First off these gents are SD Charger fans which gives them a nod right off the bat! We used Mastiff ‘s food truck for our wedding at the Los Penasquitos Ranch House in October of 15′. Jacob, Eric and Nicole provided a level of service and food that went above and beyond expectations. The staffing, chefs and coordinators made sure that the entire wedding’s food operations went off without a hitch. If you want a phenomenal party experience reach out to them. Well done Mastiff !! I frequent the food trucks around town often, and I have many favorites, but this is the one I crave the most. Fantastic food all the way around. I have yet to eat something I didn’t love. I have enjoyed the Pulled Ham and Cheese at least twice, and it is delicious. The Mastiff fries on the side are a must. I whole heatedly recommend Mastiff Sausage!

Jacob and team at Mastiff Sausage Company recently did our wedding at Luce Loft downtown and we could not have been happier. Jacob was prompt, professional and responsive in all our communication with him prior to the wedding and really went the extra mile to give us a tailor made menu that met all our wishes. On the actual day they arrived early and made our coordinator’s life easy as they had everything ready to go, no hiccups. As for the most important part, the food, it was OUTSTANDING! Numerous guests commented on how much they enjoyed all the food. The harissa aioli potatoes as a passed appetizer were a particular hit. Also the truck looked amazing as always, great photos were taken. The team cleaned everything up unobtrusively throughout the night and discretely made an exit so that the party could transition and dancing could begin. Could not have done it without these guys and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to cater an event.

Do yourself a favor and stop at this truck if you see it… freaking amazing. Had the sausage tacos and fries and was completely blown away. Fiancée had the crispy chicken wings and hot dog and enjoyed those immensely. Pro tip: all gluten free and there’s a protein option for low carb or paleo folk.

I was blown away by how delicious my chicken sandwich was. Sandwiches aren’t really my favorite thing, but I ordered and had numerous good ones while in San Diego. This was one of those. First of all I could use a lot more of those pickled vegetables. So good. Is that a side because it needs to be? Second, the bread for the sandwich was all kinds of buttery and crusty. Third, the roasted tomatoes and aioli made the sandwich pop. The moistness of the chicken helped too… yeah I said moist. The mastiff fries were good, but I wasn’t expecting potato rounds which threw me off a bit. This is the second food truck meal I’ve had in San Diego and the 2nd time one has wowed me. Why can’t Atlanta food trucks put out solid fare like y’all?(the last question was hypothetical, no need for an answer). Anyhoo, I’ll hunt you down next time I come. If you don’t want to wait Mastiff, feel free to come on over to the south for a visit to feed me good food.

Great sausages and sides and really nice people. Got the hotdog with kraut and poblano and it was delicious. All homemade and perfect. We also had to try the pig fries, perfection. Every one of the fries were crisp and full of flavor. Highly recommend them, look for their truck!

The head chef whipped up some truly delicious bites at an event I attended last night! The appetizers were great and service was friendly. It did take a while for the food to get to us, but there was only one sever, so it’s understandable. I forgot her name, but she did a fantastic job making sure everyone got to try everything on the menu. We were able to try the Mastiff Classic Bratwurst, Pulled Ham n Cheese Quarters, Slaw cups, Sausage Tacos, Beet Ruben, Mastiff fries, and veggies. My favorite item on the menu that night was the Sausage Tacos! The tortilla was crispy and the sausage was terrific. The Beet Reuben was quite good too and I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it so much. Everything else was enjoyable, except for the slaw– I didn’t really like that dish very much. I’ll have to follow their food truck to try their other menu items and am keeping them in mind for future events, since they also cater.

I tried this truck for lunch and I’m floored! I’m way more excited about their food than I should be but I really fell in love! I’m not sure what they do to their food but it is absolutely delicious. So far I have had the meatball sub and the classic bratwurst. I couldn’t decide which was better! It is exactly the right amount of spices and sauce just perfect and exactly what I was craving. The prices are extremely reasonable and the employees were very friendly. Nothing more to say except if you see them around and you’re craving sausages, give them a shot I doubt they’ll disappoint! .

Mastiff catered our wedding, came up with their own menu to fit our Hawaiian theme. From the appetizers to the main course, the food was fresh, expertly prepared, and extremely delicious. The staff was very personable and their service was very professional. If you are thinking about a caterer for any type of event, Mastiff Sausage Company is the one to call. Professional, affordable, and palate pleasing. Thank you so much for being such an important part of a most special day. Mike & Angeni Ardis.

Their spicy Italian Meatball sandwich was the best I’ve had thus far! The herb ricotta sauce is what set it apart from the rest… Such a great addition to the traditional meatball sandwich. The bread was crusty and chewy… Sigh… So good. And to top it off, I had their Mastiff Fries. So amazing! Great customer service and delicious food!

I can’t even attempt to explain how good this truck is. Everything is cooked to perfection and they clearly have culinary skills I don’t. The sausage is handmade I’m pretty sure which you can taste. The sauerkraut is out of control good and their fries are always cooked crispy but still moist. Easily the best sausage in Sam Diego. I hope they get a store soon!

