This is, of course, just an opinion of the things I have experienced so far. Dr. Cooper is a good doctor and a gentleman. Not only does he explain everything very clearly, he put me at ease the very first day. He is a good conversationalist. The female assistants/receptionists could use a briefing on customer service skills(they sometimes give the impression that you are there for their benefit and not the other way around). The male assistant, however, is always polite and professional. I am not going to comment on how good the treatment is because I am undergoing it right now. The proof, as they say, is «in the pudding.» Comments to follow…

Dr. Cooper is the very best. I really like going to my appointments. He’s friendly and funny. He makes you feel very comfortable. Best doctor out there!

Dr. Cooper was snarky, that is the best word. He did not seem interested in my symptoms and was obviously not giving great concern. And, he was rude, rude rude.

I can never repay Dr. Cooper for what he has done for me. Approximately a year ago, I had a freak accident where I sustained a very serious injury to my right eye. Thankfully, Dr Cooper was the on-call surgeon that night, and performed two surgeries on me over the next week to save my eye. Within a few months, his care had restored good vision in my right eye, and life has virtually returned to normal. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Cooper. He is a great man, and an outstanding doctor.

I’ve worn glasses or contacts for the last 25 years so I’ve been to my fair share of eye doctors. Last week, I had some pain in one of my eyes that didn’t seem to go away no matter how much I cleaned my contact or rinsed out my eye. I looked for someone fairly close to my office under my insurance and found Dr. Cooper and I couldn’t be happier with his care. I made a same day appointment and while there was a bit of a wait, it was understandable given my late scheduling. Dr. Cooper’s assistants were informative and kind to me when I arrived, and I filled out the usual few forms for insurance and health that come with visiting any new medical provider. After my preliminary exam by his assistant, who was also very kind and pleasant, I overheard the doctor deal with a few other patients while I waited and he consistently provided care for them with patience, kindness and clear explanations as to their eye health. When he saw me, he apologized for the wait, patiently allowed me to explain my situation/pain and proceeded to exam my eyes. He then apologized for not having already given me some drops to alleviate the dry/painful sensation in my eye, and after doing so, he moved me to another room where he took close-up photos of my eyes so I could see the difference in their health. He then explained that I had a corneal ulcer in one eye that was causing the pain but that with the proper treatment it would heal. He then went above and beyond by giving me sample antibiotic eye drops & daily disposables to wear in the uninfected eye, and by making time for a follow up appointment the next morning to confirm it had not become infected. The drops made a huge difference and he confirmed that it was not infected the next day. Again, at the second appointment, he was kind, caring, thorough and informative. He set me up with more sample drops so I could avoid the $ 100 fee for the small bottle the pharmacy was going to charge me(with insurance!) and more disposable contacts for one eye for working out. All in all I had a great experience for the treatment of this ulcer. I would highly recommend Dr. Cooper and have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. I will continue to see him for my regular vision care with confidence.
