Mission Ridge, built from 1977 to 1979, is a condominium community of 277 units in the eastern section of Mission Valley. Amenities at Mission Ridge include swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, fitness center, clubhouse, outdoor grills, picnic areas, and common laundry. Some units also have in-unit laundries. HOA fees are about $ 365 a month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building and roof maintenance, sewer, gas, water(including hot water), trash pickup, termite prevention, and limited insurance. Mission Ridge is close to Qualcomm Stadium and easily accessible to the University of San Diego, San Diego State University, Fashion Valley Mall, several San Diego Trolley stations, SeaWorld, Mission Bay, Old Town, and downtown San Diego. Since living here for the past 8 years, I have seen tenants range in active seniors to young professions. Lately, I have seen a increase in families with young children like mine. It is a safe area with security guards stationed at the entrance. It has assigned covered parking in addition to visitor parking. There are several doggie areas with complementary doggie poop bags, but despite that some tenants still don’t take care of their dogs. It is a smoke free property, but there are still people who will smoke. HOA doesn’t really go after them unfortunately. The amenities are well maintained, however the plumbing is old and is in need of constant repair. I recommend this complex to young professions and young families.
