Great garden vegetable salad. The balsamic salad dressing was phenomenal, and the real brewed ice tea really hit the spot! I will be back!

Prices are a little night but the sandwiches are very good and the staff is friendly. I usually get the Turkey Panini which comes with lots of turkey, bacon and avocado.

Just finished the Ever Roasted Chicken Panini” and I must say it was scrumptious. I’ve never been a big sandwich person but this sandwich was fantastic! I will be back for many more.

I came here for lunch for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The meat and cheese are all Boars Head and all the veggies seemed really fresh. I had the turkey wrap and it was delish! Lots of turkey and fresh avocado. The price was normal(around $ 7 with chips) and it was ready very quickly. Everyone there was very nice and there was an outdoor patio to sit and eat. I’ll definitely be returning for lunch!

I order lunch to go occasionally here. Love their Seared Ahi Tuna Salad! Yum! My fave item here! Their Chicken Cesar Salad is good too, but nothing amazing. Their portions are small for the price they charge… the Chicken Cesar Salad portion was measly. Though I was impressed that their Seared Ahi Tuna Salad was actually a decent portion for the price. Their sandwiches and wraps are nothing out of the ordinary, needs to liven their sandwiches/wraps up! They need to make it more tasty! Service is decent, place is small but does have a patio as well.

This is a nice little hidden gem nestled just outside of the Hilton garden inn… I have been here twice now and both times I have had an outstanding experience. I wouldn’t consider myself a deli snob, but I do love sandwiches and often can tell a good one from a bad one. This place has high quality boars head meats and cheeses, the staff is always accommodating and friendly and the location has some awesome outdoor seating options to absorb the sun on your lunch hour. I would recommend this place if you want a good deli sandwich(try the pastrami or turkey), a bag of chips and a drink(soda, juice, water, coffee & tea) in a timely manner.

Great quality sandwiches. Always huge and have more to save for later. Wish they had longer hours bc I work nights!

This deli is a couple of blocks from my office. They have decent food. The price is a little steep, but that is to be expected as they don’t have any other eateries to compete with. I drop by every now and then when I am short on time for lunch.

Grilled veggie wrap. Small and pricey. Good in a pinch but not crave-able.

Good but prices too steep. At $ 12 for a combo they need to shave off $ 2-$ 3 to match the quality to price ratio of other places recognizing it is premium meats.

Limited but tasty selection! I’ve been here for lunch 3x now: First time got a greek wrap with chicken. I was not overly impressed with the wrap. It seemed smaller than I’d expected and I didn’t care for the tzatziki sauce. Second trip I decided to go with a wrap again(in an effort to stay healthy) and ordered a turkey wrap. This wrap was really tasty and I was actually impressed with the amount of turkey stuffed in. The third time I got a roast beef panini. I was a little confused by the presentation(it was in a burger bun?) but the bun was fluffy and tasted fresh, while the cheese was melted and the beef was hot, so I didn’t have any gripes. Love that they serve healtheir chips options(plus Doritos if you’re feeling like a guilty indulgence) and I love that they have Chuao chocolate bars here! There are also very few people here. Four stars for consistent quality. Wish they’d expand the menu a little more.

The sandwiches here were really tasty, but tiny, and so not worth the $ 10 price tag. Its about equal distance for me to come here for a sandwich(a small deli attached to a hotel in a business park) or to drive to downtown Del Mar and get a huge sandwich a block from the beach at Board and Brew. It really is no contest. If the prices here were more reasonable($ 7 at most), I would definitely consider coming back, but until then, Board and Brew it is.

cute little sandwich joint tucked in the armit of the hilton. nice indoor décor, beer and wine, with yummy sandwiches. came by to meet up with some friends briefly today and made my own sandwich. LOVED the meat(pastrami) piled high. all the veggies that they did not skimp on and soft fresh bread. They had a good selection of drinks and kettle chips and the prices were reasonable. Quiet little place to escape for lunch on Friday and I enjoy the tame surroundings. Delicious sandwich and pickle. Will absolutely return. Only ate half the sandwich and I’m bursting at the seams. 4.5 Enjoyed very much.

Good sandwiches and pretty much the only selection within walking distance to the businesses here. The staff are generally very friendly although there has been some changes recently that isn’t all that great but will give them a chance and see how it goes. Kinda hard to miss with the food selection.

Best deli in the area. They use Boars Head meat so you know that is good. It is located in the hotel parking lot and is connected to the hotel. You get a good sized sandwich at a fair price.

A fantastic spot for a relaxing lunch. The turkey wrap was delicious and a perfect size. It was on the high side for cost, but I’d go again if I’m in the area.

A great deli with a nice selection of Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. The hours of operation(and menu items) have shrunk over time(spring 2011), as this location doesn’t attract much drive-by business. The local employees, though, are happy to have this nice lunch option and can occasionally produce a line at the counter. The service is reasonably quick and food is quite good. The menu is mostly make-your-own deli style, with a few paninis and a salad option(not their best item). They have a grill and can make really nice pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. My favorites: Pastrami sandwich or the Turkey Panini No fountain sodas, but they do have a cold case full of canned and bottled sodas and beer license. Small outdoor seating area and an even smaller indoor seating area. They also sell a small selection of craft beers(warm) for takeout.

Hands down the best Deli in Carmel Valley, Del Mar or Solana Beach! The Roast Beef panini is so good. The meat is tender the horse radish has a bite! Go NY Garden Deli

Well-said Valerie H. This place is indeed a hidden gem. Finding a good sandwich place is tough in Del Mar/Carmel Valley. Board and Brew in Del Mar is also very good, but the two are very different. This is a Boar’s Head deli, which allows you to create your own sandwich, piling on multiple cheeses/meats/veggies, or you can pick from a number of their delicious paninis, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. You can add chips, a drink, and sit out on their umbrella-covered patio for about the same price as grabbing Subway. Try it. It’s good.

This hidden gem is tucked inside the Hilton Garden Inn in Carmel Valley/Torrey Hills. You can build your own sandwich(two meats and cheese) with choice of veggies(pepperoncini, olives!) and fresh baked bread from the best local bakery, Bread & Cie in Hillcrest. The sandwiches are huge with healthy servings of Boar’s Head meat! I’ve also tried their grilled veggie panini on a baguette. I almost always go for meat. This veggie sandwich(grilled eggplant, squash, bell peppers with pesto sauce) was hearty and savory! For an extra $ 2, you can make it a combo and try gourmet chips(Pop Chips, not fried or baked) and a large soda. If you have the time to enjoy your sandwich on location, they have a several outdoor seats and heat lamps. Love this deli!
