More and more events are being held at the Mira Mesa Rec center. Though parking is limited, Mira Mesa High School is always an option right across the street. Most recently they held the 1st annual Night Market and the location was perfect for its size. This is also a good place to see 4th of July fireworks.

Fist time to the Asian Festival. Good food and entertainment. Will definitely be back next year! I had okonomiyaki Japanese pancake delish with a side of squid on a stick. Was not expensive for a family. I bought the theme T-shirt Mochi for $ 5 great price for a souvenir.

Had a lot of fun here last weekend at the Filipino festival! Very spacious area and good for kickball, softball, or baseball games. I like that there is also a Recreation center around if you would like to go inside and play basketball or ping pong… or use the bathroom lol =)

What a nice place for Mira Mesa to have community events. There is an onsite recreation center that you can have events at and lots of green space to have picnics, walk your dogs, play in the park, or have cultural activities. I have attending several events at the park and the park serves as a nice space. The only drawback is that if there is a huge event, parking can be limited in the lots closest to the park. Otherwise, Mira Mesa High is across the street and typically is available when there are no spaces in the neighboring lots. Actually, it’s better to park at MMHS due to the traffic. The intersection is safe to cross with the stop light. There is also limited shade, so if you’re there for a while for events, etc, it’s best to bring your own canopy or big umbrella.

This park is okay. I live by it so I walk my dog through it all the time. Beware of the grass though… it’s a dog poop minefield. I always walk on the sidewalk because people in Mira Mesa don’t know how to pick up dog poop. They do have less bag stations than other parks in San Diego though, but most dog owners have a little disposable income so it’s not that hard to buy a darn dog bag dispenser or bring an old grocery bag… c’mon now we’re Californians… recycle and reuse so I don’t have to stomp in dog poop –___–

This is a nice park we go to very often. It’s not the most beautiful park in San Diego but there is a nice grassy area to run around on, people are often playing soccer or Frisbee there, there are two baseball fields, a basketball court, and a nice Rec center. The playground is decent, all in sand. All the neighborhood kids come to hang out, particularly there are tons of South Asian families with their kids, and lots of elderly people as well hanging out or taking walks. There are many picnic tables, though not many in the shade. There is a pavilion which it looks like you can rent but the pavilion has no tables just FYI. it’s a safe park though not well lit at night. Parking is street parking.

Here is a Park next to The Rec Center pretty good and good place for a walk and stroll or just to play basketball.
