«KAZ» is the BEST hair stylist I’ve ever had. She listened my totally picky request what I want to and had my hair cut exactly what I expected.
Also they offer Shampoo and massage service, which are included in your bill.
Hair cut is $ 43 for men, and ask price for women’s haircut.
I totally recommend «KAZ» even if you are first time to come visit this place.
I would definitely come again in the future. Thank you!

I have been going to Saguita for regular cuts for over 6 years, maybe more. She is a great stylist who knows how to deal with thick, wavy and coarse head of hair. Pricey as many reviewers have mentioned, but you will be guaranteed a great haircut.

Sugita was excellent. I have always had trouble finding a good hairstylist who is skillful enough to style my thick, coarse hair. Sugita was able to advise me on what style suited me best and she cut, colored and styled it so beautifully. Her sweet, friendly personality was also a plus! I highly recommend Sugita!

You get what you pay for. Excellent customer service and skilled staff. Even if it is a tad bit high for my haircut had a great experience all my visits I have had thus far.
My wife goes here and only them for years. She has tried to find anything comparable but has failed to find anyplace that can cut it the way she wants it.
Highly recommended to anyone that doesn’t need to make frequent visits to the barber.

Ko did my haircut. I asked for a light trim and some bangs. He had completely freedom in what he chose to do with my bangs because I didn’t know what would look better between side/​full frontal bangs. He opted to give me long side bangs but I didn’t quite like it. I did, however, like the u-​shape he cut on the back of my hair and that he followed my wishes to keep my hair long. Other stylists always cut my hair too short. The massage at the end of the haircut is a bonus and felt nice. But overall I didn’t think the price of $ 70 was worth it. Haircut prices range between $ 35-​$ 70+. From what I know, it’s cheaper if you have short hair.

Been coming here ever since a friend introduced Yuya to me close to 7 years ago. He is the best of the best when it comes to styling my hair. I trust him 100% and he always focuses on what I say I want. Keep in mind, with a great reputation like him, his schedule does get crazy and full so always book ahead.

I’ve been going to Setsuko for haircuts for many years. She’s an amazing person and very good at what she does. I am very picky with my hair because the nature of my hair, it’s very difficult to manage. I trust her 100% and always welcome her recommendations. She’s very good at layering and cutting your hair that looks good on you and easy to take care. She’s very attentive to details and gives you recommendations based on your hair type. I haven’t been to anybody else ever since I met her. I believe having the go to hairstylist is very important, and I am glad I found her!

Came here to have my hair lopped off (12 inches) by Yuya. I’m not from the area and didn’t have time to get my hair cut back in NYC, so came here via Unilocal!recommendations. He did a great job talking to me, asking questions, making sure he knew exactly what I was looking for — great precision and scissor technique. Thanks for a great cut!

this spot is «THE​BOMB​.COM»… real good hair stylist all around. ive been going here for approximately 10yrs now. My hair stylist is KO «The Man, The myth, The Legend» Reason why I have been going there for so long is because of their AWESOME customer service and the fact they are very good at cutting hair. I approve this message. FYI: you mist call for an appointment, no walkins. unless they are not busy, but they are always busy.

I like this salon a lot been going to them since 2013. They are very polite and efficient. I highly recommend Christine! She’s very engaging and styles my hair very well.

I have been visiting this salon for over two years now. My hairstylist, Christine, is always very nice and easy to work with. She listens to my needs and discusses with me what I want to do for today. She provides good suggestions about the length, style, and how to use the wax to style the hair. I love working with her and always love the smile on my face when I walk out of their salon. The pricing is pretty fair, around 40 – 50, since I have short hair and typically only requires cut and wash. Excellent service! She even gives a quick massage at the end of haircut session. I really like this place! I will continue staying with her for my haircut! One thing to know is that they do not take credit cards. Make sure you bring cash or check!

This was my first time at Moga and Kristine made my experience really pleasant. She fully understood what I wanted and provided professional advice. She was very chatty and made the two hours of getting my hair done less tedious. When I told her I was seeing my boyfriend afterwards, she volunteered to perm my hair with curling iron and insisted that I must look my best! Isn’t she the cutest! All in all, I am really satisfied with my new hair style. Kristine did exactly what I wanted and there isn’t anything that I would change about it. And on a side note, my boyfriend likes it too!

Sugita is so good. Her head message is amazing. My hair looks awesome! I’ve been to many other salon and very picky with my hair, fyi. Thumbs up!

I went to get hair cut and color at Moga Salon with Yumi weeks ago.
It was first time for me to use the salon, but she was very friendly and nice.
She listened what I like and gave me suggestion on the new hair cut and color.
She knows the new trend in Japan too. Which was very interesting for me. It’s always a plus when I can look new fashion at salon:)
Yumi gave me very nice wash with massage! (I was almost falling sleep)
I like my new her style and color, she also gave me an advice on how to arrange my hair different way.
Also, I think my color is resting longer than before.

When it comes to my hair, I spare no expense. If there’s a time where trust is a challenge, it would be getting your hair cut for the first time from a salon you’ve never been to. However, at the recommendations of both my boyfriend + housemate (loved their cuts!), and rave reviews on Unilocal — I put my faith in Moga. The result: exceeded expectations!
My hair was way too long, I wasn’t going to be in San Jose or NYC soon (I have stylists there), and I needed it cut ASAP. I wanted to schedule an appointment the same day I gave Moga a call and the only available time they had was in 20 minutes. However, they were really accommodating and scheduled me for about half an hour later than what they had available. A+ for service this far.
My hair was cut and styled by Kristine (Christine?)! As with pretty much every stylist reviewed here, Kristine was very meticulous and exhibited great attention to detail. My hair was almost as long as my back and it’s been a while since I had a cut up to my neckline. I wasn’t entirely sure how I wanted to cut/​style my hair, but Kristine took it away and the result far exceeded what I had in mind. I’m still fawning over my new hairstyle! Kristine was also great company and we conversed over a variety of topics. It was A+ service all around — I highly recommend Kristine!

Yumi is my stylest. She’s brilliant. It’s $ 40 every time but I am willing to spend that money to get the service here. Love Moga.

Ko is amazing! He’s been doing my mom’s hair for 20 yrs! He’s current, or even ahead of hair fashion and techniques keeping you looking fashion-​forward! Extra mile touches that you typically only expect from super high-​end salons (scalp massage, shoulder and head massage) were an unexpected delight.

YUYA is great! He has been my hairstylist for years. I have not seen him over a year. And he remebers the last haircut he did for me. He is very perionable and funny. He does great haiircuts and styles. He also knows when to not agree with the type of cuts I may need because he knows my hair. He is great ! He is booked all the time so if you make a schedule appointment with hime yo better call in advance.

I have been a Moga customer for 10+ years. I tried various hair stylists (3+). Most of them are only able to keep cutting the same hair style regardless of what style you show to them in a magazine. They keep raising the prices on haircut and perms. I recently found a new Japanese hair salon in San Diego (Montblanc Hair Field) and I think the quality of the haircut is much worth the price. Better yet, they take credit card where Moga doesn’t. I think I’ll stop going to Moga.
