As a volunteer at the NHA I have had the best times with these kids. The kids (ages 7−13/grades 2−6th) are smart, funny and entertaining. Us volunteers tutor the children with their homework, subjects they are struggling in or even get a head start in class. NHA is a great organization that offers programs for everyone (kids, infants, senior citizens, veterans, family in need, etc) and I’m honored to be part of their volunteering team.
I would like to volunteer more during the week but unfortunately I relocated to Carlsbad and won’t make it on time to tutor again. However I am still involved with other programs offered by NHA such as the head start. I look forward to volunteering at their Olympic event for the Head Start Program.
