Wow. Was I surprised to find superb coffee a short walk from my Mom’s bean-free house, at a place open early enough to match my inner clock. Sorry, but it beats out both Peet’s and White Rock. Don’t even mention that serene green queen, that’s NOT coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious maple-glazed old-fashioned on National Donut Day, as well. But its this brew that will bring me back the next time I visit my old hood. Hell, I’ve already come here for coffee five times in four days.

Coffee was on point! Didn’t see what I wanted on the menu but that didn’t stop her. She hooked me up with exactly what I was looking for. A line quickly formed behind me… This place gets a lot of parent-watching-their-kids-do-stuff traffic. Makes sense since its next to the Kroc Center.

Really good coffee and espresso drinks. They also have a and wide skeleton of snacks, sandwiches, donuts. They also have real Hawaiian style shaved ice, which I can’t wait to try sometime.

Reasons to go here: — Organic/responsibly-sourced coffee from San Diego roasters — Excellent loose-leaf teas — Workout smoothies with real ingredients rather than strange chemical mixes — Healthy and tasty snack and sandwich options — Owners and employees who are friendly and truly care about their customers — Convenience: it’s right at the entrance to the Kroc center, which makes it really easy to stop by /park easily if you are driving along University

I LOVe this little coffee shop! It’s definitely a hidden gem and I’m so glad I’ve found it! I’m not too far from it so I usually grab something on my way to work or after work. I’m a chai tea person, that’s the one drink I always get at any coffee shops because I don’t drink coffee. So the first time I came here, I tried their soy chai tea latte and I loved it, just how I like it, not too sweet. I love the fact that they have soy and almond milk as an option. Most places have one or the other. I alternate between those two when I get any drinks there. I’ve also tried their ice blended green tea matcha and their pre/post workout smoothie, the green machine. I loved the green machine, it has whey protein, kale, chia seeds, banana and I get it with almond milk. I usually get it after my workout and it re-energizes me, love it! I still haven’t had a chance to try their pastries and other snacks, but I will very soon, they all look delish!

When my friends told me about a coffee shop at the Kroc, I expected it to be the burnt, subpar coffee you expect from AM/PM. Boy, am I glad my expectations were way off the mark! I love the coffee here, both brewed and whole beans. They always have such unique roasts, and are great at helping you to choose between their numerous options. I personally LOOOVEEEE their Dirty Chai, it’s the drink I keep coming back for! Also, for those busy days where you are running a little late(never happens… right? :)), they have online ordering from their app, so your drink can be ready for you to just grab and go.

So, Im not sure what to say. When I saw a grilled breakfast sandwich on the menu, I never would have guessed that I was going to get a frozen Jimmy Dean croissant breakfast sandwich cooked in a pannini press. Huh :-\ It would probably be better to stick to less creative food options.

It’s actually really really good coffee and espresso drinks. They use organic coffee and make unique flavored drinks, like a ginger lime cold brew. Prices are good and the staff is friendly. You don’t expect such a good coffee shop at the Kroc center, but it is!

I can’t believe that I haven’t written a review for this place yet. This is one of my favorite coffee carts in San Diego, and a little gem in La Mesa :) I love the blended mocha here, and I used to get it on a weekly basis during summer. As you can see, I’m trying really hard to get that rockin’ beach body! HA! sarcasm intended… Anyway, the customer service at this place deserves a solid FIVESTARS! I’m a talker, and I’ve spoken to about 5 different staff members as I’ve waited for my coffee, and they all have been super personable. The manager is also this super down to earth guy! Service and drinks: 5 stars :)

Coffee is definitely great here! It is a small place and not the usual coffee shop environment, but its cute and relaxing. The service is good, they know their coffee. If you look at the menu, you could tell they are coffe experts. The prices are reasonable and the coffee drinks are delicious. Try the Caramel MissionBrew Iced Blended Latte or their regular brewed coffee.

Great little coffee spot in the busy Kroc Center. Solid coffee, helping improve the quality of San Diego’s growing coffee scene. There’s a guy named Sam, who works there, he is one really friendly and helpful employee! If he is working when you are there, he will surely put a smile on your face.

COFFEE! San Diego lacks high quality coffee spots the way it lacks cloudy days. And Mission Brew Coffee is just that, a high quality cloudy day(I’m not good at analogies). I frequent the MBC, love the pour over hot coffees and also appreciate the lack of sorrow in the eyes of the baristas that I’ve grown accustomed to at other places. Mission Brew is the rare coffee shop that has good coffee, accepts credit cards, smiles at you, and doesn’t judge you for procreating and bringing your offspring to the coffee shop. They have great customer service, really good coffee, and a firm understanding and appreciation of the circle of life. You know another thing that I like about Mission Brew? No free dog treats sitting in the window. Why do businesses do this??? Keep the dog food away from the human food, please. This is unashamed pandering to dog owners and shows a lack of confidence in the product their selling. It’s like the girl that wears a tiara to prom. No darling, we’ll decide if your prom queen. So thank you, Mission Brew, for the good coffee, nice baristas, and no free dog treats. PS If you guys decide to add dog treats, that’s fine, I’ll probably still come. I’ll just need to heavily revise this review.

We’re not coffee snobs by any stretch of the imagination but that said, we probably split between our Keurig made coffee mugs at home and our local Starbucks around the corner. But when we are at the Kroc Ice Center, we gladly skip making our Keurig brewed Java or our usual Starbucks run. Why you might ask? Well, to be quite honest, Mission Brew has the BEST tasting Hot Café Americano we’ve ever tasted! It’s almost like we look forward to going there. Not only that, but the staff at Mission Brew are some of the nicest folks you’ll ever have working hard to make sure you leave happy. The only thing is their hours are optimized to take advantage of events, activities, and the traffic at the Kroc Center. That said, they may not be open if you’re just in the neighborhood and it’s late, or if you’re on the way to work and it’s early. But, if you happen to be in the College/Rolando/East San Diego area, and you’re looking for a good cup of Joe, or a Panini sandwich, give Mission Brew a shot! You won’t be disappointed…

Coffee is great here. I ordered an iced coffee. The barista dude told me that it is cold brewed overnight. They didn’t have any toffee nut flavoring but the coffee had such great flavor I didn’t care. Location is off the beaten track but it’s fun to find local joints that care about making good coffee. Place is new and owned by a couple of brothers from the Midwest. I recommend. Price was about same as the big coffee joints.

I found this place on Unilocal searching for coffee houses in the area. They had 5 stars and I see why. Yummy coffee and great service. Josh helped me this morning and was so very nice. I will be back here.

My favorite morning stop. It’s fast, good coffee. They serve pretty good espresso drinks, lattes and white chocolate mochas and what not, but I almost always get their pour over coffee. They use beans from Café Calabria for their«Mission Cup», which is basically single-source freshly ground coffee beans prepared using the pour-over method. It guarantees a great cup of coffee everytime. They have a selection of donuts as well, and if you’re going to grab something to eat, you have to try the blueberry buttermilk bars. I have never had anything like it, and it is very good. Lastly, it is in the Kroc center, and you don’t always want coffee before or after your workout, so they serve some great smoothies, and also shaved ice. They serve good panini sandwiches too.
