I was shopping downtown after lunch and the 50% off sign pulled me in to look. I saw a few cute tanks, put them on my arm, walked around some more. I didn’t get any customer service and I was confused about the 50% off sign so I asked the girl who was clearly too busy on her laptop to even ask if I was doing ok or had any questions… But she with her snotty attitude said, it’s only on what’s marked… That shirt is not marked. As if I couldn’t afford it or something. What I think of this store is… It’s just another one of those wanna be boutiques that have really cheap clothes, just marked up really high. They still write receipts, come on it’s 2011 I’ll take my business else where!

Gaslamp Quarters has plenty of shops. Mango was in an interesting location between restaurants, closer towards the convention center. I don’t think I would have stopped by if it weren’t for the 50% off everything signs posted in their windows. The shelves and racks were looking a tad sparse. They must have done really well with their sale. I wasn’t sure if they were just doing a huge storewide sale or were going out of business. Mango offers women clothing from tanks to dresses to accessories. I was able to find a cute one shoulder top that fit in my price range. They had some really cute dresses but none left were in my size. There are two fitting rooms in the back corner. If the clothes weren’t on sale, I don’t think I could afford them.

If you’re walking through the Gaslamp, and you’re a woman, and you like a fashion treasure hunt, definitely stop in here… you just might find«it». What is «it»? It’s that thing in your closet that you didn’t plan on buying, but you did, and it was cheap, making it even better, and you wear it all the time and people as you«Where did you get that??? That is so cute!», and you wonder how you will go on when it finally falls apart. My «it»? Three wide leather belts that you can twist into a flower and wear with a ton of outfits. Some stuff is overpriced, but some is a steal…

I found a great deal on a little dress, and the sales gal was super nice and helpful. Not a huge selection, but some great sale stuff!

They sell Miss Me jeans here at a pretty decent price. I enjoy Miss Me jeans, and a lot of times they have cute jackets and sweaters in the winter. Mango does have a cute dress selection at the beginning of the seasons. Ask the girls behind the desk about the«S-12 wraps» and the ways to wear them, they will be glad to have something to do(and they are super cute wraps!). Ha! The workers don’t receive commission, so you won’t get harassed by some snoot looking to make an extra buck off of ya. They are usually pretty friendly and nice. The good stuff goes fast, so check after deliveries on a Friday. I’m pretty sure I used the word cute like 40 times. That’s disgusting.

I love the clothes here! It’s so cute! It’s different from the stores at the mall and their prices aren’t that bad. I got a cute black dress for only 40 bucks! I loveeeeeeeee this place!
