This place is super sketchy. Let me tell you my experience… I walk in and see what looks like someone’s living room, complete with a coffee table, some couches, and a family. As soon as I open the door everyone just turns around and stares to look at the non-Korean guy. Nobody says anything, they just stare. I feel like I should say something to break the awkwardness so I ask if they’re even open. One of the workers there who looks like maybe one of the family’s kids says, «Ummm… yeah. But we just sell rice cakes and dumplings,» as if she really doesn’t want to sell me anything — she just wants the non-Korean guy to leave. Well, fine by me. I don’t like buying food from racists anyway. You earned this one star review.

Stopped in because my boyfriend was curious to see what they had and I’m so glad we did! We bought the amazing homemade dumplings and some kind of cake. We will definitely go back when we finish our dumplings!

Super small family owned and operated. Walked in here looking to see what it was and a whole family was sitting around a table chatting, turns out its a small shop where they make their own dumplings and have a variety of prepared Korean dishes too. Note its not really a restaurant, theres no seating room and you buy the prepared foods to eat at home. Didn’t try the rice cakes but bought a big jar of kimchi for $ 8. Considering I was paying something like $ 4 for a miserly 2 oz or so of kimchi at Trader Joe’s this was great. Yummy kimchi and a lottttt of it, luckily despite me not being Korean I love kimchi on everything. Note that also me being not Korean maybe my reviews of kimchi should be taken with less weight if you are a Korean kimchi expert. Will be back when this huge jar runs out and will probably try some dumplings as well… Might bring someone who speaks Korean too since asking about the dishes can get tricky if you no hablas Korean.

The dduks here do not taste too great. I tried three different kinds and they were all not what i expected to taste at all. Super disappointment. It’s probably healthier though-no msg taste.

This is a really wonderful place to get handmade dumplings and kimchi. It is much more flavorful and interesting than those larger markets, a specialty food created by an amazing chef!

Review limited to their handmade dumplings: Really great quality handmade dumplings, a much better option than buying frozen dumplings at Zion. $ 15 for a big bag which seems steep but well worth all the effort that goes into making dumplings! Note: It seems that you can’t pick which type of dumplings you want. It’s choose-whatever-was-handmade that day(which you could spin as a pleasant surprise since I haven’t had a type I did not like). I’ve tried their vegetable, kimchi, and pork dumplings.

They are rice bakery and main menu is the sticky Korean rice cake. I like this place for other things, though. They have really good Korean Sushi(Kimbob). This is not a restaurant, so you are getting it to go. One pack is $ 4.50 and it is about 2 servings. They do catering as well so if you need food for potluck, you can get them here if you call in advance. Another thing I buy here is prepared Korean food, which is much better than Zion Market. Ironically, I took one star off because their rice cake is mediocre and they take cash only.