Mastiff Sausage Company had their truck parked at the Maker’s Arcade today in North Park and I am super happy that I got to try their fries. I wasn’t too hungry at first but when I saw people with the pig fries, it was love at first sight. There was no turning back. It is the best potato dish! Better than baked potatoes, french fries, scallop potatoes, and etc. Toppings aside, the texture of the potato is awesome. Crispy skin, but soft interior. And topped with all the delicious ingredients(harissa aoili, cilantro, cotija cheese, confit ham hock, bacon crumble, and etc.) it is the best thing ever.

Mastiff Sausage Company surely gave me a mouthful during lunch today… I came to Mastiff by accident because I thought a different food truck was going to be at the same location… but surprise surprise Im glad I did. When I approached the truck I could not decide what type of sausage I wanted to eat… so of course I asked the Eric(who was super friendly and patient with my indecisive self) and he suggested great recommendations… I ordered the Classic Mastiff Braut with caramelized onions and bacon with the house mustard and a side of their house fries. The bun to sausage ration was perfect and even the bun was deeeelicious. The sausage was quite tasty and to be quite honesty I couldve been my usually«plain jane» self I just had the sausage, caramelized onions and little bit of mustard and be completely satisfied. CONS: I’ll hold he bacon next time because it wasnt as crispy as I would have liked and it looked more like soggy bacon bits. The side of fries($ 3) were good but not worth the price since it only came with 5 pieces. All together my lunch was slightly overpriced($ 12 and some change) for a Braut and fries. Would I come back? Maybe… lets just say the next time im craving a tasty sausage I’ll be sure to keep Mastiff in mind…

One catchy phrase(«Manlines Refined»), helpful /friendly staff, and one tasty braut score this place high in my book. I only wish I had a good beer to accompany the mouthwatering meal I was delivered here. Like usual, I walked over to the closest truck from my office, and ended up selecting the Classic Mastiff Braut, with all kinds of goodies mounded on top(roasted pobalno peppers, house kraut, caramelized onions, and crumbled blue cheese). All packed into a fresh bun, with house spicy mustard, and a touch of ketchup. Classic Mastiff Braut(Includes Two Toppings + Added Two for $ 1 Each)($ 9 + $ 2 = $ 11) — A fresh, flaky, delicious bun layered with a spicy house mustard to set the base. Included inside is the bratwurst they are famous for; juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, and a hint of spice. Piled on top were four of the five available toppings(the only one I omitted was bacon crumble), and a little added ketchup. All of this was cooked to order in a short five minute wait, making this one of my favorite quick eats around. The price here seemed a little steep for the quantity received, but the quality of the food made up for it. I was also little turned off by the cost for extra toppings, but again, the meld of tastes once I got a hold of it were worth it in the end. My two cents? I look forward to visiting again, and trying the rest of their menu, but I would like to see the price of toppings reduced, or removed all together.

The UTC area has a lot of food options, gourmet food trucks are no exception. I walked by the Mastiff Sausage Company truck and found myself hungry for encased meat. The menu, which is a bit hard to read, had their sausage sandwiches on top. They had two types, Classic and Spicy Chicken Curry. You’re granted two gourmet toppings as part of the price(House Kraut — Bacon Crumble — Caramelized Onions — Blue Cheese Sauce — Poblano Peppers). When my name was called I found a nicely dressed sausage covered in a heaping pile of diced Poblanos. I added some extra Jalapeño sauce to complete the experience. Taste — Curry, mustard, kraut, house mustard, poblanos, and added Jalapeño sauce. Somehow this all worked. In fact, this is the type of sausage sandwich that I try and make at home but never achieve this level of taste. — Definitely want to brush your teeth afterward. — Great roll(this aint no wimpy hotdog bun) — Pickled veggies. Wonder if these guys sell this stuff in a jar? — $ 9 bucks for a dog is pretty steep. You’re paying for quality and bold flavors. It’s one of these lunch items you eat then four hours later you’re still thinking about it. That’s worth the price alone. Try it again? Yes!

Best Brat I’ve ever had! Gourmet brats coming out of this truck. Brand new swanky truck with a fresh logo painted on the side and some charismatic people making magical flavors coming out of it. Got a very quality brat on a pretzel style bun that was fresh with amazing flavor. Add some great kraut, crumbled bacon, caramelized onions, quality mustard and it doesn’t get any better. Absolutely my favorite food truck in SD so far or maybe anywhere. Even better being parked outside of Thorn St. Brewery. Get a great meal and pair it with some tasty beer. Doesn’t get much better than this!

Bummer, I was hoping the sausages coming out of the Mastiff Sausage Company Food Truck would have been better. I recently gave Mastiff a try at the 3rd Annual Gourmet Food Truck Festival at the Del Mar Racetrack this past Saturday. I was super excited to try as they have 5 stars on Unilocal and even advertise that on the side of their truck on a Chalk Board stand. I ordered the Italian and the Coconut Curry. The sausages were massive but the downfall for me was that they were super dry. I don’t know if they were overcooked or what, but they were dry and tough. :( Of the 2, the coconut curry chicken was the better sausage. I’m open to giving them another try, so I hope to get my hands on a juicer sample some time soon.
