I saw this place while I was walking down El Cajon the other day so I went back today to check it out. Here’s what went down: I walked in to an empty store. My first impression was that it was pretty clean and bigger than it looked from the outside. After a few seconds of hovering around, a short Asian lady came up and met me at the counter. Me: «Hi, I have pants I want altered, can you taper them?» Awkward silence, then she proceeded to give me a blank look and a half mumbled«uhh. wha.» At this point it occurred to me that I spoke a little fast and she seemed like she didn’t speak english very well so maybe she didn’t recognize the word«taper». I gave it another try: Me: «Um, my pants are straight, and I want them to be thinner at the bottom, could you take in the bottom seam?» Her: «Uh. dont fit?» Me: «No they fit me, I just want the lower half taken in» Another awkward silence. Another quiet«uhh.», and then she walked over to another counter and brought over a notebook. She opened it and laid it to her right and from where I was standing I could see that it had a list of Vietnamese and English words. Awkward silence, and then I guess my request wasn’t in that list of words because she looked back at me and she was trying to say something but again the only sound that came out was a stifled«uh». I gave it another shot, trying to better explain myself, even using hand gestures to describe what I wanted, but it was no use. I asked if anyone else was working, or if there was anyone else I could talk to, and she still didn’t understand what I was saying because she kept quietly mumbling«uh. i. ahh.» and other such variations. I said, «I’ll just come back another time», but I have no intentions of returning. I suggest you dont either unless you speak Vietnamese.

Posting by my husband: Advertised cheapest prices in town, which may or may not be true, but I think they are talking about the quality of work. I recently took in 2 sets of uniforms for my work just to get pressed. They do not offer extra starch like any other dry cleaner I have been to in the past but I wanted my uniforms pressed. I go back pick up my uniforms bring them to work and when I put them on there is a huge stain on my shirt. So I take it back to the cleaners(I had just washed them before drop off) and ask them to fix it. The lady says no it was there already, yet she did not bother to call me or even say anything when I picked up my stuff. All in all I rate the service sub par, the people have really thick accents and are hard to understand. The service was bad both times I went to this place. Hope this helps save someone else from have a 50 dollar uniform from being messed up!
