familiar with the original location, you might be surprised by the vibe and ambience at Bar 1502. It feels a bit more North Park than the original place, but they never seem to have as long of a wait(woohoo). The food is very reasonably priced and you get good portions. I never leave hungry — trust me, that’s saying something! Oh, they have vegetarian phở as well!
